    Classroom Expressions

    This lesson is to be implemented during the first few weeks of French I and is designed to

    keep students in the target language as much as possible. Students will learn classroomcommands, expressions to seek more information, and ask for permission. This

    vocabular will be used in several hands!on activities including a T"# exercise, creating

    illustrations depicting actions, and an interview activit. Students will be assessed in a$ui% where the will respond to classroom commands using visual cues and complete

    mini!conversations with an appropriate expression.

    vocabular chart that deals with classroom commands, asking for clarification, and

    asking permission. -o through the sheet with students, having them fill in the blanks with

    the English e$uivalent and their interpretation of the pronunciation. Choose whatever

    means desired to present the vocabular, whether it is acting out the expressions forstudents or simpl stating what each one means. Spend about fifteen minutes on this

    exercise.
