Crocheted yoke pat Work in sc. At end of each

GAUGE

17 rows = 4/10cm in yoke pat.
BACK
Cast on 78 (84, 90, 96, 106) sts. Work in St st until
piece measures 17/44.5cm. Shape armholes
Bind off 2 (2, 3, 4, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows; then
dec 1 st at beg and end of every RS row 5 times
64 (70, 74, 78, 84) sts. When armhole measures
8 (9, 9, 10, 10)/22 (23.5, 24.5, 26, 27)
cm, shape back neck as foll: Work to center 22
(22, 24, 26, 28) sts, join another ball of yarn and
bind off center 22 (22, 24, 26, 28) sts, work to end
of row. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge, AT SAME
TIME,shape shoulders as foll: Bind off 10 (11,

FRONT

another ball of yarn and bind off center 70 (76,
80, 84, 90) sts, work to end. Working both sides
at once, bind off 2 (2, 3, 4, 6) sts at beg of next
row. Cont shaping armholes same as for back.When armholes

ders as foll: Bind off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows;

SLEEVES
Cast on 92 (96, 100, 104, 108) sts. Work in St st.
Work full-fashioned dec A at beg and end of every 4th
row 7 times; then every RS row 7 times64 (68, 72, 76
80) sts. When piece measures 8/20cm, shape sleeve
cap as foll: Bind off 2 (3, 4, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2
rows; then 2 sts at beg of foll 2 rows. Work full-fashioned
dec A at beg and end of every RS row 9 (10, 11, 12, 13)
times; then work full-fashioned dec B at beg and end of
foll RS row. Bind off rem 34 sts.
LEFT YOKE
Using crochet hook, ch 23 (25, 27, 29, 31), plus 1 ch
for turning. Work in yoke pat, working first sc of row 1
in second ch from hook. Work even for 28 (30, 32,
32, 34) rows. Shape front neckNext row (RS)
Sc to last 3 (4, 5, 6, 7) sts; turn and sc to end. Next

RIGHT YOKE
Work same as for left yoke, rev all shaping.
FINISHING
Mark center of front neck edge. On each side of cen-
ter, fold a /2cm pleat 1 (2, 2, 2, 3)/4 (5,
6, 7, 8)cm from center; make a second pleat on each
side 1 (2, 2, 2, 2)/4.5 (5, 5.5, 6, 6.5)cm from
first pleat. Pleats open toward the side seams. Tack
pleats down on upper edge; neck edge should
measure about 5 (6, 7, 7, 8)/13.5 (16, 17.5,
19, 20.5)cm on each side of center. Sew crocheted
yokes to front from shoulders to center front. Sew
shoulder seams. Work 1 row sc around front yoke and
neck edges, working 6 button loops (ch 6 for each
button loop; check to make sure button will fit
through loop) evenly spaced along right yoke edge.
Sew buttons to left yoke about /1.5cm from edge
to correspond. Sew sleeves into armholes. Sew side
and sleeve seams.
