Holi Celebration 2013 Holi is the most colorful festival celebrated by the followers of Vedic Religion. Holi comes in the month of Falgun, the important month for farmers when seeds sprout, flowers bloom and Indian Continent rises from winter’s slumber. Holi is celebrated every year to remind people that those who love GOD shall be saved and those who torture the devotee of GOD shall be reduced to ashes as the mythical character Holika.
President and his wife performed Puja directed by Samaj member priest in front of “Holi”. Many of the members offered coconuts to Holi fire. In spite of very cold weather, about four hundred members attended the auspicious Holi event.
This year Gujarati Samaj celebrated Holi with playing in colors reminding the colors played by “LORD KRISHNA” in “Vrindavan”. Little children, Teen youths, matured grownups and seniors all were in heavenly mood throwing dry multi-colors on each other and enjoying the colorful event.
Children also enjoyed “Egg Hunting” where colorful eggs were hidden in outward premises of Gujarati Samaj green grass. Three prizes of colorful basket of gift were awarded to the three winners.
After the Holi ceremony, every one enjoyed very tasty Prasad. All the dedicated and talented volunteers work hard to make this program enjoyable and successful.

This year Gujarati Samaj celebrated Holi with playing in colors reminding the colors played by “LORD KRISHNA” in “Vrindavan”. Little children, Teen youths, matured grownups and seniors all were in heavenly mood throwing dry multi-colors on each other and enjoying the colorful event.
Children also enjoyed “Egg Hunting” where colorful eggs were hidden in outward premises of Gujarati Samaj green grass. Three prizes of colorful basket of gift were awarded to the three winners.
After the Holi ceremony, every one enjoyed very tasty Prasad. All the dedicated and talented volunteers work hard to make this program enjoyable and successful.

Holi Celebration 2013 Holi is the most colorful festival celebrated by the followers of Vedic Religion. Holi comes in the month of Falgun, the important month for farmers when seeds sprout, flowers bloom and Indian Continent rises from winter’s slumber. Holi is celebrated every year to remind people that those who love GOD shall be saved and those who torture the devotee of GOD shall be reduced to ashes as the mythical character Holika.
President and his wife performed Puja directed by Samaj member priest in front of “Holi”. Many of the members offered coconuts to Holi fire. In spite of very cold weather, about four hundred members attended the auspicious Holi event.
