Chúa Nhật 29 Thường Niên Chúa Nhật Truyền Giáo Anh Em là Chứng Nhân
Nếu Đức Giêsu phục sinh không sai gửi Thánh Thần thì chúng ta chẳng có một Hội Thánh Truyền Giáo. Các tông đồ được lệnh chờ ở Giêrusalem. Chờ mặc lấy quyền năng từ trời cao ban xuống. Chờ lãnh nhận phép Rửa trong Thánh Thần. Không có sức mạnh của Ngôi Ba Thiên Chúa, các tông đồ chẳng dám đi rao giảng cho muôn dân, và trở nên chứng nhân của Đức Giêsu cho cả thế giới. Thánh Thần vẫn thôi thúc bao tâm hồn đi gieo Tin Mừng, vẫn hiện diện và hướng dẫn Hội Thánh trong việc rao giảng, vẫn khơi dậy bao sáng kiến mới mẻ trong việc truyền giáo. Kitô hữa tự bản chất là chứng nhân. Các tông đồ đã làm chứng vì họ đã thấy tận mắt. Chúng ta chỉ có thể làm chứng nếu thấy bằng đức tin. Thấy bằng đức tin mạnh chẳng kém gì thấy bằng mắt. Truyền giáo không phải là tuyên truyền một lý thuyết, mà là đưa người khác đến gặp một Ngôi Vị, là chia sẻ cho họ niềm xác tín và yêu mến của mình. Mỗi năm Hội Thánh dành một ngày Chúa Nhật để nhắc chúng ta nhớ đến bổn phận của mình,, bổn phận truyền giáo cho thế giới. “Phải nhân danh Người mà rao giảng cho muôn dân”. Chúng ta phải tiếp tục sứ mạng của các tông đồ, vinh dự đứng vào hàng ngũ các chứng nhân. Để truyền giáo, chúng ta phải phải quen thân với Chúa Giêsu, có kinh nghiệm gặp gỡ Ngài thật sâu lắng, sống với cái chết của Ngài mỗi ngày và nếm được niềm vui phục sinh Ngài ban tặng. Để truyền giáo cần phải có nhiều tình yêu: tình yêu đối với Chúa Giêsu và đối với con người. Chính vì yêu mến Ngài mà ta muốn Ngài được mọi người nhận biết. Chính vì mến yêu mọi người mà ta muốn chia sẻ hạnh phúc mình đang hưởng.
Cầu Nguyện
Lạy Cha, Cha muốn mọi người được cứu độ và nhận biết chân lý, chân lý mà Cha đã bày tỏ nơi Đức Giêsu, Con Cha. Xin Cha nhìn đến hàng tỉ người chưa nhận biết Đức Giêsu, họ cũng là những người được cứu chuộc. Xin Cha thôi thúc nơi chúng con khát vọng truyền giáo, khát vọng muốn chia sẻ niềm tin và hạnh phúc, niềm vui và bình an của mình cho tha nhân, và khát vọng muốn giới thiệu Đức Giêsu cho thế giới.Chúng con thấy mình nhỏ bé và bất lực trước sứ mạng đi đến tận cùng trái đất để loan báo Tin Mừng. Chúng con chỉ xin đến với những người bạn gần bên, giúp họ quen biết Đức Giêsu và tin vào Ngài, qua đời sống yêu thương cụ thể của chúng con. Chúng con cũng cầu nguyện cho tất cả những ai đã xả thân lo việc truyền giáo. Xin Cha cho những cố gắng của chúng con sinh nhiều hoa trái. Amen!
TIN TỨC CỘNG ĐOÀN
♦Ban Thường Vụ chúng con xin kính gởi đến Cha Quản Nhiệm, Thầy Sáu, Các Ban, Ngành, Đoàn Thể cùng tất cả các Thiện Nguyện Viên lời tri ân chân thành về những công sức, đóng góp tích cực của mỗi cá nhân cho ngày hội chợ Hương Vị Việt Nam 2019. Sự thành công rất tốt đẹp trong yêu thương, đoàn kết, chia sẻ, nâng đỡ và lòng nhiệt tình của mọi người đã làm cho không khí hội chợ thêm vui tươi, hăng say và thành công mỹ mãn ngoài mong ước của Ban Tổ Chức. Kết quả chúng ta gặt hái được tổng cộng là $16,267, số tiền này đã được trao cho Đức Ông Kerry Beaulieu trong thánh lễ thứ Bẩy ngày 12 tháng 10 vừa qua, để chuyển vào quỹ tài chánh của giáo xứ. Ban Thường Vụ nguyện xin Thiên Chúa ban muôn vàn Thánh Ân của Ngài đổ tràn đầy trên Cha Quản Nhiệm, Thầy Sáu, Ban Tổ Chức với Các Ban, Ngành, Đoàn Thể cùng tất cả các thiện nguyện viên và gia đình được dồi dào sức khỏe, vui tươi, hạnh phúc trong bàn tay nâng đỡ của Thiên Chúa.
♦Phiên chầu lượt của giáo xứ chúng ta sẽ vào thứ Hai 21 tháng 10 từ 7 am đến 6:15 am sáng hôm sau. Xin cộng đoàn dành thời giờ đến kính viếng Chúa. Riêng cộng đoàn Việt Nam sẽ có giờ chầu lúc 8:00 pm do LMTT và TTV-TT phụ trách và lúc 9:00 pm do Canh Tân Đặc Sủng phụ trách .
♦Đạo binh Legio Mariae sẽ không có họp chiều thứ Bảy, ngày 26 tháng 10.
♦Xin Cộng Đoàn lưu ý: Thứ Bảy ngày 26 tháng 10, chỉ có một thánh lễ song ngữ Anh/Việt duy nhất vào lúc 5:00 chiều. Sẽ không có thánh lễ Việt Nam lúc 6:30 chiều như thường lệ.
♦Xin cộng đoàn dân Chúa mang các chai đựng “Tiền xu từ trời cao” hay Pennies from Heaven đến giáo xứ trong tháng 10 để ủng hộ các trung tâm Bảo Vệ Sự Sống.
♦Quỹ Mục Vụ cho năm 2019 đã nhận được đóng góp là $78,414. Giáo xứ chân thành cám ơn sự dâng cúng quảng đại của cộng đoàn dân Chúa. Tuy vậy giáo xứ vẫn chưa đạt mục tiêu $115,000 cho năm 2019.
