Defining Features The defining features of Sustainable Schools are:
Improved learning outcomes Partnerships with other groups and their community Achieving positive outcomes
How Multicultural School Gardens works Students design, plant and harvest multicultural food gardens, growing fruit, vegetables and herbs from across the world. They cook traditional dishes using the produce from their multicultural gardens, share stories and information about different cultures, and celebrate their achievements with their whole school community.
Sustainable Schools – Goals
To provide students with engaging authentic learning opportunities in which they can excel. To create a happier, healthier school environment that improves student welfare. To provide leadership in sustainability education and develop partnerships To assist school communities to operate more sustainably, To inspire all people to take action in their everyday lives to live more sustainably. To provide an holistic sustainability education program for schools that integrates existing programs.
