Pictured is Kiga Station on the Tenryu-Hamanako Line. This station, which is close to the Taiga Drama Museum (Taiga Dorama-kan), is currently decorated with coverings that beautifully depict the Ii family crest on a red background. Some of the train cars of the Tenryu-Hamanako Line are also decorated with livery related to the Ii Naotora taiga drama. On this day, in addition to those visiting the Taiga Drama Museum, many people had gathered to try to see the train cars as well.

Refrain from Burning Fields＜ 野焼きはやめましょう ＞

Burning fields is generally prohibited as it negatively affects neighboring residents and damages the environment. We ask you to refrain from doing it. There may be exemptions to this prohibition in the event that incineration is necessary for agricultural and forestry management (rice straw, logging, etc.). However, even in these cases, you may be asked to suspend operations if there are complaints.

A “Photochemical Oxidant Warning” or a “PM 2.5 Warning” will be issued when there is a high concentration of photochemical oxidants or fine particulate matter in the atmosphere, as this can cause damage to human health. In the event that such warnings are issued, please take the following precautions to prevent damage to your health.<<In the event of a Photochemical Oxidant Warning>>1. Refrain from long periods of strenuous physical activity outdoors.2. If your eyes or throat are irritated, rinse your eyes and gargle.3. Refrain from driving in order to decrease automotive exhaust.<<In the event of a Fine Particulate Matter Warning (PM 2.5) >>1. Refrain from long periods of strenuous physical activity outdoors.2. Individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular issues, children, and the elderly should be particularly careful.3. Installation of Temporary Platforms at Hamakita Station＜ 浜北駅バリアフリー化工事に伴う仮設ホームの設置について ＞

Temporary platforms will be installed due to the barrier-free platform upgrades taking place at Hamakita Station, which are planned for completion in March 2018.When　　For approximately 8 months from the end of May to the end of January 2018 (planned)What　　 The island platform will be closed for renovation and temporary side platforms will be constructed on the outside of 　　　　 both tracks. The near platform, which does not require crossing the tracks, will be for trains bound for Nishi-Kajima, 　　　　　while the far platform, which does require crossing the tracks, will be for trains bound for Shin-Hamamatsu. Simple 　　　　　fencing and tactile pavement tiles are planned for installation on the temporary platforms. The island platform will be 　　　　 reopened from February 2018 (planned), and it will have a ramp for handicapped access. Once complete, permanent 　　　　　fencing and tactile pavement tiles with directional indicator lines are planned for installation on the renovated 　　　　 platform.Note Station staff and contracted workers will exercise due caution, but please feel free to speak with station staff as needed.Enquiries Enshu Railway Co.
