esde pequeña, mis padres fueron los mentores en la for-mación de mi carácter como mujer y ser humano. Ellos me inculcaron que lo más importante era contribuir para hacer la diferencia sin comprometer mis convicciones. Tener am-biciones, integridad, y asegurarme de no perder mi tiempo

en cosas vanas. Ellos siempre me enfatizaron, “no hagas por hacer, perderás tu tiempo y ¡el tiempo es oro! Si puedes ayudar o tocar la vida de una sola persona a través de tu labor, habrás logrado la máxima satisfacción y paga que la vida te pueda dar!”

Yo nací para ser lo que soy, y soy lo que nací para ser. Desde niña me encantaba actuar, cantar, declamar, y modelar, estar frente a las cámaras y rodeada de gente. Desde muy pequeña me envolví en el refinamiento, los reinados de belleza y el modelaje. Aprendí todo sobre la proyección escénica, pero también sobre el significado de mantener una reputación intachable, de ser perseverante, de crear un carácter formal. Entrené con los mejores representantes aprendiendo la técnica “elite” del refinamiento y modelaje para pasarela internacional– una técnica con demandas aun mayores en cuanto a la imagen personal se refiere. Realicé labores profe-sionales con los mas renombrados diseñadores y casas de moda, como Oscar De La Renta, Carlota Alfaro, Edgardo Bonilla, James De Colon, Enzo, Balenciaga, Dior, Carlos Alberto, Lord & Taylor y Fernando Pena.

ince I was a kid, my parents were mentors in forming my character as a woman and as a human being. They instilled me that the most important thing was to con-tribute in making a difference without compromising my beliefs. They taught me to make sure not to waste my

time in futile things, to have ambitions and integrity. They always stressed on me to, “not do it just because, it will be a waste of your time and time is gold! If you can help or touch the life of one person with your work, you’ve achieved the highest satis-faction and pay that life can give! “

I was born to be what I am, and I am what I was born to be. I loved to act, sing, declaim, modeling; and to be in front of the cameras and surrounded by people since I was a little girl. From a very young age I became involved with the refinement, the beauty contests and modeling. I learned all about scenic projec-tion, but also the meaning of maintaining an untarnished reputa-tion, to be persistent, to create a formal moral character. I have trained with the best representatives to learn the “elite” art of refinement and modeling for international runways – a technique with even greater demands in terms of personal image. Some of my professional work includes the most renowned designers and fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, Carlota Alfaro, Edgardo Bonilla, James De Colon, Enzo, Balenciaga, Dior, Car-los Alberto, Lord & Taylor and Fernando Pena.

The model, modeling and motivating teacher, Elizabeth Hernandez, recognized in the socio-cultural circles of the Hispanic community, tells her journey, the professional experiences and also shared with readers of GUEST maga-zine the testimony of her struggle to reach the realization of his dreams.

Establecí mi propia academia de refinamiento y modelaje, EH Modeling Academy, contando con una vasta experiencia, certificaciones y premios en este campo, con una certificación como Consejera y Coordinadora Profe-sional de eventos especiales, privados, y corporativos en promoción y etiqueta de presentación, y con la prepara-ción en mercadeo y manejo empresarial. Como Oradora Motivacional creé los seminarios motivacionales “MUJER TU PUEDES – de limones, limonada!”. Simultáneamente, volví a las competencias de reinados de belleza a nivel estatal y nacional, teniendo el honor de ser coronada Mrs. Puerto Rico United States, y desarrollándome como Juez y Coordinadora de concursos de belleza a nivel regional, nacional e internacional.

Actualmente soy la Presentadora del show de tele-visión “ELIZABETH EN TU AGENDA”. El mismo es una producción de Jazz Hamilton para HME Resources. Reconociendo la importancia de aportar de una forma positiva y constructiva a nuestra comunidad, nos di-mos a la tarea de crear una programación televisiva que represente positivamente el calibre y colorido de nuestra raza para el disfrute de toda la familia. “ELIZABETH EN TU AGENDA” se transmite por Visión TV Canal 198 Brighthouse y por Telemundo Orlando.

En mis talleres de modelaje y motivación, he tenido la dicha de trabajar con cientos de niñas, adolescentes, y mujeres adultas tocando y transformando sus vidas a través de nuestros seminarios “MUJER TU PUEDES – de limones, limonada!”. Enfoco mi objetivo en el de-sarrollo del ser humano de cuerpo, alma, y espíritu! Mi compromiso con nuestro pueblo, va mas allá que el de-sarrollar modelos de mis clientas. Mi compromiso no es solo el enseñarles la técnica correcta del modelaje, sino el hacerles ver este campo del desarrollo personal y modelaje desde un punto de vista mas real, mas hu-mano! Mi meta es enseñar que la virtud de ser modelo no se mide solamente en pasarela, sino que comienza con la aportación personal a nuestra comunidad. Les enseño que el reto no es ser Modelo de Pasarela, sino es ser Modelo de Mujer.

Las reglas básicas que enfatizo en mis talleres motiva-cionales son: Para alcanzar tus metas y superarte, co-mienza reconociendo que naciste con un propósito en tu vida y es tu responsabilidad identificar ese propósito – ten mucha fe en Dios y en tus habilidades. Recuerda que nada es imposible si tan solo tenemos fe. Edúcate! Edúcate académicamente—haz una lista de los recur-sos académicos en los cuales debes integrarte para así prepararte intelectualmente para tu nueva vida. Aprende la forma correcta de pulir tu apariencia y de-sarrollar ese estilo propio que te va a distinguir en tu entrada y salida a cualquier lugar. Mucha disciplina con el manejo de tu tiempo – aprende a mantener un balance en las responsabilidades diarias que debe-mos asumir y saber que cuando nos dedicamos con el corazón, siempre se hace tiempo para todo! Sonríe y practica la virtud de “dar gracias” por todo y en todo…en las buenas y en las malas, cambia tu pensamiento negativo por uno positivo y repite constantemente: “Yo si puedo!”

I established my own academy of refinement and modeling, EH Modeling Academy, with a wealth of experience, certifications and awards in this field, with certification as a Professional Counselor and Coordinator of special events, private and corporate promotions and presentation etiquette, and with formal education in marketing and business manage-ment. As a motivational speaker, I created motiva-tional seminars “WOMEN, YOU CAN – from lemons, lemonade.” Simultaneously, I returned to the beauty contests at state and national levels, being honored with the title of Mrs. Puerto Rico United States, and later on, became a judge and coordinator of beauty contests at regional, national and international levels.

I am currently the Hostess of the television show “ELIZABETH EN TU AGENDA” (ELIZABETH IN YOUR PLANNER). It is produced by Hamilton Jazz for EHR Resources. Realizing the importance of contributing in a positive and constructive manner to our community, we got into the task of creating a television program that can be enjoyed by the whole family, by representing the caliber and color of our race in a positive way. “ELIZABETH IN YOUR PLANNER” airs on Vision TV Channel 198 on Brighthouse and Telemundo Orlando.

In my modeling and motivational workshops, I have had the joy of working with hundreds of girls, ado-lescents and adult women playing and transforming their lives through our seminars “WOMEN, YOU CAN – from lemons, lemonade.” My goal is to focus on the development of the human body, soul and spirit! My commitment to our people goes beyond developing models out of my clients. My commitment is not just teaching the right modeling technique, but to make them see the personal development fiend in a more real and human point of view! My goal is to teach that the virtue of being a model is not measured only in runways, but begins with personal contribution to our community. We teach that the challenge is not to be a Runway Model but it is to be Model Women.

The basic rules that I emphasize in my motivational workshop are: To achieve and exceed your goals, start recognizing that you were born with a purpose in your life and it is your responsibility to identify that purpose - have great faith in God and your abilities. Remember that nothing is impossible if only we have faith. Get Educated! Educate yourself academically; make a list of academic resources in which you should be integrated so that you can get prepared intellectually for your new life. Learn the proper way to polish your appearance and develop your own style that will distinguish when you walk in or leave anywhere you go. Lots of discipline when managing your time - learn to maintain a balance in the daily responsibilities that we must assume and know that when we are committed in your heart, we will always find time for everything! Smile and practice the virtue of “thanking” for and in everything ... in good and bad, change your negative thoughts for a positive one, and constantly repeat to yourself: “I will, because I can!”

No cambiaría absolutamente nada de la vida que he vivido – pues ha sido la plataforma de formación para mi crecimiento y éxito como ser humano.

Para mi futuro, tengo muchísimas metas pautadas y se que voy a lograr cada una de ellas. Soy una mujer muy segura de mi misma. El éxito que he logrado en mi car-rera ha sido a base de gran sacrificio personal, y de una inversión de tiempo y dinero para educarme y prepararme profesionalmente. Mucha gente cree que el éxito se obtiene de un día para otro y no es así. Hay que tener convicción y disciplina. Yo he pagado el precio y lo debo a que creo total-mente en mis habilidades y talentos. Soy la mejor en lo que hago, respeto mi trabajo, y demando mucho de mí porque se que represento a mi comunidad hispana.

When you perform the function you were born to do... your energy is that All-mighty Being, who arranges your life so that all the chips needed to be played, will fall into place at the exact moment, and at the exact time. Your motivation is the defiance, your adrenaline is the challenge, and your inspiration is the person who contributed to shape your character at a very ear-ly age. Your goals become your way of life, and when you put your life and your talents in God’s hands, and you do your job of staying disciplined, to struggle, to have ambitions and short/long term goals, to become a person whose life and career serves as an inspiration and an example for others, the Divine Law will make your dreams come true, because God has planned your life for you. I would not change anything in the life I’ve lived - as it has been the training platform for my growth and success as a human being.

For my future, I have plenty of goals scheduled and I will achieve each one of them. I am a very confident woman. The success I have achieved in my career has been based on great personal sacrifice, and an investment of time and money to educate and prepare myself professionally. Lots of people might think that success happens overnight, and this is not true. We must have conviction and discipline. I’ve paid the price and I believe it is due completely because of my abili-ties and talents. I’m the best at what I do; I respect my work, and demand a lot from me because I represent my Hispanic community. I am very honored to have received the awards that I have; however, the most valuable for me is to be professionally recognized as a “model woman”.

Love came into my life and came to complete me as a woman, as a human being, as a friend, a lover, a wife, a daughter and a part-ner in the profession. The story of my romance with the love of my life, the incredible professional artist, director and musical arranger, Jazz Hamilton.
