You may have seen Brian Shaffer in the Liberty dining hall or in the café and 

not known who he is. He’s one of     Liberty’s newest staff members, his  tle 

is Food Service Manager, and you’ll enjoy ge ng to know him and his  fami-

ly. 

The Shaffers moved here from Orlando, Florida (and yes! they loved it there). 

Brian originally grew up in Ohio then moved to Pennsylvania where he 

a ended Bap st Bible College. He met his wife Julie at the college where she 

was studying women’s’ ministries. In June of 1994 they were married. With   

a glowing smile on his face, Brian says Julie is a “huge blessing” to him.  

Brian and Julie have three wonderful sons: Seth -16; Isaac -13; and Elisha -11 years old. Brian feels it has been a 

wonderful blessing for Julie to be able to homeschool the boys. The whole family enjoys the outdoors, camping   

and the parks together.  They are looking forward to exploring our area as they all love history. They are also               

apprecia ng the change of seasons.  

While living the past twenty years in Orlando, Brian worked five years as Retail Director at the Holy Land               

Experience. He worked the next ten years as Event Coordinator and Director of Banquets and Conferences for  

Wycliffe Bible Translators. Both jobs were enormously interes ng and challenging. Ready for a change, Brian 

moved here and is now excited to be at Liberty!  

Brian has a true servant’s heart and says he looks for opportuni es to be used by the Lord. He loves mee ng      

people and ge ng to know them. He teaches leadership and enjoys training others to help people.  Brian says      

he loves the “organized chaos” of things and that his wife Julie is always a “tremendous support” for him. Watch 

for Brian and his family around Liberty and stop to say “hello”, introduce yourself and get to know them. We’re
