The skyscrapers of metropolitan cities symbolize endless

human desire to soar upwards. This desire was materialized

when the elevator was invented a century ago. Since then,

the elevator has become an essential part of modern society

for its convenience, particularly in vertical transportation.

In step with the rapidly changing modern lifestyle, the elevator

is adding new designs and state-of-the-art technologies,

which call for profound expertise to ensure proper safety

management.

The Korea Elevator Safety Agency(KoELSA) takes this re-

sponsibility. Its prime roles lie in inspecting and verifying the

safety of elevators and other Dangerous Machines, Instru-

ments. The agency also makes strong efforts to prevent

elevator-related accidents through various public safety ed-

ucation initiatives, promotions, R&D activities, investigation

대한민국을 대표하는 승강기 안전 전문기관으로 생활 속승강기안전 환경 조성 및 국민행복에 기여하는 한국승강기안전공단의 모습을 상징화 했다.

국민을 감싸 안은 손의 형상으로 안전을 책임지는 기관의역할을 표현했으며, 중앙의 S는 승강기의 안전(Safety)과전문성(Specialist)을 나타낸다. 컬러는 열정의 <오렌지>와 신뢰의 <블루>로 기관의 상징성을 강화했다.

KoELSA’s logo symbolizes that it is a national representative elevator safety institute that contributes to elevator safety and the happy lives of the public.

The overall shape, wrapping hands of the people represents the role of KoELSA, responsible for the safety. The ‘S’ in the center symbolically reflects the safety and expertise of elevator. Orange and Bule color help to express KoELSA’s core values which is ‘passion’ and ‘trust’.

KoELSA practices sharing through its “social responsibility” efforts.• We offer free inspection of facilities for the disadvantaged, such as people with disabilities and recovery efforts for flooded elevators.
