This is my world!Hi, I’m Donna. I’m 13 and I’m from Detroit, in the USA. Detroit is a large, modern city. It’s in the north of the USA, on the border1 with Canada. It’s big and noisy, and it isn’t very pretty, but it’s my home! It’s also the home of my favourite sports team2 – the Detroit Tigers. They’re a baseball team. Baseball’s a cool sport! It’s my favourite. I’m in a girls’ baseball team at school.

The name of my school is Frederick Johnson Middle School. I’m in my last3 year there. The students in the school are 11 to 14 years old. My favourite subjects are History and English. They’re really interesting. I’m good at4 those subjects, but I’m not very good at Art, and Science is difficult and boring! I’m in a Spanish club after school, too. Spanish is fun5!

One of my hobbies is writing – stories6, poems7, my diary. My favourite possessions are my diary and a beautiful old pen. Writing on a computer is horrible!

Detroit is famous for its music and for its pop and rap singers. I’m not into rap. My favourite singers are Taylor Swift and Labrinth. Maroon 5 are a cool band, too. They’re from Los Angeles. My favourite Maroon 5 song is One More Night. Jazz music and classical music are good, too. I’m a big music fan!
