Right to bear arms.Jimmy has the right to own a weapon for protection.

Jimmy and his friends has the freedom of speech, religion, and press.

The reporter has the freedom of press to ask Sheen questions.

The Neutron’s have the right to religion and can celebrate Christmas. The reporter has the

freedom of speech to say what he wants on his show.

Amendment 18 and 21Amendment 18 – Prohibition of liquor/ alcohol. This means no more making or selling alcohol in the U.S.A .

Amendment 21- Repeal of Amendment 18. This means that it took away Amendment 18. So people could make and sell alcohol again.

Quartering of SoldiersThe Neutron family has the right to not provide aliens or soliders with a home unless they want to.

Search and arrestThe Neutron family has the right to protect their belongings from unreasonable searches and seizures given by the police.

Officer Tubbs doesn’t have the right to go and search the Neutron’s house.

Amendment 5Rights in Criminal Cases

When the citizens of Retroville are accused of crimes, they can’t be charged again for the same crime. They also can’t be forced to testify against themselves. Also, they can only be put in jail or lose their house thorough correct legal actions.

Jimmy can’t be tried for the same, exact case twice; this is called double jeopardy.

Women’s SuffrageNeither the federal government or the states can deny people of voting because of their gender. This amendment guarantees the right of women to vote.

Jimmy’s mom has the right to vote!

Amendment 15 and 12 Amendment 15-Voting Rights

States can not deny anyone the right to vote because of the person’s race or color or because the person used to be a slave.

Amendment 12- Presidential ElectionsThis amendment allows the same political party to win the elections for both president and vice president

18- Year- Old SuffrageThe federal government and the states cannot deny citizens who are 18 years and older the right to vote.

Judy and Hugh Neutron are old enough to vote. They are both older then 18.

End of SlaveryIn the United States, no person can be kept as a slave.

The princess can not keep Jimmy as a slave.

Amendments 20 and 22Amendment 20- This amendment changes the

dates when the elected officials began serving their terms. It also deals with special situations, like if the president dies, the vice president will become president.

Amendment 22- Presidents can’t serve more then two full terms in office.

Amendment 20- Bolbi Stroganovsky celebrates the new election on different days, every four years.

Amendment 22- Professor Sheen can’t be president for more then two full terms.

Amendment 6

Right to a Fair Trial Citizens of Retroville, who are accused of a crime have the right to a fair trial.

Sheen got arrested for committing a crime of not wearing any pants. He demands a fair trial.

Rights in Civil CasesCitizens of Retroville have the right to demand a jury trial when in a civil case.

When Jimmy, Goddard, Carl, Hugh, Judy or Cindy are involved in a civil case, they have the right to a jury trial.

Bail, Fines and PunishmentsBail and fines must be set by the judge and they must be reasonable. Punishments for crimes can not be cruel and unusual.

Although Sheen lost his case for not wearing pants, his punishment is cruel and unusual, which is illegal.

Lawsuits Against StatesPeople can not sue a different state in federal court if they are a citizen of a different state, or if they are from a foreign country.

Jimmy sued Michigan for stealing Goddard, although since he lives in Retroville this is illegal, so Jimmy went to jail.

Rights Retained by the PeopleThe government must respect all the rights of Americans, including rights that are not listed in the Constitution.

Jimmy has the right to privacy in his lab, even though it is not said in the constitution

States RightsThe states have certain rights that the federal government can not take away.

Income TaxesThe government can collect taxes on people’s houses without appointment of the states.

If the Neutrons want to live in their house, they have to pay taxes.

Washington D.C. SuffrageThis amendment gives Washington D.C. the right to vote. They shall have the number of electors as if they were a state, but will never have as much as the least populous state.

This amendment deals with situations in which the president may die or is unable to carry out his/her duties and when the vice president should act as president.

Abolition of Poll TaxesNo state can deny someone the right to vote because they have failed to pay a voting tax. This amendment says there can be no voting taxes.

Civil RightsThis amendment says that all citizens of Retroville will be treated equal, no matter what race or religion. This does not include women.

Congressional Pay RisesCongress cannot change the pay of senators and representatives who are serving in that session of Congress.

Carl can spend his moneyon other things knowing that his pay will not change , while he is a senator.
