OVERVIEW
CONTEXT
Changes in the roles of Professional
Accountancy Organizations through
digitalization and use of technology are
issues that should not be taken lightly
Technology is undeniably an essential part
of our life, without which even the menial
day-to-day tasks would be hard to complete
SMEs are central to private sector
development - they drive growth and
generate employment
SMPs are uniquely positioned as the natural
service providers to SMEs in supporting their
growth by offering a range of professional
services
Professional education and ethics has been
considered as an indispensable pillar for
high quality practitioners
20 vjet – Profesion i audituesit në Shqipëri
20 years – Audit profession in Albania
IEKA 4th International Conference seeks
to raise awareness on the importance of
the quality of financial reporting to both
business entities and auditors and other
stakeholders, such as government
agencies and financial institutions.
In conditions when most business
entities face multidisciplinary changes,
when technology is dramatically
changing the way business is conducted,
including the many changes we face in
our day to day activities, the role of the
professionals
needs to be redefined.
This conference will serve IEKA and its
members to learn from the international
developments and from the experiences
of other PAOs in the region and in
Europe, on how to address challenges,
how to diversify professional services,
while maintaining quality and ethics and
how to contribute in economic growth and add value to business and society.
Finally, the conference will examine ways in which the profession can contribute to the Albanian
Government’s efforts to combat informal economy, to improve economic growth and competitiveness
and explore ways that SMPs can enhance their business support to SMEs through different service
offerings and by efficiently transforming their practice models.
