These are trees that survived exposure to the single atomic bomb blast of Aug. 6, 1945.They have survived in soil about which it was said “Nothing will grow here for 75 years after the war,” and the ample greenery of the current approx. 170 remaining A-bombed trees (within an approx. 2-km radius of the hypocenter) provide courage and hope to the residents of the city.

● A place to spend some quiet time as it is a nice off-the-beaten-track spot.
● The meaning of the name “Mitaki” refers to the three waterfalls, and the path approaching the shrine, with its distinctly Japanese “wabi-sabi” aesthetic, features a peace pagoda for the victims of Auschwitz and a stone memorial with 33 inscribed Tanka poems to comfort the souls of the victims of the atomic bombing.
● Christian church (Catholic Nobori-machi Church) constructed with the objective of serving as a memorial for the victims of the atomic bombing and the war, and as a prayer for world peace.
● Mass in English is held every Sunday from 14:30 to 15:30. ● There are pipe organ recitals on the first Sunday of every month from 16:00
to 17:00
Luxury Point

● Nostalgic hot springs village in the north of Hiroshima Prefecture.● It is a great spot to get close to Japanese culture with its natural hot
springs and a purely Japanese-style wooden inn, as well as restaurants and tea houses amidst the souvenir stores.
● You can enjoy “Hiroshima Akitakata Kagura”, a proud traditional regional art form that can be mostly appreciated on the weekends. (Kagura is an ancient Shinto music and dance performance.)

JR Miyajima-guchi Station
It is convenient to purchase a “Miyajima Free Pass” that contains a set of tickets consisting of a two-day pass for the
streetcar (all lines), and tickets for the Miyajima Matsudai Kisen ferry that runs between
Miyajima-guchi and Miyajima, and for the Miyajima ropeway (Momiji-dani to Shishi-iwa).
● Experience the seven wonders (such as the Kiezu-no-hi, a flame that has been burning continuously for nearly the last 1,200 years) of Mt. Misen, the mysterious mountain where the gods live.
● You can enjoy a marvelous view of the islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea from the viewing platform at the peak of Mt. Misen.
● A “Land of Make-Believe” appears along Heiwa Odori (Peace Blvd.) from middle November until early January. The nights of Hiroshima sparkle with color from the shower of light of some 1.4 million LED light bulbs.
● Accommodations and hot springs facilities are located along a valley, so it feels cool even during the summer.
● The hot springs’ waters are not extremely hot, making it perfect for summer.
● Perfect for relaxation after mountain hiking or sports as the hot springs are effective for nerve, muscular, and joint pain, as well as for beautiful skin.
● We recommend staying overnight if you want to relieve your fatigue in a more relaxed manner.

● This sake capital is praised as one of the three famous sake brewery regions together with Nada in Hyogo Prefecture and Fushimi in Kyoto Prefecture.
● There is a course visiting the eight sake breweries on Saijo Sakagura Dori, and you can sample their sake along the way. There is also a sake festival held at the beginning of October every year.
● You can also enjoy the excellent local delicacy of “Bishu-nabe”, a hot-pot dish made with fresh vegetables, chicken, pork, sake, and salt and pepper.
● Mt. Futaba is a power spot of Hiroshima City. (Be sure to check out the “Taiyo-no-iwa” rock!)
● You must see the views of the city and Miyajima floating in the Seto Inland Sea from the Mt. Futaba Peace Pagoda.
● Kinko-Inari Shrine has some 500 stairs adorned with 100 Shunuri Torii (vermillion-colored Shinto archways).
①Hiroshima is the largest producer of oysters, called “Milk of the Sea”, in Japan!
②Hiroshima oysters cultivated in the Seto Inland Sea are not only delicious but also are appealing
for their nutritional balance.
③We recommend using ponzu (a citrusy soy sauce), soy sauce, or salt as seasoning for your oysters.
