1.Why did the writer’s younger brother fall into the sea?
An enormous wave washed him into the sea.

The wind and waves took it there.
3. Why did the writer tie himself to a barrel?
Heavier objects went down into the whirlpool more quickly than the smaller, light ones. The barrel was lighter.

He was terrified.

Because his hair was white, not black.

A Great Explorer Columbus is an Italian who is a famous as a great explorer. It’s said that he set sail in search of Africa where there were filled with diamonds and gold. After he had prepared the things which are necessary in the sailing, he started a journey which is full of surprises, exciting and frightening. But it was a pity that he didn’t made his dream come true.
Eventually he discovered is now known as America. It’s funny that he didn’t thought it was a new land until he died.
In a word, Columbus is a great explorer , maybe we won’t know America without his discovery.
A Great Explorer Columbus, an Italian, is a famous as a great explorer.
It’s said that he wanted to set sail to a new land in search of Asia where there were diamonds and gold. With everything well-prepared, he started a journey in which he experienced both exciting and frightening things. He believed that the earth is round, for which he didn’t made his dream come true. In fact the new land he discovered is now known as Americas. Yet he didn’t think so until he died.
In a word, Columbus is a great explorer , maybe we won’t know America without his discovery.
The Sea Explorer— Columbus Columbus was one of the most famous explorers. He was born in Italy, which is located near the Atlantic Ocean. He was outstanding and believed that the earth is round.
In 1492, funded by the Spanish Emperor, he led 3 ships and after 70 days’ hard experiences, he arrived in a new continent, which is now known as Americas. Now, Columbus is said to be the first person to find the Americas. But at that time, he even thought the continent he reached was India. So he named the people there “Indians”.
In some way, Columbus brought the local people misfortune, because they had to work hard for the Europeans. But he is still a great explorer who made the Americas known to the world.
