汶川地震后阿里巴巴对青川坚持7年援建，未来农村战略初显。2017年，在全国国家级贫困县产生33个淘宝村，在全国省级贫困县产生400余个淘宝村；农村淘宝覆盖包括178个国家级贫困县和147个省级贫困县。

2010年集团宣布每年投入千分之三营收投入

公益，次年成立阿里巴巴公益基金会。
