From 2012 to 2015, I served as Assistant Events Coordinator for Fort William Historical Park, a branch of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport (MCTS). More recently, I have completed a six month internship as the Executive Director the YPNO. This background has enabled me to enhance my vast array of skills that would be beneficial to the position with ***. I have highly effective communication skills variously in verbal, written, and graphic formats. I am also familiar with soliciting sponsorship support to promote various initiatives. I am also familiar with various computer programs in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. My experience with the above organizations has enabled me to become a highly organized and detail-focused professional who excels in working efficiently and effectively. I am proficient in various aspects of event planning, from single to multi-day events, extending to festivals, historical re-enactments, cultural events including First Nations festivals, sporting events, tradeshows, and fundraising events. While serving with the Young Professionals Network, I have become familiar with working with a volunteer board and connecting with young professionals across Ontario.
