IMMIGRATION AND LEGAL SERVICESWe explore every possible angle for our clients to relocate legally to the US. We walk our clients through each step of the visa process to ensure everything is done correctly, to anticipate and avoid prob-lems before they happen, and to minimize the delays in obtaining a visa.

Visas

• Visa Eligibility Analysis. Our visa experts are familiar with the dozens of types of US visas and will identify which types of visa would be best for each client.

• Immigration Paperwork. We help the client complete the visa application form, identify financial and supporting documents that the client needs to collect, and submit their complete application to the correct US government agency.

• Coaching for Interviews. We pre-pare each client for their interview at the US Embassy or Consulate. This includes mock interviews via Skype or in person, ensuring that the client has everything (e.g., appointment letter, passport, two color photographs, and the required doc-uments) for the interview.

• Translation of Documents. As needed, we provided certified translation of the documents needed to obtain a visa.

• Legal Assistance. Destination USA Consulting can provide a list of immigra-tion law firms to assist in complex immi-gration cases.

Refugees

Destination USA provides some assistance

to refugees:

• Refugee Hotline. Through our hot-line, refugees can talk to one our volun-teer staff members, who is trained to un-derstand their situation and route them to nonprofit and government agencies that can help them.

• Additional Services. We offer refu-gees a 25% discount on our other servic-es. This enables us to provide customized assistance.

EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT (CEP)

We work closely with our clients to place them on the career paths that will achieve their goals, which may include more ful-filling employment, increased income, making a difference in the world, or leading a more balanced life.

• Assessment of Interests, Strengths, Skills, and Goals. We extensively interview our clients to identify their personal interests, strengths, skills, education, work experience, and ulti-mate goals.

• Determination of Career Path. Through the interview and assessment, we help each client choose a career path as de-termined by the client’s true desires, skills, strengths, and weak-nesses.

• Resume Preparation. Using information gathered in the interview and additional information emailed by the client, we create a resume tailored to the client’s career path.

• Employment Action Plan. Based on the interview and resume, we and the client develop a detailed final action plan that is realistic and fits the desired career path. For example, we may recommend the client start with a work-study program, summer program, or even a degree program prior to seeking employment in the chosen profession.

8 1629 K Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20006 [email protected]

• Work Visa Referral. If a work visa is appropriate, we identify the most appropriate companies and organizations from our comprehensive list of the H1B-sponsoring compa-nies and organizations in the chosen profession. We make a list of the top five, ranked in order of the client’s preferences. If interviews with the first five result in negative responses, we review the process, interview the companys’ decision makers to discover the reasons, and adjust accordingly for the next five companies.

• Job Interview Coaching. We coach the client for the in-terviews, customizing our approach for each company. When

possible, we provide the names and bios of interviewers and any other helpful details about them. We also conduct mock in-terviews in the style of the company or organization with whom they are interviewing. As part of the coaching, we provide a list of possible interview questions and discuss the answers togeth-er. After an interview, we review the interview with the client and prepare thank you cards for each of the interviewees.

• Networking with Potential Employers. During this pro-cess, we will also be networking with the companies’ stakehold-ers and informally lobbying for the client’s interests.

UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS COACHINGClients will often need higher education in a university or college to pursue their professional interests and ultimate career dreams. We coach our clients through every step of the process from selecting the schools that best match their chosen career to preparing for the appropriate college entrance exam to submitting ap-plications to the selected schools.

• School Selection. After reviewing the client’s work history, academic train-ing, and even extracurricular activities, we outline the majors and certifications that

offer the best pathways to the desired profession. On this basis, we identify the 10 strongest programs and schools that best fit the client and rank them accord-ing to the client’s preferences.

• School Admissions. We then con-tact the schools most important to the cli-ent to verify their admission requirements and to learn the nuances of each school’s admission process.

• Test Preparation. Most universi-ties and colleges in the United States re-quire students applying for admission to achieve a minimum score on a college

entrance exam (SAT or ACT). Non-native English speakers are often required to demonstrate their proficiency in English by taking the TOEFL. Most master’s and doctoral degree programs require a grad-uate school entrance exam (LSAT for law school, MCAT for medical school, and GRE for most other graduate school programs). We help clients prepare for the appropri-ate entrance exams, and we register them to take tests needed for their programs.

• Application Process. Throughout the application process, we keep the cli-ents informed of progress and what they need to do next. We provide a list of doc-uments required for each application and assist them in writing, rewriting, and fi-nalizing their personal statement for each applications.

Our financial aid experts can help clients identify and apply for scholarships and various forms of finan-cial aid. They can also assist the client in filling out the application forms for schol-arships and financial aid, including writing any required essays.

• Visa Application. Upon admit-tance to one of the client’s chosen schools, a partner law firm will begin the visa ap-plication process. During the visa process, Destination USA will send the client infor-mation about the actual visa process in their embassy in their country, including the address of the US embassy, directions, fees, and times of reception. We will also facilitate scheduling a visa interview for each of our clients.

• Final Action Plan. To assist our cli-ents in making the most of their studies, we will provide each client with their per-sonalized action plan in an electronic book and an actual binder. The binder will be the client’s guide at school, personalized and customized to the client’s personali-
