Hardware: HP INTIGRITY RX6600, RX2660, Blade ProLient 860c, Blade 460 G6, DL 580/980 G7, MSL 8096/4048, HP EVA 4400/6400D. Roles & Responsibilities: Managing a team of 5 HP UNIX/LINUX recourses of DC as well as DR site Managed the HP UNIX and Red Hat Enterprise LINUX servers assigned to designated teams including the shared and dedicated servers. These are: LVM (Logical Volume Manager): Extend the size of LVM, Reduce the size of LVM File System Management-Managing partition, Making File System, and Format the file system using Vxfs. MC Service Guard Cluster Administration. Exporting/Importing volume group from one node to other and adding new disks to volume group, replacing failed devices. User and password administration, OS Hardening and working with security related settings. Working with ACLs, and other file and directory level security settings. Performance Monitoring using tool and command like iostat, vmstat, sar and top etc. Create LVM structures based on requirement provided by application owner. Backup: Ignite backup, filesystems backup and online database backup using HP Data Protector. Tune Kernel parameters for recommended value. Performed routine audits for checking server health and security, apart from routine maintenance tasks such as software checking and updating. Maintained documentation for current hardware and software configurations for DC and DR site. Coordinating with vendors, customer and application team for any hardware/OS and infra related issue. Acknowledged as well as resolved the issues reported through tickets, alerts and E-Mails within the defined SLA (Service Level Agreement) Replacing Normal & Root disk in PARISC & integrity servers, system board, Addition/Removal of Memory Modules, cell boards etc. from partitioned systems in co-ordination with HPCE. Mirroring root disk of Itanium & PA-RISC server.
