speech on the “Importance of Thirumurai” at the Thirumurai recital competition organized by the Thiruvarul Thavaneri Mandram at Sivanandashram.

8th September 2014 The 127th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj was celebrated. After Brahmamuhurta prayers the Akhanda Nama Bhajan started at 10.30am followed by Paduka Puja. Lunch was served to the gathering of adults and several children.

After the evening prayer bhajans and devotional songs were sung by the youths and adults. President Swami Swayamjayananda delivered a

talk on Guru worship. After Puja, Prasad was served to the gathering of devotees.

24th September 2014 The 98th Birth Anniversary of SwamiChidanandaji Maharaj was celebrated.After Brahmamuhurta Prayers, Akhanda Nama Bhajan began at 10.30am followed by Paduka Puja at noon and lunch.

In the evening usual prayers, bhajans and devotional songs were held followed by President Swamiji’s speech. Swamiji gave a detailed account on Swami Chidananda’s life and teachings. Prasad was served.

ROLE OF DIVINE LIFE BRANCHES AND SPIRITUAL ASPIRANTS(Sri Swami Sivananda)

My message to individual spiritual aspirants and to the Branches of the Divine Life Society is as follows:

You have come to this earth to attain spiritual perfection. You have come here to attain supreme and unalloyed Bliss. The purpose of human birth is the achievement of Divine Consciousness. The Goal of life is Self-realisation. Man is not a sensual animal. Man, in his essential nature, is an ever free, ever pure, ever perfect, immortal, spiritual being. Feel that you are the Immortal Self. You are Satchidananda. Remember ‘Ajo nityah saswatoyam puranah’- you are unborn, eternal, imperishable and ancient. To live in this exalted Consciousness is to experience indescribable joy every moment of your life, to experience a limitless freedom in the Spirit. This is your birth-right. This is the aim of your life. This is the goal. To realise this through a life of truth, purity, service and devotion is the chief purpose of the Dive Life Movement.
