Icsid Endorsement
Established in 2006, hosted and promoted all out by China Industrial Design Association and Beijing
Industrial Design Center, with a full support from Beijing Municipal Science and Technology
Commission, China Red Star Design Award has become a national authorized and well-known
international design award. During the past 5 years, Red Star obtained innumerable concern from the
domestic governments, associations and all circles, enterprises and designers are actively involving.
5132 products from 1072 applicant enterprises participated in 2010 selection. The applicant
enterprises are covering 14 countries all over the world as well as 26 provinces, cities and regions
of China. The enterprises and products amount have respectively increased 5 times and 12 times
comparing with the 1st China Red Star Design Award in 2006. Famous brands such as Siemens,
Nokia, Bosch, LG, Sony Ericson, Philips, Hanvon, Hisense, Skyworth, SANY, HUAQI, ZTE etc are
active applicants.
China Red Star Design Award is endorsed by Icsid since 2009. In 2010, China Red Star Design Award
and Korea Good Design Award start sharing mutual recognition. In this sense, China Red Star Design
Award has become the symbol of Chinese design. International exhibition, yearbook publishing,
museum collecting and authorized media publicity are being provided to the awarded products. At
the mean time, a number of special-selected awarded products are going to be recommended to apply
the Reddot Award with exclusive discounted price and obtain the opportunity to join the 2011 IDA
Congress in Chinese Taipei.
Through honouring the awarded products, China Red Star Design Award encourages enterprises'
design innovation, accelerates the fusion of deisgn and manufacture, promotes the internationalization
of Chinese design, develops the transition of the economic growth and force the construction of being
an innovative country.
中国创新设计红星奖于2006年创办，由中国工业设计协会、北京工业设计促进中心全力
打造，北京市科学技术委员会鼎力支持。五年来，在各地方政府、协会和社会各界的大力支
持下，企业和设计师积极参与，红星奖已成长为国内权威、国际知名的设计大奖。2010年共
有来自国内26个省市地区和国际上14个国家1072家企业的5132件产品参评，企业和产品数量
比2006年首届分别增长了5倍和12倍，西门子、诺基亚、博世、LG、索尼爱立信、飞利浦、汉
王、海信、创维、三一重工、华旗、中兴等国内外知名企业悉数参评。
红星奖得到了国际工业设计协会联合会的认证，同时2010年与韩国好设计奖实现了标准
互认。红星奖正在成为中国设计水平的标志，获奖产品将享有国内外展览、年鉴出版、博物
馆收藏、权威媒体宣传等各种渠道的推广，独享优惠价格参评德国红点设计奖，优选获奖产
品参加国际设计联盟IDA“2011年台北世界设计大会”。
红星奖通过对优秀设计的表彰，鼓励企业设计创新，加速设计与制造的融合发展，推动
中国设计的国际化，促进经济增长方式的转变，给力创新型国家建设。

参评范围
由在中国（含港澳台地区）注册的企业设计、生产，或在中国市场（含港澳台地区）有
批量销售的产品；
产品包括：
电子信息、家用电器、新能源和环保、家居用品、服装服饰、玩具、工艺美术、产品包
装、医用器械、五金建材、工业仪器、装备制造、建筑装饰、交通工具、航空航天、展览展
示、公共设施等；
报送的产品应为2009年1月1日—2011年12月31日期间已经上市，或者已经进入量产
的产品；
同一件产品只能由一家单位或个人进行申报；
每一位参评者可以申报多件产品参评；
历届中国创新设计红星奖获奖产品不可重复参评。
QUALIFIED PRODUCT
Products which are designed or manufactured by enterprises registered in China (including Hong
Kong, Macau and Taiwan) or those that are batch sold in China (including Hong Kong, Macau and
Taiwan).
Categories:
Communication Tools, Computer Equipment, Home Living, Entertainment, Leisure & Recreation,
Medical & Scientific, Packing, Transportation, Fashion & Accessories, etc .
The launch time of the product should be from 1st January, 2009 to 31st December, 2011.
One product must be submitted by one enterprise or designer.
Each applicant can register a number of products.
The product which has won a prize in one of past China Red Star Design Awards is not qualified for
entry.

本评奖活动采用在线报名的形式，请参评者登陆以下网址进行报名

办公室负责对在线提交的信息进行参评资格审查，资格审查通过后, 参评者需在
指定日期前邮寄以下资料至办公室：
1、两份报名表并加盖单位公章或参评个人签字。
2、3张产品照片(6寸：15.2×10.2cm)。
3、光盘：光盘刻录内容①产品介绍PPT ②300像素产品大图片。
注：2011红星奖获奖证书和年鉴将体现产品制造企业和设计单位双方的信息，请
申报单位完整填写。
参评者需在规定日期内将进入终评的产品运送到指定的评审现场。
本届评奖免收报名费和评审费（可能发生的产品运输和保险费用由参评者自行
承担）。

China Red Star Design Award Office will examine the applicant’s qualification through
the submitted information. Once passing the examination, the applicant should post data
as below to China Red Star Design Award Office before the designated date.
1.Two application forms with the enterprise’s common seal or designer’s signature
2.3 photos of the product(6 inches: 15.2X10.2cm)
3.CD including:introduction PPT of the product & Product images (300 dpi each).
Note: The 2011 China Red Star Design Award Certification and yearbook will present
the information of both enterprise and design company. Please fill in the information
completely.
Once passing the first screening, applicant needs to transport the entry product to the
venue of second screening before the designated deadline.
2011 China Red Star Design Award is free of charge of application and screening. (The
possible incurring transportation and insurance will be paid by the applicants)

SCREENING CRITERIA
it stresses on the integration of technology and art,
effectively makes use of new technology, material and
craft; possesses unique design concept, provides new
problem-resolving methods, directs the trend of product
development and better people’s mode of living and
production.
it is human oriented, possesses rational function and
structure, and shows good performances of ergonomics,
safety and duration.
it meets market demands, owns a good value for the
price, helps to increase the enterprise’s income and
enhance its brand value.
it considers green, energy saving, recycling as well
as application of new energy technologies, including
energy saving technology of industry, energy saving
technology of transportation, emerging environmental
protection industry, etc.
it makes good use of crafts and materials, and its quality
meets the related domestic and foreign standards; it is
suitable for mass production.
it owns special style and harmonious appearance and
color.
All applicants are considered to have accepted the above criteria.
突出科技与艺术的结合，有效使用新技术、新材料、新工艺，创新点突出；设计
概念独特新颖，提供新的问题解决方案，引领未来产品发展趋势改善人民的生产
生活方式；
功能结构合理，以人为本，考虑人机工程关系，安全耐用；
适合市场需求，具备较高的性价比，能够提升产品品牌价值；获得规模化效益或
具有良好的获益前景；
考虑新能源技术的应用，如：工业节能技术、交通节能技术、新兴环保产业等；

所有参评者均被视为接受本评审标准和评审规则。

Screening Procedure
Jury
According to the screening criteria, jurors select the products by examining
their submitted data.
Jurors score on the products which have passed the first screening. The
awarded products are allowed to use the China Red Star Design Award logo in
the product promotion activities after signing the logo commitment letter.

design, economy and media areas.
严格规范的评审程序STRICT AND IMPARTIAL JUDGING PROCEDURE
奖项召回
当遇到以下情况时，中国创新设计红星奖委员会有权收回奖项标志的使用权和已颁发的奖品。
（一）获奖产品由于功能性缺陷造成了重大社会危害。
（二）正式确认获奖产品侵犯了其他产品的设计权或其他知识产权。
（三）设计者或生产者在未通知主办者的情况下对获奖产品进行重大修改, 并继续在该产
品上使用获奖标志或利用其进行宣传。
RECALLING OF PRIZES
China Red Star Design Award Committee is entitled to recall the prize and the right of using the “Red
Star” logo from the awarded enterprise or individual in the following situations.
(1) The awarded product causes damages to the society due to its functional defects.
(2) The awarded product is confirmed to have violated another product’s intellectual property rights.
(3) The applicant goes on publicizing the awarded product with “Red Star” logo after it has modified
the product without informing China Red Star Design Award Committee of the change.

参评产品不得存在任何知识产权纠纷或争议, 参评者自行负责一切关于其
参评产品的知识产权保护问题, 中国创新设计红星奖委员会对此不承担任

运输。
参评者应确保已经为参评产品购买了相关的保险，特别是针对盗窃、火

中国创新设计红星奖委员会有权使用参评者的信息进行与评奖活动有关的
宣传活动，例如发布获奖产品信息、出版年鉴等。当参评者要求公开、修
改或延期使用其提交的信息时，办公室经过身份核实后给予答复。
若日期有变动, 办公室将在本奖项网站的"最新消息"中公布,请参评者及时关

DISCLAIMER
The prize will be granted to the applicant only.
The entry product must have no intellectual property rights disputes
or lawsuits. The applicants should be responsible for their products’
intellectual property rights protecting issues, and China Red Star Design
Award Committee doesn’t assume any responsibilities for these issues.
Applicants should transport their products for the screening according to
the notices sent by China Red Star Design Award Committee.
When joining China Red Star Design Award Selection, applicants must
have bought the related insurances for their entry products especially
burglary insurance, fire insurance, breakdown insurance etc.
China Red Star Design Award Office will strictly and effectively protect
the data submitted by applicants, and China Red Star Design Award
Committee is entitled to publish and utilize the information to organize
activities relating to the award such as the publishing of yearbook etc.
China Red Star Design Award Office will publicize the renewed information about the award on its website.
