Prayer to St. JudeOh glorious apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and

friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered thy beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused thee to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of hopeless cases--of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing

visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great

need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and

sufferings, particularly (mention your request), and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect

throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will

never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage

devotion to thee. Amen

Rasul yang amat suci, Santo Yudas Tadeus, pelayan dan sahabat Yesus yang setia, Gereja semesta menghormati dan

memohon kepadamu, sebagai penolong dari masalah – masalah yang tidak ada harapannya, hal – hal yang tidak ada jalan keluarnya. Doakanlah aku, karena aku merasa sendirian

dan tidak mempunyai penolong.

Aku mohon kepadamu, gunakanlah kekuatan khusus yang diberikan padamu untuk memberikan kepadaku bantuan nyata

dan sesegera mungkin disaat aku merasa bahwa bantuan itu hampir tidak ada. Dampingilah aku dalam kebutuhanku yang mendesak ini sehingga aku boleh menerima penghiburan dan

bantuan surgawi atas semua kebutuhanku, masalah dan penderitaanku, khususnya (sebutkan pemintaan doa) dan sehingga aku akan memuji Tuhan bersamamu dan semua

A Student's Prayer

Loving Father, I stand before You in the midst of confusion and complexities of life. My future

sometimes seems distant and unknown. Give me, O Lord, the vision to see the path You set before me.

Grant me the courage to follow Your way, that through the gifts and talents You have given me, I

may bring Your life and Your love to others. I ask this through Jesus, Your Son and my Brother.

Prayer Before Study

Creator of all things, true source of light and wisdom, lofty origin of all being, graciously let a ray of your

brilliance penetrate into the darkness of my understanding and take from me the double darkness in

which I have been born, an obscurity of both sin and ignorance. Give me a sharp sense of understanding, a

retentive memory, and the ability to grasp things correctly and fundamentally. Grant me the talent of

being exact in my explanations, and the ability to express myself with thoroughness and charm. Point out the

beginning, direct the progress, and help in completion; through Christ our Lord.

Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom! Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the

darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing

myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true

man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever.
