Facing a new situation面临新的情况

Colossians 歌罗西书 1:1-171 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,2 To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father. 3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 1 奉 神 旨 意 ， 作 基 督 耶 稣 使 徒 的 保 罗 和 兄 弟 提 摩 太 2 写 信 给 歌 罗 西 的 圣 徒 ， 在 基 督 里 有 忠 心 的 弟 兄 。 愿 恩 惠 、 平 安 从 神 我 们 的 父 归 与 你 们 ！ 3 我 们 感 谢 神 、 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 父 ， 常 常 为 你 们 祷 告 ；

4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 4 因 听 见 你 们 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 的 信 心 , 并 向 众 圣 徒 的 爱 心 ,5 是 为 那 给 你 们 存 在 天 上 的 盼 望 ; 这 盼 望 就 是 你 们 从 前 在 福 音 真 理 的 道 上 所 听 见 的 .6 这 福 音 传 到 你 们 那 里 ,也 传 到 普 天 之 下 , 并 且 结 果 , 增 长 , 如 同 在 你 们 中 间 , 自 从 你 们 听 见 福 音 , 真 知 道 神 恩 惠 的 日 子 一 样 .

7 You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant,[c] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[d] behalf, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 7 正 如 你 们 从 我 们 所 亲 爱 、 一 同 作 仆 人 的 以 巴 弗 所 学 的 。 他 为 我 们 作 了 基 督 忠 心 的 执 事 ， 8 也 把 你 们 因 圣 灵 所 存 的 爱 心 告 诉 了 我 们 。 9 因 此 ， 我 们 自 从 听 见 的 日 子 ， 也 就 为 你 们 不 住 的 祷 告 祈 求 ， 愿 你 们 在 一 切 属 灵 的 智 慧 悟 性 上 ， 满 心 知 道 神 的 旨 意 ； 10 好 叫 你 们 行 事 为 人 对 得 起 主 ， 凡 事 蒙 他 喜 悦 ， 在 一 切 善 事 上 结 果 子 ， 渐 渐 的 多 知 道 神 ； 11 照 他 荣 耀 的 权 能 ， 得 以 在 各 样 的 力 上 加 力 ， 好 叫 你 们 凡 事 欢 欢 喜 喜 的 忍 耐 宽 容 ；

12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 12 又 感 谢 父 ， 叫 我 们 能 与 众 圣 徒 在 光 明 中 同 得 基 业 。 13 他 救 了 我 们 脱 离 黑 暗 的 权 势 ， 把 我 们 迁 到 他 爱 子 的 国 里 ；14 我 们 在 爱 子 里 得 蒙 救 赎 ， 罪 过 得 以 赦 免 。 15 爱 子 是 那 不 能 看 见 之 神 的 像 ， 是 首 生 的 ， 在 一 切 被 造 的 以 先 。 16 因 为 万 有 都 是 靠 他 造 的 ， 无 论 是 天 上 的 ， 地 上 的 ； 能 看 见 的 ， 不 能 看 见 的 ； 或 是 有 位 的 ， 主 治 的 ， 执 政 的 ， 掌 权 的 ； 一 概 都 是 藉 着 他 造 的 ， 又 是 为 他 造 的 。 17 他 在 万 有 之 先 ； 万 有 也 靠 他 而 立 。

Apostle Paul was in new situation. 使徒保罗在新的形势下The letter to the Colossians was written when Paul was in prison probably in Rome for 2 years (Acts 28). He had never been to Colossae. He heard all about the good things taken place in that city through the faithful brother Epahras who came from Colossae to minister to him. This letter was written to encourage and to correct possible wrong teachings which were crippling into Colossian fellowship.歌罗西书的成书日期，是保罗在罗马 2 年坐监狱里的时候 ( 徒 28) 。他从来没有到过歌罗西。他通过来自歌罗西忠心事奉的兄弟以巴弗，听说有关那里所有美好事情的发生。写这封信的目的是鼓励和纠正可能出现错误的教导，这些教导会使到歌罗西的信徒堕落。

Facing a new situation in a new year, let us:在新的一年面临新的情况，让我们：1. Thanking God in our prayer

在我们的祷告里感谢上帝 (vs 3-6节 )2. Praying for the saints 为众圣徒祷告 (vs 7-

11 节 )3. Holding fast the truth-Christ is the centre of our

lives 坚守这真理 - 基督是我们生命的中心 (vs 15-16 节 )

1. Thanking God 感谢上帝 (v3 节 )

v3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you 我 们 感 谢 神 , 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 父 , 常 常 为 你 们 祷告4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people听 见 你 们 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 的 信 心 , 并 向 众 圣 徒 的 爱 心

• We like to focus on the negative aspects of life. Hence we have lots of complaints and little to thank God and others for the good things we have received. 我们喜欢把重点放在负面的生活上。因此，我们对上帝有很多的投诉，却很少的感恩，尽管有许多好的事情发生的身边。

• Paul was in prison, yet he could thank God for the growing faith in the Colossian Christians & their love for fellow Christians. 保罗在监狱里，但他仍感谢上帝，因为歌罗西信徒对耶稣的信心不断增长，他们对其他信徒的爱心。

• He chose to look beyond his own personal safety & comfort. 他选择了不注视他的自身安全和舒适。

2. Praying for the saints 为众圣徒祷告“we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding” 我 们 自 从 听 见 的 日 子 , 也 就 为 你 们 不 住 的 祷 告 祈 求 , 愿 你 们 在 一 切 属 灵 的 智 慧 悟 性 上 , 满 心 知 道 神 的 旨 意 (V9 节 )so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way 好 叫 你 们 行 事 为 人 对 得 起 主 , 凡 事 蒙 他 喜 悦

What is the most important thing in life?在生活中最重要的事情是什么？Notice that Apostle Paul didn’t ask for material blessings, he was asking for spiritual understanding & blessings. Jesus said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.” 请注意，使徒保罗并没有要求物质上的祝福，他想要的是信徒在属灵知识上和祝福上的长进。耶稣说：“你们要先求上帝的国。”When we seek for spiritual blessings, God will bless us with His material blessings.当我们寻求属灵的祝福的时候，上帝会赐予我们所需要的来祝福我们。

At the start of the year, let us在今年年初，让我们• Asked God to fill us with His knowledge, His

wisdom and understanding 愿 你 们 在 一 切 属 灵 的 智 慧 悟 性 上 , 满 心 知 道 神 的 旨 意• Ask God to strengthen us 祈求上帝让我们更坚强

• Pray, pray ,pray 祷告，祷告，再祷告• Please pray for me, my family, Miu and the

leadership of the church. 请为我 , 我的家人，梁志成弟兄和教会的领袖们祷告。

At the start of the year, let us put在今年年初，让我们把Christ-the centre of our lives (v 15-16)以基督为我们生活的中心 (15-16 节 )15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 15 爱 子 是 那 不 能 看 见 之 神 的 像 ， 是 首 生 的 ， 在 一 切 被 造 的 以 先 。 16 因 为 万 有 都 是 靠 他 造 的 ， 无 论 是 天 上 的 ， 地 上 的 ； 能 看 见 的 ， 不 能 看 见 的 ； 或 是 有 位 的 ， 主 治 的 ， 执 政 的 ， 掌 权 的 ； 一 概 都 是 藉 着 他 造 的 ， 又 是 为 他 造 的

• All things were created through Him & for Him.一 概 都 是 藉 着 他 造 的 ， 又 是 为 他 造 的 • In other words, He is the centre of everything.换句话说，他是一切万有的中心• He is the source of our life. We can’t do without

Him. He is truly God and Man. 他是我们生命的源泉。我们不能没有他。他是真正的上帝和人。

The 1st century Colossian Christians were attacked by an insipient gnostic teaching which said that Jesus was just a spiritual agent of God. He brought us the knowledge (gnosis) of how to get back to God. In other words, Jesus was not God. 第一世纪歌罗西的基督徒被异端诺斯底误导，这异端提倡耶稣只是一个上帝的代言人。他只给我们知道 ( 属灵的知识 ) 怎样才能回到上帝的身边。换句话说，耶稣不是上帝。

The fervent Colossian Christians were in danger being led away from the truth that Jesus is the Creator of the universe, yet He is God’s incarnation. He is both God and Man. 热心的歌罗西基督徒被误导并离开真理，离开宇宙的创造者耶稣，离开神道成肉身的耶稣。他是神，又是人。

Today we also can be misled by heresies (false teachings) and lose our salvation.今天，我们也可能被异端邪说误导 ( 错误的教导 ) ，使我们失去救恩。
