-'-'-'-'--'-'-' At certain times, various chemicals were used in certain parts of Vietnam. For example, "ill· secticides" were sprayed to control insects. "Herbicides" or "defoliants" were used to mak«' leaves drop from bushes and trees or to kill grass or weeds. Military personnel could have come into contact with these chemicals in several different ways.

We would like to learn as much as possible about whether you may have been in an area where chemicals were used. To do this, we need your permission to send your military service nuntl'r and social security number to a special government task force which may be able to get this information from records kept by the militsry.
