time and a layer of mulchcan help protect the more

tender plants.Prune overgrown shrubswhilst the leaves are

off the plants and youcan see the old andnew growth. Plant out

bare rooted trees orroses once they arrive,

provided the soil is notfrozen.

in city sports awards ceremonyFORMER Queens Par Hgh School PE teacher Denns Dorman has been gven a lfetme

achevement award.

Denns was recognsed at the thrd annual Cheshre West and Chester Sports Awards.

Councl Charman Cllr Eleanor Johnson and the Executve Member for Culture and

Recreaton, Cllr Stuart Parer presented the awards.The prestgous Specal Recognton award was awarded to Denns Dorman and Jane

Hodson.

Denns has dedcated over 35 ears to teachng PE at QPHS and up untl recentl was

the Trustee at Chester youth Club. He s also the Treasurer and Secretar for the Chester

Schools FA and was recentl awarded a slver long servce medal b the Englsh Schools

FA for 25 ears servce to schools football.
