Project Management is the application of processes, knowledge, skill sets and methods of implementation to achieve the project objectives. A Project Manager's responsibility is to Analyze and define the project's scope of work, to Plan a comprehensive work plan, to execute and implement construction processes, and to ultimately close projects adhering to high standards of quality in project delivery within a finite timeline.

Project management focuses on Planning management, Organization and Communication. From inception to completion of a project, It is a sequence of events where progress is steady, one step seamlessly leading to the next and every possible shortcoming is considered and countered. The objective of a Project manager is to know exactly what needs to be achieved before the first steps are taken , how one will achieve it and how long it will take to complete the task.

Project Management has evolved from applications of civil engineering, other engineering fields, management and defense related research and contributions. The principles remain key stone contributors to construction industry and infrastructure sector which are key drivers for the Indian economy enjoying intense focus from Indian Government aiming to create and partner in world class infrastructure. As a field of higher education, the course fosters professionalism and aims to create a forum for exchange of ideas, simultaneously aiming to explore applications through studies in practice of project management. Integrating the industrial and academic research efforts. It also provides guidelines in computer software application. This helps in searching for better prospects in career development.

The CTES College of Architecture, started in 2014 with the ideal of providing an inspiring learning Environment, enters its 6th year. The first batch has successfully completed the five year undergraduate programme. We are now enthusiastically commencing our post graduate studies programme in Project Management. This is one of the important specializations which enable the realization of Architectural Ideas. As the discipline of Project Management is gaining importance, it is imperative that architects take on the mantle of leadership of the Construction Process. Basics of Construction management are learnt at the undergraduate level. However, as complexities and Scales of Projects grow it is necessary that professionals equip themselves with appropriate tools and technologies. The Master's programme will greatly enable them to take on new challenges, career paths, and make greater and a more positive impact on the built environment.
