Herinnering: Implementering van Risiko Matriks en Oudit Frekwensie
Die Risiko Matriks en Oudit Frekwensie beleid het sedert 1 Augustus 2017 het in werking getree. Met alle oudits wat plaasgevind het sedert 1 Augustus 2017, word ’n risiko geallokeer aan die geouditeerde. Die kategorie, A, B, C, D of E wat aan die oudit geallokeer word bepaal die oudit frekwensie en net geouditeerde lede met A, B en C kategorie kan WIETA etiese sertifisering bekom. Die WIETA Risiko Matriks is aangekondig by ons Algemene Jaarvergadering en tydens 9 inligtingsessies wat in 9 verskillende streke gehou is. Ons het baie goeie terugvoer ontvang oor die matriks tydens hierdie sessies . Kelders,
handelsmerke en produsente het reeds proaktief die risiko matriks begin gebruik om hul eie risiko en die risiko in hul waardeketting te bepaal en te mitigeer. Die Risiko Matriks en oudit standaard word ook gedurende ons produsente opleiding wat maandeliks by ons kantoor gehou word, bespreek. Oudits op Vrugte & Wyn Plase
Ons het al voorheen in ons nuusbriewe gekommunikeer dat vanaf 1 Maart 2016, moet alle produsente wat WIETA & SIZA sertifisering benodig ‘n gekombineerde oudit aanvra. Hierdie moet voor die oudit gedoen word en kan dit nie meer na die oudit aangevra word nie. Aangesien die ooreenkoms met SIZA reeds in plek is sedert 1 Maart 2016 sal ons geen meer opvolg of mini oudits op plase doen met SIZA sertifisering nie en moet ‘n gekombineerde oudit aangevra word. Wat beteken ‘n gekombineerde oudit? WIETA of NSF, ‘n oudit liggaam van SIZA, kan die gekombineerde oudit doen. Die hoogste standaard van die twee oudit liggame in alle gevalle word gehandhaaf en teen geoudit. Daar is spesifieke WIETA ouditeure en ouditeure van NSF wat deur die organisasies goedgekeur is. Worker hotline WIETA has a worker hotline and a whatsapp line whereon
workers can lodge any complaint on a WIETA farm or they
can use the platform to ask questions or obtain further
information.
We will share some of the questions asked by workers in
our Newsletters:
FAQ: A workers from one of our member sites reported
that he has been employed for a few months, but did not
receive an employment contract.
What does the law & ethical principles say: In terms of
the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Sectoral De-
termination 13, all employees must be supplied with
written particulars of employment when the employee
commences to work and it must be explained to workers.

Ethical Seal Requirements All applications for the ethical seal will now be traced back to the point
of INTAKE of the grapes into the tank.
Implementation is effective retrospectively and traceability can be done back to 2015 harvest.
From 2018 harvest and the 2018 intake, any wine containing grape from
sites who were audited after 1 August 2017 and whose audit report reflects a risk category D or E, will not be approved for the seal.
Please note that Bottlers will need to be certified on all traces for the
ethical seal from harvest 2018.

intake year) – 40% audited on WS / WSB SAWIS

Certification needs to be in place by April 2015 to qualify
for 60%. Audits done must be valid (done from 1 October
2014 onwards)
2016
60% WIETA certified sites (certified by April of the
intake year) – 40% audited on WS / WSB SAWIS
trace
Certification needs to be in place by April 2016 to qualify
for 60%. Any critical NCs in audit at time of intake not ac-
cepted for approval. Audits done must be valid (done from
1 October 2016 onwards)
2017
60% WIETA certified sites (certified by April of the
intake year) – 40% audited on WS / WSB SAWIS
trace
Certification needs to be in place by April 2017 to qualify

2019 100% WIETA certified sites from WS / WSB SAWIS

2019 intake
Certification needs to be in place by 2019 to qualify for
100%. All audits undertaken from 1 August 2017 with a D
or E category not accepted.
Akkreditasie-tydlyn: voor & na die oudit Namate die jaar aanstap , benodig produsente toenemend WIETA-sertifisering voor hul wyndruiwe geoes kan word en

* Neem kennis dat indien ons Regstellende Aksie Planne na 6 maande na die oudit datum ontvang, sal ‘n
opvolg besoek op die geouditeerde se koste gedoen word om die regstellende aksies te evalueer.
Aangesien ‘n oudit slegs geldig is vir een jaar moet alle regstellende aksies binne een van die jaar af-
geteken word. Indien dit nie afgeteken is binne een jaar nie, sal die oudit verval en moet ‘n volle her-oudit
gedoen word.

What is a Comic Contract? WIETA has collaborated with Creative
Contracts, the creators of the Comic Contract,
the world’s first fully illustrated contract, to
create a generic Comic Contract for
farmworkers in the wine industry.
It is estimated that 40% of farm workers in the
wine industry are not literate and are therefore
not able to read their employment contracts.
This contract is designed to help farmworkers
understand their contract by using pictorals to
explain their conditions of employment and
thereby built trust between the employer and
employee.
The generic Comic Contract is available in
Afrikaans, English and Xhosa and is available
free of charge to our members. We
however require that a licencing
agreement be signed.

contract.
Is it legal? This generic Comic Contract conforms to
the provisions of the Basic Conditions of
Employment Act, No 75 of 1997 and the
Sectoral Determination 13.
The Comic Contract has been audited by the
Department of Labour who found the
contract to be compliant with legislation.
Training
Please note that the comic
contract, like any employment
contract, must be explained before
being issued to workers. It is of
utmost importance that workers
understand the contents of their
contract before they sign the it.
