Are you ready to swim? We are kicking off the season with our annual Time Trials Meet on the 23rd September. All DCS swim team members are pre-registered for this event, no need to confirm your attendance. As this is a fun kick-off event there will be no ribbons or medals. We will be inviting a small number of Concordia Students to participate, however this is not an interschool competition. We are offering them the opportunity to swim and get times. Please make our Concordia guests welcome! Time Trials Details • Date: Friday 23rd September • Event Time: 4.00pm – 7.00pm • Should arrive at Sports Centre Gym to check in changed and ready: 3.45pm* • Parents and supporters to go straight to the observation area. No parents allowed poolside or in the student changing rooms. • Location: DCS pool. *Parents are responsible for ensuring swimmers transfer to the pool after school. Swim Event Details • Heat sheets will be available on the DCS Aquatics website w/c 19th September • No warm-up, first race at 4.00pm • All 8* and under swimmers are registered to swim: § 25m Freestyle § 25m Backstroke § 25m Breastroke • All 9* and over swimmers are registered to swim: § 50m Freestyle § 50m Backstroke § 50m Breastroke Due to the short nature of this event we will not be swimming Butterfly. *Age is determined by swimmers age on the 23rd September. What to bring • Towel, goggles, DCS swim suit, DCS swim hat (these are available at the uniform shop) • Healthy snacks and lots of water/drinks. There will be limited food available at the meet. Volunteers We need parental support for this event. Timers, Marshalls, Runners, Visiting School Contact. If you can lend your support please contact [email protected] We will ensure that we have enough cover to allow you to watch your child swim. As a result of this meet there will be NO Blue Fins or White Fins Training on the 23rd September. There WILL be White Fins Training on Saturday 24th September.
