En 2007 se inicia un proyecto de reforma integral del Edificio España, un emblemático inmueble de Madrid que en tiempos del franquismo fue símbolo de prosperidad. En las obras participan más de doscientos trabajadores de diversas nacionalidades, generando un insólito anecdotario e incorporando sus vivencias a la propia memoria del lugar. Una inmensa Torre de Babel sobre la que quedarán impresas las huellas de nuestra época.

The year 2007 saw the start of the renovation of Edificio España, an emblematic building that during the years of Franco's regime had been a symbol of prosperity. Over two hundred workers from a long list of countries took part in the building works, which gave rise to an unusual collection of anecdotes. The life experience of all those characters became a part of the memories contained by the building structure. A huge Tower of Babel that will bear forever the mark of our times.

"Elefante blanco" narra la historia de amistad de dos curas, Julián y Nicolás, que tras sobrevivir un intento de asesinato por parte del Ejército durante su trabajo en Centroamérica, se asientan en una barriada de Buenos Aires para desarrollar su apostolado y labor social. Allí conocen a Luciana, con quien lucharán codo a codo contra la corrupción, mal endémico de la zona. The “Villa Virgin”, a shantytown in the slums of Buenos Aires. Julian and Nicolas, two priests and long-standing friends, work tirelessly to help the local people. “Siempre dije que era la huérfana más huérfana de todas las huérfanas. Al fin y al cabo, mis padres están vivos y yo estoy aquí”. Así resume Sumi su situación cuando está con sus compañeras. Esta joven, tras ser abandonada en un tren, terminó en un centro de menores huérfanos y abandonados, en Basundhara, Orissa, en el norte de la India. Allí Sumi encontró chicas con historias distintas, pero al mismo tiempo similares a la suya. Vidas que se van entremezclando. Chicas que comparten la esperanza de madurar en mejores condiciones de las que tuvieron durante la niñez. A través de la educación aportada por las coordinadoras del centro, intentan darle un giro al destino. Sin embargo, no siempre lo que les rodea y lo que finalmente encuentran se parece a lo que ellas soñaban.

Una madre y una hija son brutalmente asesinadas en el Baltimore del siglo XIX, y el detective Emmett Fields descubre algo sorprendente: el crimen se parece enormemente a uno de ficción publicado en el periódico local, que forma parte de una colección cuyo autor es Edgar Allan Poe, entonces considerado como un paria. La policía interroga al escritor, pero en ese mismo momento se comete otro horripilante asesinato que también se inspira en una de las historias de Poe. El detective se da cuenta de que se trata de un asesino en serie que se basa en las historias de Poe para cometer sus sangrientos crímenes, y le pide ayuda al escritor para detener al culpable. Pero cuando todo apunta a que alguien muy cercano a Poe puede convertirse en la siguiente víctima, ya hay demasiado en juego y el autor decide hacer uso de sus poderes de deducción antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

In the 19th century, a serial killer begins murdering victims using methods from Edgar Allan Poe's stories. Poe himself teams up with a young Baltimore detective to get inside the murder's mind and try and stop more of his fictional works becoming grizzly fact. En plena crisis económica, una chica se encuentra una bolsa con 20 millones en billetes de las antiguas pesetas. Tras revelar su secreto a cuatro amigos, deciden convertir ese dinero en euros cambiándolo poco a poco en el Banco de España. Inesperadamente, se verán envueltos en una aventura que cambiará definitivamente sus vidas.

One day, Luz, a secretary in a construction company, finds in the ruins of a house a bag with 20 millions pesetas in the old peseta bills. She keeps it a secret, but four quite needy friends manage to find out. As they are told that pesetas can be indefinitely exchanged for Euros at the Bank of Spain, they decide to change a few bills just to see if it really works. They get easy money right away. So everybody returns to Luz hassling her with more money needs. But Luz is worried that the money could be the life savings of some old man and decides to find out who’s the owner. What none of them can imagine is that the money doesn’t belong to any old man but comes from a darker source. In fact, from the first notes they exchanged, they are being investigated.

In autumn 2004, Èric Bertran, a 14 year-old boy, creates a website inspired by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to defend the Catalan language. One night, thirty federal officers from the anti-terrorist unit in Madrid burst into his house and accuse him of cyberterrorism. His crime? Sending an email to a chain of supermarkets requesting that labelling should be in Catalan.

Tras años sin verse, un grupo de amigos se reúne en una casa en la montaña durante el fin de semana. Parece que nada haya cambiado entre ellos, pero entre risas y anécdotas se oculta un turbio episodio del pasado que les sigue atormentando. De repente, un extraño incidente altera sus planes, quedando completamente aislados y sin posibilidad de comunicación con el exterior. A group of old friends gets together for a weekend in a mountain cabin. Years have gone by and yet nothing seems to have changed between them. But lurking behind the laughter and stories is a murky episode from the past that continues to haunt them. A strange, sudden incident alters their plans, leaving them stranded and with no line of communication to the outside world. On their way for help, the group starts to disintegrate, just as a new natural order is unveiled before their astonished eyes.

El 12 de agosto de 2012 se cumplieron 100 años de la mayor catástrofe natural del siglo XX en España. Una galerna arrasó la costa vasca dejando 143 víctimas mortales. Las víctimas eran marineros de Lekeitio, de Elantxobe, de Ondarroa y principalmente de Bermeo, que dejaron 62 viudas, 205 huérfanos, 64 padres ancianos y 107 hermanos menores. La galerna se llevó sus vidas y dejó una profunda huella en los pueblos costeros. Pero a pesar de la magnitud de los hechos, los acontecimientos nunca han sido contados y han caído en el olvido para muchas generaciones. Ésta es la historia de unos hombres que navegaban en lanchas de remo y vela mientras, a no muchas millas de distancia, botaban el mayor y más moderno barco del mundo: El Titanic.

August 12, 2012 marked 100 years of the greatest natural disaster of the twentieth century in Spain. A galerna swept the Basque coast, leaving 143 mortal victims. En São Romão, viven Maria Sebastiana y Maria do Boi, personajes reales que serán interpretados por ellas mismas. Ambas damas viven momentos de transición y la película aborda este pasaje. Al inicio de la narrativa, Bastiana enfrenta la muerte de su marido, el herrero Feliciano, y pasa los días en busca de una nueva forma de adaptarse al mundo, a su rutina y a ella misma, ahora ya otra mujer, que ella debe encontrar. Así, Bastiana rescata sus recuerdos y sus fábulas más antiguos, de las cosas que le gustaba hacer cuando era niña y comienza a mirar el mundo con nuevos ojos. Producido por Javier Bardem, el documental examina la agitación política actual del norte de África y la responsabilidad de las potencias occidentales (especialmente Estados Unidos y Francia) por medio del ejercicio de la Realpolitik (política exterior basada en intereses prácticos y económicos en lugar de en principios éticos o teóricos) en sus estrategias políticas internacionales. Estas políticas han generado una gran inestabilidad que finalmente ha ocasionado gran violencia y caos. HIJOS DE LAS NUBES describes the lives of the Sahrawi people who, often forced into exile, vacillate between desperation and militancy. This documentary, which claims that the Arab Spring protests of spring 2010 began in West Sahara, also shows how economic considerations have prevented the United States and France from promoting the self-determination of the region’s indigenous people. HIJOS DE LAS NUBES also demonstrates how one individual's dedication can sometimes be a powerful weapon against hopelessness and stasis.

Jorge Loring Martínez empresario malagueño y pionero de la aviación española, promueve en 1922, junto al científico granadino Emilio Herrera y a los fabricantes alemanes del Graf Zeppelin, la creación de una línea aérea de dirigibles, la Colón Transaérea, para transportar pasajeros y mercancías entre Sevilla y Buenos Aires. Jorge Loring alcanza gran notoriedad por las innovaciones que introduce en el incipiente mundo de la aeronáutica al poner en marcha las primeras líneas comerciales, trasladar el correo en avión, fabricar el prototipo del autogiro de Juan de La Cierva, fundar escuelas de pilotos y crear aeródromos. Todas sus iniciativas fueron fundamentales para modernizar el sistema de comunicación y transporte aéreo dentro y fuera de España.

“Hoy emprendemos el regreso a la Argentina”. Tras un atentado que casi le cuesta la vida, Pablo, un médico militar español destinado en una misión internacional, regresa a casa convaleciente junto a su mujer y su hija. Al recuperar la memoria de lo ocurrido, Pablo sospecha que le están escondiendo información sobre las circunstancias del atentado y a pesar de la presión de los altos mandos, se niega a secundar la versión oficial poniendo en peligro su seguridad y la de su familia.

After an insurgent attack that nearly costs him his life, Pablo, an army doctor stationed in an international mission, is repatriated back to Spain to be with his wife and daughter, where he is given a hero’s welcome and decorated for his courage in the line of duty. Suffering from partial amnesia, Pablo only has vague memories of the events that took place that day in Iraq, but he begins to suspect that he is not being told the whole story. As he finally manages to start putting the pieces of the puzzle together, Pablo realises that he will have to make a choice; to go along with the official version of events and protect his family or uncover what really happened that day.

El triunvirato había derrocado a su poderoso padre mucho tiempo atrás, abandonándole a su suerte hasta pudrirse en el lúgubre abismo de Tártaro, un calabozo situado en las profundidades de los infiernos. Perseo no puede ignorar su verdadera vocación cuando Hades se alía con Ares, hijo divino de Zeus, para cambiar de bando y hacer un trato con Cronos para capturar a Zeus. La fuerza de los Titanes aumenta a medida que los poderes divinos de Zeus disminuyen, y el infierno se desata en la tierra. Con la ayuda de la Reina guerrera Andrómeda, del semidios hijo de Zeus Agenor, y del dios derrocado Hefesto, Perseo se adentra en una valiente y peligrosa búsqueda en los infiernos para rescatar a Zeus, derrotar a los Titanes y salvar a la humanidad.

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus-the demigod son of Zeus-is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares, switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda, Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor, and fallen god Hephaestus, Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.
