A key component in M-Stream's combined source-channel decoding algorithms for improving frame error rate (FER) in cellular communication. The M-Stream solution provides a 4 to 6 dB signal/noise improvement under typical GSM network conditions. First of its kind; today the accepted technology at Broadcom, embedded in all its mobile-phones products.

Millimetrix Broadband Networks, Senior Scientist, head of the algorithms group. 1997-98 Consultant to DSPGroup. CPU architecture and efficient implementation in HW of algorithms for arithmetic operations over finite fields. Developed new core instructions and efficient implementation of basic encoding/decoding operations for binary codes or codes over GF(2m) – Patented by DSPG ( see under patents).

1997-98 Consultant to Information Storage Devices (ISD). Real Time implementation of voice compression algorithms. Complexity analysis and performance estimation of real time voice recognition algorithm on ISD’s chip set.

1990-94 National Semiconductor, DSP group. Development and implementation of model-based Voice compression

algorithms with proprietary adaptive compression and encoding of the innovation signal.

Design of speech enhancement algorithm for compressed voice stored in a noisy/low quality storage device.

In charge of development of high intelligible voice compression algorithm suited for the Far-East market for which standard algorithms like GSM and CELP degrade.

1988-90 National Semiconductor, Chip logic design group. Design of the Swordfish-NS764 Floating Point (FP) modules; Design of Synchronization and scheduling mechanisms of two integer and single FP pipes of different depths that work in parallel.
