Round numbers to estimate the sum of 17 +43 +13 +32.

Step 1 Round each addend to the nearest ten.

17 rounds to 20.

43 rounds to 40.

32 rounds to 30.

Step 2 Add the rounded numbers. 20 +40 +10 +30 =100

Solution:17 +43 +13 +32 is about 100.
