Program PlanYour Program Plan determines your Scout retention and will drive your

recruitment!

• Have you surveyed your families and Scouts to determine what they want out of your Scouting program?

If you can show your families an exciting program, on paper, that both they and their Scouts will enjoy will drive the success of your program and popcorn sale.

On average, units sell 7-9 total days out of their 30 day sale period and by providing them a program plan and budget “showing them” what their 7-9 day investment will bring to the unit selling popcorn is KEY to getting their buy in. Make your sale a unit activity by requiring full participating by doing Show and Sell booths or canvas the neighborhoods together doing Show and Deliver. Incorporate a “mystery house” into your unit sale to energize and incentivize your Scouts participation or celebrate your successes/failures as a unit with pizza party or ice cream social. Use the opportunities as teachable moments.
