by using a wireless Internet connection. Visioning the change

provide wireless highspeed Internet connection to satisfy the coffee-

sippers’s need for their digital lives. KSC, a premium Internet

provider responses to Starbucks’ vision and has rapidly installed

wireless Internet devices in over 120 locations of Starbucks in

Thailand. A customer may hang out at Starbucks for hours cruising

the Internet on their laptops or palm devices, via KSC Hotspot, a

wireless highspeed Internet connection. They can buy an Internet

card at Starbucks or subscribe for a monthly unlimited usage of KSC

Hotspot to surf Internet at anytime you like.

KSC’s Services for Starbucks

The premium quality of KSC’s Internet and Business Solutions ensures that our services will support Starbucks’ capability to serving its customer. Starbucks uses KSC’s Internet connection and our Business solutions. The services that Starbucks uses includes Accessibility Solutions to communicate between each branch of Starbucks and it’s Thailand’s Head Office via high-speed ADSL, MPLS and Leased Line Media. Each location is connected to the others via a stable and secured Virtual Private Network (VPN), preventing unauthorized access to Starbucks system. The Head Office in Thailand can exchange online information and make a teleconference with regional head offices in other countries via a smooth, uninterrupted Internet connection.

KSC also provides KSC Centralized service, allowing KSC to remote access to monitor and fix errors that interrupt the Internet connection at any Starbucks shops from KSC head office, ensuring that problems will be promptly solved.

Another service that KSC serves Starbucks is the Backup Solutions. The service includes ADSL Auto Backup that will be activated once the main Internet link is down. The Mail Buffer service, is a back up email system. If Starbucks’ emailing system is out of order and cannot retrieve emails, all the email will be temporary stored at KSC Data Center and once the service is come back, the emails will be delivered to Starbucks’ mail server. With this service, the company will not miss any important information.

To support Starbucks’ executives, they can access to Starbucks intranet system via a VPN connection over KSC Hotspot or KSC Broadband service. Moreover, KSC IT Solutions services increase the efficiency of Starbucks’ operation. Today most of Internet users have their own webpages or become members of Social Networking websites. The owners of these webpages usually customize the design of their webpages to make them more beautiful and interesting.

This issue of Hot Surf is introducing websites where you can create your own avatar to use in Facebook, or Instant Messaging programs. 1) 1G: First Generation

1G เปนยค Analog ใชสญญาณวทยในการสงคลนเสยงโดยไมรองรบการสงผานขอมล

ใดๆ สามารถใชงานเสยงไดอยางเดยว คอ โทรออก-รบสาย เทานน ผบรโภคในยคนน

ยงไมมความตองการอน นอกจากเสยง และปรมาณผใชโทรศพทมอถอยงอยในขอบเขต

ทจำกดมาก

The First Generation wireless technology (1G) is the original analog, voice-only

cellular telephone standard. The technology didn’t support data transferring

and numbers of mobile phones users is very few.

2) 2G: Second Generation

เปนยคของ Digital สงทางคลน Microwave ซงยคนเอง เปนยคทเรมทำใหสามารถใช

งานรบสงขอมลได นอกเหนอจากการใชงานเสยงเพยงอยางเดยว การรบ-สงขอมลตางๆ

การสง SMS, Download Ringtone, Wall Paper ตางๆ และการตดตอเชอมโยงทำได

อยางมประสทธภาพมากขนเรอยๆ จนเกดการกำหนดเสนทางการเชอมกบสถานฐาน

The Second Generation wireless technology (2G) is the digital age where the

signal was carried by a microwave carrier. 2G introduced data services for

mobile, starting with SMS text messages to Download Ringtones, Wallpapers.

The technology digital signaling to connect the radio towers to the rest of the

telephone system and led to the development of the GSM (Global System for

Mobilization) Standards, enabling subscribers to use their phones in many parts

of the world (Roaming).

The 2.� G is the age of the GPRS which provided faster wireless services.

Technically, the GPRS offers fast data transmission rates of up to 115 kbps.

Some book may refer to the period when the EDGE technology has been

developed from the GPRS standard as the 2.75G.

4) 3G: Third Generation

จดเดนทสดของ 3G นน เปนเรองของความเรวในการเชอมตอและการรบ-สงขอมล

โดยเนนการเชอมตอแบบไรสายดวยความเรวสง ทำใหประสทธภาพในการรบสงขอ

The Third Generation is recognized for its speed in data transferring via the

wireless connection. 3G enable operators to offer users a wider range of

more advanced services through improved spectral efficiency. Services in-

clude large data file transferring, Voice/Call conference and TV Streaming

because of the technology’s greater network capacity through improved

spectral efficiency.

Blood group O: Potential risk of gastritis from high acid level in stomach. The diet recommended for people with blood type O is simply a variation on many of the typical high-protein such as meat, vegetable (ie. Tomatoes, plums, prunes) and seaweed.
