It is green April that makes the life greatness. I would like to ask you to attend the "The First Joint Meeting of Veterinary Science in East Asia" held at Seoul National University from May 10 to 12. In October last year, as the chairman of the Korean Veterinary Society, I proposed to hold a joint symposium between Japan, Taiwan and Korea on veterinary conferences every year. I have been preparing for the symposium since last November, and in February I met with the chairman of the veterinary society of each country in Tokyo and agreed on the formation and progress of the symposium. As a result, joint symposium will be held in Korea this year and 2019, will be held in Taiwan 2020, and then will be held in Japan 2021. Asia is now becoming the center of the world. Veterinary science will also have to adapt to this trend. In order to do this, we first need to find common interests in the veterinary field in Asia and develop further through researching and discussing realistic issues. Japan, Taiwan and Korea have similar interests in many respects. However, the solving measures for the problems are slightly different. Mutual discussions will help us find a suitable alternative. I would appreciate it if you would like to give us a lot of feedback on interesting themes and would like to ask for your active participation.
