Layout

To board, there is a door amidships to starboard, a door aft to port in the cockpit, and a swim step aft with an access door to the cockpit. Access to the lazarette is through a large hatch in the cockpit. The warm teak interior is very inviting when entering the salon and galley through the aft sliding door from the cockpit. An L-shaped settee (10’) is to port with a teak adjustable table for dining and entertaining. Another settee (7’) is to starboard; both settees provide underneath storage. The U-shaped galley is well equipped and open to the salon. All flooring in the boat is teak and spruce. Custom-bound removable carpeting is throughout the boat with non-skid strips on stairs. Stainless steel handrails are located throughout the boat. Forward starboard of the salon are steps down which lead to the stateroom pas-sageway; three steps up lead to the pilothouse. The guest cabin is port aft with the accompanying head and shower across the hall to starboard. The master stateroom is forward with an island berth, its own head and shower, and a privacy door. Entrance to the engine room is through an insulated door in the guest cabin. The pilothouse has a comprehensive selection of electronics and communications equipment. Aft in the pilothouse is a raised bench with table and settee; above and aft of the settee is a pilot berth. There are both port and starboard sliding doors in the pilothouse. The boat deck is accessed from port side steps outside the pilothouse. The tender is hoisted by the mast and boom assembly which also supports the dry stack ex-haust. There are two stationary dock boxes on the boat deck. The Portuguese bridge surrounds the outside of the pilothouse. The foredeck is forward of the Portuguese bridge through a door to starboard. The anchor locker is located forward as are the automatic foot controls for the windlass. There is also a stationary dock box just forward of the Portuguese bridge. Note: Venture Forth was the first vessel offered by PAE without exterior teak. All exterior teak has been replaced with hardwood, laminated over with multiple layers of frp, and painted with a gloss gray Awlgrip.
