1 Introduction

This document presents performance characteristics of a flyback convertor module designed with OB2268C. The module features:

Small OCP variation over universal input range implemented with simple design approach. (US Patent Pending)

Very low standby power achieved. (US Patent Pending) Audio free operation thanks to On-Bright proprietary technology.

This document contains sessions on power supply specification, transformer design and performance data.

2 Adaptor Module Specification

Model Number: OBPD48W-4L120B

2.1 Input Characteristic

AC input voltage rating: 100VAC to 240VAC

AC input voltage range: 90VAC to 264VAC

AC input frequency: 47Hz to 63Hz

Inrush current: Less than the ratings of it’s critical components (Including bulk

rectifiers, fuse and surge limiting device)

Input Current: 1.5A (rms) Max. at full load and 90Vac~132Vac/60HZ input

1.0A (rms) Max. at full load and 180Vac~264Vac/50HZ input

Efficiency: 80% Min at maximum load and normal line.

Standby Power: Less than 0.3 W under 240Vac line and no load

2.2 Output Characteristic

Output Voltage: +12.0V & + 5.0V

Minimum output current: +5V/0.1A ; +12V/0A

Continuous maximum output current: +5V/3.5A ; +12V/2.6A

2.3 Protection Features

Over Voltage Protection: 17.5V Max for 12V and 7.5V Max for 5V, with

automatic recovery function.

Over Power Protection: 110%~140% of output power, with automatic recovery

function.

Short Circuit Protection: Short circuit placed on any DC output will shut down

all DC outputs, the unit will recover when short condition is removed.

2.4 Environments

Temperature: 0 to + 45℃ ℃

Relative Humidity: 20 % to 90 % RH

Storage

Temperature: -40 to 60 ℃ ℃

Relative Humidity: 0 % to + 95 % RH, non-condensing

2.5 Product Safety Leakage Current: The AC leakage current is less than 3.5mA when the power

supply connect to 264V/50Hz.

Insulation Resistance: The insulation resistance should be not less than 30M

Ohm after applying of 500VDC for 1 minute

Dielectric Voltage Withstand: The power supply shall withstand for 1 minute without breakdown

by the application of a 60Hz 1500V AC voltage applied between both input line and chassis

(20mA DC cut-off current). Main transformer shall similarly withstand 3000Vac applied between

both primary and secondary windings for a minimum of one minute.

3V 时,IC 会保持住此时的 PWM 占空比,从而使 striking voltage 维持在当前的输出电压进行点灯。同

时 IC 开始点灯计时,用 2.6uA 电流对 STIME pin 外接电容进行充电,当 STIME pin 电压充到 2.6V 时

计时结束。此时若 CS pin 电压(由灯管电流流过反馈电阻产生)还未上升到 0.35V 以上,IC 即判断点

灯失败,IC 进入 latch 状态。在此之前,一旦 CS pin 电压到达 0.35V 以上,IC 即判断点灯成功,并立

即从点灯模式切换到正常工作模式。
