Cas understands that you may need to attend Mass in a different Parish until St. Francis Church reopens, but please don’t forget our Parish Community. Your support is still needed to help meet our everyday expenses. All Weekend Masses will continue to be held at St. Augustine Church until further notice. Please continue to keep your friends and neighbors informed so that they will be able to get to a Mass on time. Weekday Masses usually scheduled for St. Francis Church will be held in the Rectory. Please pray for a quick, successful cleanup of the spill.

ST. BRIGID PARISH TURKEY PARTY

St. Brigid Parish Annual Turkey Party will be held Thursday, November 21st at 7:00PM at Neumann Hall, Choconut. All our Parishioners are asked to turn out in support of this important fund raiser. Posters are available in the vestibules of the Churches, please take some and place them in businesses that you frequent.

BAKE SALE St. Brigid Altar & Rosary Society will sponsor a BAKE SALE at the Turkey Party, Thursday, November 21st, at Neumann Hall. All bakers are asked to bake their favorite “goodies” for the occasion. Please price your items. Thank you for your help and cooperation!

Thank you to everyone for your generosity in last weekends collection for the Care & Education of Priests. The collection total was $ 423.00.

HARVEST DINNER ~ THANK YOU

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who donated food, cooked turkeys, brought turkeys, made monetary donations and gave time to work and prepare our Annual Harvest Turkey Dinner. Also a big thank you to those who helped with clean up. A total of 260 dinners were served and a profit of $ 2,471.00 was realized! Because of your generosity the dinner was a big success. May God Bless each and every one of you!

REMEMBERING OUR BELOVED DECEASED You may bring photos of your deceased family members and friends to place before the Altar. We will leave them thru the month of November as we remember those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith.

THANK YOU FROM LITTLE MEADOWS FIRE COMPANY Thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast last Sunday morning. We had a great turn-out and greatly appreciate you support!

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON We are collecting Hot Chocolate Mix for the Susquehanna County Christmas Bureau. This group provides the ingredients for Christmas Dinner for low income families in Susquehanna County. A box is in the back of the Church for these donations. We need to collect 250 boxes. The deadline for donations is Monday, December 9th. (Hot Chocolate Mix is available at the Dollar stores at better prices than the grocery stores.) So far we don’t have any donations. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKSGIVING GIFT CARDS AND/OR FOOD PANTRY If you know anyone in need of a THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKET, please call Rosalynd Perlick-Spencer (570-663-2212), as soon as possible. Donations of turkeys or money to purchase turkeys would be appreciated. We also have (12) area families ranging in size from 1 person to 5 people, on our list to receive FOOD CARDS. If you know of anyone that needs help, please let us know by November 15th. If you have put

someone on the list in the past and they no longer need help, please let us know. Donations are needed by November 18th. Donations to date are $ 285.00 or $ 23.75 per family. All donations for FOOD CARDS or TURKEYS for the FOOD BASKETS should be put in an envelope in the collection and marked “Attention Kay”. All donations are greatly appreciated.

CONFESSIONS FOR CCD STUDENTS (Note: Confessions for students are held at the regularly scheduled Confession times; Saturday - 4:00 to 4:20PM; Sunday - following 8:00AM Mass; and following 10:30AM Mass.) Following are the Confessions still scheduled: November 9/10—Confessions for grade 7; November 16/17—Confessions for grades 8 thru 12. Parents and teachers are asked to help prepare students for Confession and remind them when it is their turn for Confession.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE On Tuesday, November 26th, beginning at 7:00PM, we will hold our 17th Annual Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service with Silver Lake Presbyterian Church. The Service will be held at the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church this year. St. Brigid Parish will provide the guest homilist. All St. Brigid Parishioners are welcome to attend. Please come and thank God for all He has done for us in the past year and pray for our Country. Light refreshments will follow the service.

HAM & TURKEY PARTY

The Rush Volunteer Fire Co. will host their Ham & Turkey Party on Saturday, November 16th, at 7:00PM at the Rush Social Hall, Lawton, Pa. Benefits the Rush Volunteer Fire Company. All are welcome to attend.

Thank you to those who have already made the commitment to “Serve with Love.” Bishop Joseph C. Bambera extends his sincere gratitude to everyone who has already made a pledge to the 2013 Diocesan Annual Appeal. Each gift truly matters. If you have not yet made your gift, and need a pledge envelope, envelopes will be distributed at Masses today. St. Brigid Parish Appeal goal is $ 23,750.00, the same amount as last year. Currently we have (85) pledges for a total of $ 10,320.00. We are under our goal by $ 13,430.00.

FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION VIA THE WEINBERG FOOD BANK Free food distribution for those in need—RESIDENTS OF SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY ONLY. Distribution date is Tuesday, November 19th, from 11AM to 1PM and 5PM to 7PM, at the Little Meadows United Methodist Church, Penn. Ave., Little Meadows. MOM’S HOUSE BENEFIT A Barnes & Noble Book Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, from 9:00AM to 10:00PM. * Mention Mom’s House with purchases and a percent of sales will benefit Mom’s House. Vouchers for the Book Fair are on the table in the back of the Church.
