How to choose the right lighting control system

First there are some points to clarify:

1) What should be attained with the lighting control ?

a) just an adjustable brightnessb) variable light presetsc) constant brightnessd) presence dependent dimming/switchinge) a combination of the abovef) other

2) What functions are needed ?

a) adjustable brightness of single or multiple circuits togetherb) different ajustable brightness of various electrical circuitsc) changing of light levels be done through operator, automatically or external remote control systemsd) should a Bus-Contro System be used (e.g. EIB)e) should variable circuits be alternatively be combined to control

(e.g. divisible seminar rooms)

3) What kind of operations are needed ?

a) operation through potentiometerb) pushbutton controlc) automatic controls through photo cells or motion detectorsd) controls through Bus-Systeme) radio remote controlf) combination of the above possibilities

4) What type of loads are to be controlled ?

a) type of loads (incandescent lamps, low voltage halogen lamps, LEDs, fluorescent lamps)b) if transformer load, then what transformer type (magnetic or electronic)

if fluoriscent lamps, then which kind of ballasts (conventional magnetic, 10V electronic ballasts, DALI, digital ballasts) if LEDs, 230V Retrofit or LV-LEDs with driver (and what kind of driver)c) how many electrical circuits and which type of load for every circuit

Based on the above criteria you can create the right system from the available components

Our Offer: We will be pleased to assist and advise you on planning to find the best solution for the optimallighting control system to meet your needs.

POTENTIOMETER CONTROLLED DEVICES

The most simple devices forlighting control:

Rotary or sliding potentiometers control theconnected dimmer devices. Multiple dimmers(also divided at 3 phases) can be controlledtogether with just one potentiometer to controlhigh loads.

For electronic ballasts with 10V interface, controldevices with rotary potentiometer and pushbuttonfor wall boxes (Type DEV) are available. Theycan control up to 50 pieces of 10V dimmableelectronic ballasts without additional parts..

Pushbutton dimmer can be operated through anormal push-button, it switches ON/OFF bypressing the button briefly, it dims BRIGHTER/DARKER by pressing the button longer.

The 1-pushbutton device dims alternatelybrighter and darker, the 2-pushbutton versionallow access to the specific function needed.

We offer pushbutton controls for incandescentlamps, low voltage halogen lamps, fluorescentlamps. High loads can be controlled with addi-tional dimmer devices (also 3 phase). Forelectronic ballasts with 10V or digital (DALI)interface, there are control devices with thesame functions.

TipsTIPS FOR CONTROLLING FLUORESCENT LAM

At this time there are 4 systems of lighting controls for fluorescent lamps to choose from, which differ on theballasts devices used and the need to choose an appropriate lighting control device. The ballast devicesaccording to point 1 are out and seldom used anymore, they are mentioned only for completeness.

1) Conventional ballasts with filament transformers (often combined with additional electronicignition generator), it allows to control tubes with 38mm as well as tubes with 26mm diameterto ca.1% down (depending on the product/model).

I If lights/lamps are with conventional ballasts, filament transformer or electronic ignitiongenerators are neccessary, compensation and interference suppression capacitor are onlyallowed parallel to the mains, minimum load resistor is necessary.Wiring to the lights/lamps: 4 wires (Phase, Neutral, Ground, control Phase)To be observed: because of the unfavourable cos phi of the lights/lamps, the dimmer shouldbe loaded only 40% (Dimmer 2kW = 800 W fluorescent lamps).

2) Direct dimmable electronic ballasts with 10V interfaceneed no dimmer device. Since the dimming is done in the electronic ballasts itself, nodimmer device is necessary. These electronic ballasts allow a highly, fully flicker-free controlup to 1% down (depending on the model/product).Wiring to the lights/lamps: 3 wires (Phase, Neutral, Ground) and 2 wires for control voltage10V (on every light/lamp !)

3) Direct dimmable digital electronic ballasts (Zumtobel / Luxmate / Tridonic)the control is done through digital commands. These electronic ballasts can be controlledthrough DSI-Modules (DSI-004) too which do the conversion of the 1-10V signal, therefore theycan be used with all devices for electronic ballasts with 10V interface and DSI-Modules.The ON and OFF switching of the digital electronic ballasts is done through digitalcommands of the DSI-Modules, the electronic ballasts itself remains permanent on themains.

4) DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) electronic ballastsare direct dimmable digital electronic ballasts from various producer/manufacturers, similarto the electronic ballasts according to 4). The decisive difference is, that on one handadditional Preset, Switch, and Re-registration functions will be taken onto the system, on theother hand there is no dependency on any supplier, because various europeanmanufacturers supports these systems.Adjustment level: about 1-100%, the electronic ballasts remains permanent on the mains andwill be switched ON and OFF through software commands.

A 8

1) Devices in modular distributions/DIN rails should not be installed directly beside relays orsimilar material with a strong magnetic field (minimum distance 20 cm)

2) Relays and electric motors produce strong impulses when switching on and off whichinfluences control devices on unfavourable wiring and can trigger unwanted switching orcommands. Therefore: no control cables should be close with the cables of relays and motors. Often italso helps blocking the impulse with a capacitor (ca. 0,1 - 0,3 uF / 250 V AC) parallel to thecoil or motor.

3) With longer control cables (>20m) and/or in danger of higher interferences, the control cablesshould be shielded.

4) IF stronger, inductive loads are on the same mains branch, the mains-supply of the controldevices should be protected through fine overvoltage protection.

There are various systems of lighting controls for low voltage halogen lamps to choose from. Theydifferentiate through the transformers being used and the need to choose an appropriate lighting controldevice.

1) Conventional, magnetic transformersare problem-free to control with the right dimmer devices (leading edge), the dimmer can beloaded up to 90%.

2) Electronic transformers for leading edge controls (phase control)can be control with the standard dimmers (leading edge), the dimmer can be loaded up to90%.

TIPS FOR CONTROLLING LOW VOLTAGE HALOGEN LAMPS

3) Electronic transformers for trailing edge controls (phase control) are very common andcan only be controlled by special trailing edge dimmer.

4) Direct 10V interface electronic transformers don´t need a dimmer since the dimming is donein the transformer itself. It only needs a control device, all our control devices for 10V-electronic ballasts can be used.To be considered: it is necessary to have 2 additional wires for control, beside the mainssupply.

5) DALI controlled electronic transformers and drivers are controlled through DALI commands of aDALI system

INSTALLATION TIPS FOR PUSH BUTTON CONTROL DEVICES

Trailing edge dimmers (phase control) have a essential higher heat production compared toleading edge control dimmers (phase control). Therefore it is necessary to care for getting rid ofthe heat. Most especially if multiple trailing edge dimmers are mounted on a modularinstallation, enough ventilation and/or vacuum-ventilator are necessary.

INSTALLATION TIPS FOR TRAILING EDGE DIMMERS

As long as the pushbutton BRIGHTER is pressed, the brightness value goesup to full intensity (if the integrated relay was off, it will turn ON firstautomatically); if the button is released, the light remains at the reachedlevel. Correspondingly the same applies also for the pushbutton DARKER.The transition time of the device can be choosen seperately between ca. 1-40 sec.. The pushbutton ON/OFF switches alternately to ON/FULL-BRIGHTor DARK/OFF without delay.

The devices NT 22 , NT 32 and NT 42 have special logic functions which cause them by pressing one of thepushbuttons BRIGHT or PRESET to check if the device is in OFF position. If yes it will first switch ON and thenstart dimming brighter. On the other hand, the command DARK dimms to minimum level and automatically turnsOFF 3 sec. after reaching the minimum light level.Furthermore the devices are capable to store the last light value, i.e. the last value is stored in the dimmer andthe previous dim state can be retrieved if needed (special function on request).

As an option the devices can be equipped with LED status control which shows the choosen function in the controltableau.

These devices allow very simple settings from 4 up to 16 light preset scenes that can be altered anytime. Lightscenes come up through different brightness of various electrical lighting fixtures. Depending on the use, theoptimal light conditions for various needs can be memorized and recalled by the push of a button. The presetscan be entirely adjusted higher or lower through pushbuttons BRIGHTER and DARKER. The transition from onepreset to another goes slowly sliding.

In multi-purpose rooms, restaurants, hotel lobbies etc., light as a formly element is simply to use. By push ofa button the stored light presets can be retrieved and therefore can be exactly reproduced anytime. By usingonly part of the control buttons, one can create a control set with limited control possibility, for example, onlythe buttons for PRESETS and OFF, so it is not possible for unauthorized persons to change the stored values.

The systems are composed of one or various, parallel connected control panels, the control devices and anyvarious dimmer devices which are combined according to the control devices. 10V dimmable and DALI electronicballasts will be controlled directly by the control devices without dimmer devices.Through Scene Switch Modules simple switching functions can also be integrated into individual light presets,e.g. a fan is switched ON by preset 3.

Additional to the control tableaus, a radio remote control with all functions of the tableau can be used.

1-Pushbutton Control: for every individual area: it turns ON/OFF by pressing thebutton briefly, it dims UP and DOWN alternately by pressing the button longer.

Presets: By pressing one of the Preset-Buttons all devices switches ON and dims tothe preset value which was stored before. You can store up to 4 preset levels throughthe buttons and retrieve them again. The setting is very simple: with the dim-buttonsyou set brightness level for every area, then press the preset-button which shouldkeep these values for longer than 3 sec. - the values are stored.

Through an additional command button, the device canbe switched into automatic mode and keeps the presettedbrightness level in its area .If various devices should be used in automatic mode, the functioncan be called by just one pushbutton, however an individual lightsensor is needed for every device.

OPTION: NT 18A + NT 188 >> Daylight-Dependent Automatic Control (Constant light control)

The control devices NT 188 are very similar to the devices NT 18A, but do have 8 presets.

Special function for divisible roomsBy using in divisible rooms it is possible to store for both divided areas 4 light presets and additional 4 presetsfor the whole area. The system automatically recognizes the situation and controls for seperate rooms thepresets 1-4, by using the whole area the presets 5-8. The switching between single and combined is recognizedby a System-Module, the information is recieved through an end-switch of the partition wall.

DAYLIGHT-DEPENDENT AUTOMATIC CONTROLS AND SWITCHING DEVICES

Control device NT 38: Pushbutton control NT 32 + Constant light control

Constant Light Control NLK2: Mixed light dependent automatic controls

The device unites the functions of the pushbutton control devices NT 32 (Functions:BRIGHTER-DARKER-PRESET-ON/OFF) and the Constant Light Control NLK2. Bypressing a pushbutton you can switch between the functions of the Pushbutton Controland the Light Constant Control. The automatic function status is shown through a LEDin accompanied control tableau FS 38.

Lightsensors ( Photocells )

Light sensors serve as the light value registration fordaylight-dependent automatic controls.

B 6

The device switches 3 groups of lights dependent on the daylight. TheLight Sensor mounted outside or near the window monitors the daylightand switches ON or OFF when the artificial light falls or exceeds itsadjustable value.

WIRING >> F8Light Value Switch NLW 3: Daylight-dependent 3-channel switching device

WIRING >> F8

The Light Sensor mounted inside the room gets the momentarily light value which is composed of daylight andartificial light. This value is compared to the choosen light value on the device and the control dims accordinglylower or higher to reach the choosen level, so a constant light value can be reached. If the daylight reaches ahigher value and the artificial light stays for several minutes at minimum, the device switches OFF through theintegrated relay. A chooseable re-switch-lock (jumper or switch) can prevent the device to switch ONautomatically in an unused room.

KT 3E

The device series NT17/NT18 (modular installations) and KT2E/KT3E (lighting fixtures installations) unitesmost of present actual requirements on lighting control in just one device. These devices allow the manualcontrol BRIGHTER-DARKER through pushbutton and the automatic Brightness-Constant Light Controlthrough a Light Sensor. It is also available as a version with additional Light Value-Preset that stores up to4 Light Values which the user can simply store and retrieve through a pushbutton.

COMBI-DEVICES: PUSHBUTTON CONTROLS WITHPRESETS AND AUTOMATIC CONSTANT LIGHT CONTROL

In Automatic-Operation all devices switches OFF after 7 min. through the integrated relay if artificial-light-minimum is reached and there is sufficient daylight. The re-ON-switching at descending daylight is doneautomatically, but can be prevented through a re-ON-switching lock (jumper or switch at the item).

The desired Light-Value to be kept constantly is adjusted throughDimm-Button and stored by pressing the Automatic-Button for morethan 3 sec.

The operation is done through only 2 pushbuttons (installationbuttons). By pressing the Pushbutton 1 briefly it switches ON/OFF,by pressing the button longer it dims alternately BRIGHTER-DARKER. Pushbutton 2 is for the Automatic-Constant Light Controlmodus. The integrated relay can switch a load of max. 6A, forlhigher load it serves for switching a power relay.

The operation is done through 6 various pushbuttons (installation buttons)or our tableau FS6V. By pressing the Pushbutton 1 briefly it switchesON/OFF, by pressing the button longer it dims alternately BRIGHTER-DARKER. Pushbutton 2 is for the Automatic-Constant Light Controlmodus. Pushbuttons 3-6 serves for storing and retrieving the Presets. The integrated relay can switch a load of max. 6A, for larger load itserves for switching a power relay. The desired Light-Value to be kept constantly is adjusted through Dimm-Button and stored by pressing the Automatic-Button for more than 3 sec.Storing the Preset Values goes the same way, the desired brightness ischoosen with the Dimm-Button and can be stored by pressing thedesignated Preset-Button for 3 sec.

Since the operation of the Preset-Functions are done through codedcommands, by using other buttons instead of our tableau you need touse the encoder type ENC1, which is available as accessory and can beinserted in the wallbox behind the installation-buttons (small measurement30x20x10mm).

The devices are available as lighting fixtures installations (type KT 4E) and as modular installations/DINrails (type NT 19). One of our light sensors accessory is necessary. An optional Infrared remote control ispossible.

These devices unite the functions of full automatic, presence-dependent constant light control with thefunctions of a comfortable dimmer: Brighter-Darker-On/Off as well as the possibilities to set and recall 4 lightvalue presets through push button. The presence detection is done through extern motion detectors, as manyas needed can be used in parallel (for detecting larger area or various entrances). Every product which candeliver a switched mains phase (almost every device on the market) is usable. Because of the possibility tomount the light sensor and the motion detector at different places, the best place for both sensors can bechoosen and therefore a very reliable function can be reached.

In multi-purpose and seminar rooms, functions rooms, hotel lobbies, restaurants etc., there are oftenvarious part-areas. Every part-area will be used sometimes as single and sometimes together with otherparts as combined rooms. The lighting control should then be adapted accordingly to the users needs.

Therefore we offer items and systems which can be very simple switched according to differentsituations. In some cases it is even possible to have single controls and master controls in parallelwithout switching. These systems are simple and do not need programming or costly actions.

The technique is available for our pushbutton dimmers with 1 and/or 2-button control, for the controldevices for 10V electronic ballasts with 1-button control as well as for the pushbutton control devicesNT 22, 32, 42 with logic functions (3-6-pushbuttons control).

The control voltage of all devices is 5V, <1mA, safely separated from mains, so it can be easelycontrolled through building control systems, computers, bus-systems etc.

DEVICES WITH 1 and/or 2 PUSH-BUTTONS

Various devices can be flexible controlled for your needs. They can be switched together but controlledsingle and in groups. The full function of single devices stay unchanged and at the same time the mastercontrol functions are also available. With only 2-poles switching, you can change or alter alternativelygroup switching of part areas at momentary needs anytime. It is even possible to form a main andsubgroup switching.

Advantage: This devices make master and group controlling at reasonable prices and with little effortpossible. The controlling can be done through a common dual button (e.g. Blinds controlbutton).Because of the time-dependent use of the same button (it switches ON by pressing thebutton briefly, it dims by pressing the button longer) there can be operating errors.

Usage Example:A 3-divisible seminar room, everysingle part can be separately usedas required, it can be used as partlycombined or grouped together as alarge room. Therefore there are separatelighting controls for every part andpartly combined controls or mastercontrols.

PUSHBUTTON DIMMER WSxxB + WTxxB

Applications example:

The 3 parts of a restaurant are variably dimmed, but the light intensity can also be adjusted together.3 pushbuttons dimmers WS xxB are being used, every device is individually controlled through 1-pushbutton,the combined control through 2-pushbuttons is done seperately.

Pushbutton dimmers are dimmer devices with an integrated pushbutton control electronic. The pushbuttondimmers WS 13, WS 20 as well as WT 08 and WT 12 (trailing edge dimmer) have in the group dimmableversion (additional "B" at type number) an extra ON/BRIGHTER and OFF/DARKER control connection.Parallel to the 1-button control, it is then possible to have a clear function: by pressing the button ON/BRIGHTER briefly it switches ON, nothing will happen if it was already switched ON. By pressing longer itdimms BRIGHTER up to full brightness, if it was switched OFF, the last light level stored will retrieve again, and can be dimmed. The same applies for the connection OFF/DARKER.

B 12

The control devices transform the button commands in corresponding functions and control either anydimmer or 10V dimmable electronic ballasts and transformers. NT 12B is for modular installations, the typeKT 1BE is a lighting fixture installations device. These devices correspond with the above described pushbutton dimmers, but the ON/OFF-Function is donewith a relay which enables separation from the mains. The transition time can be set on type NT 12B at ca.1-20 sec., but is not synchronized by grouped/combined devices, the transition time for type KT 1BE is fixedat ca. 3,5 sec..

CONTROL DEVICES NT 12B / KT 1BE WITH 1 and/or 2 PUSHBUTTON CONTROL

By grouping the ON/BRIGHTER and OFF/DARKER connections of several devices, it allows master as wellas group functions without an additional switch, the 1-button function of the devices (the single function) canstill be used unchanged.

With only 2-poles switching variable groups can be formed, the groups and subgroups can be changed anytime to the needs. Even complicated and variable group switching is possible with minimal effort.

The trailing edge dimmers offer the same functions as leading edge dimmers and can be controlled like anyother dimmers through potentiometers, pushbutton control devices etc. etc.

These devices should be used specially when dimming is not possible through a leading edge dimmer, because they produce more loss-heat as leading edge dimmers. Specially for higher loads and thereforemore units in one installation, the effort for cooling have to be considered carefully.

For most electronic transformers for halogen lamps, trailing edge dimmers (phase control) are necessary fordimming.

DIMMERS CAPACITY LOAD

In principle all dimmers can be constanly operated at its maximum load, however it is necessary to avoidlonger thermal overload (see the above section). It also have to be considered that the allowable capacity load is based on the type of the load, the loadfactor 1 is only given on 230V- incandescent lamps.

The allowable loads for dimmers are:

1) incandescent lamps (not low voltage) 100%2) fluorescent lamps with conventional ballasts 40%3) fluorescent lamps with eletronis ballasts 90%4) low voltage halogen lamps (through transformers) 90%5) 230V LEDs (Retrofit LEDs) about 40% **

** It have to be considered that the inrush current of LEDs is very high. The LED manufacturers advices tooverdimension the dimmer 5-10 times (very different advices from different manufacturers). Our dimmers can take high overload for short time, so a dimmer WU13 (1300W) is enough for load of LEDswith up to 400-500W.

At installing of dimmers have to be considered that thedevices are producing loss-heat. For leading edge dimmersit is about 1,3% and for trailing edge dimmers it is about2,5% of the controlled power. The indicated maximumdimmer load is for surrounding temperature of 35ºC,therefore the allowable load highly descends attemperatures more than 35ºC (see diagramm!). In smallconstruction units (modular installations devices / DINrail) and various devices installed in a covered distributioncabinet, the surrounding temperature can easily come toimproper operation conditions. Enough ventilation andproper arrangement of the devices are thereforenecessary, e.g. mounting 2 devices in full capacityshould not be done too close to each other, specially thedevice underneath will heat the upper device additionallyand therefore produce a thermal overload. The moredevices located at the distribution cabinet the morethermal problems may occur, therefore special attentionis needed to avoid problems and early failure of devices.

TROUBLE SHOOTING OF LIGHTING CONTROL INSTALLATIONS

5) Control range is too little: MIN and /or MAX setting of the dimmer device is probably wrong adjusted !Depending on the control type used (potentiometer, push-button control, other device etc.) the control rangeof the dimmer should be adjusted to the control signal (see adjustment instructions of the dimmer). On potentiometer control: is the potentiometer properly connected ?Does it have the right OHM-value (25 K) ?

4) Lamps flicker: on incandescent lamps: if all incandescent lamps on a circuit flickers permanently andcan not be completely controlled up or down, the device must be replaced.Lamps flicker at some levels only: Is the load within the correct minimum and maximum range ? At use oftransformers: are electronic transformers used with leading edge dimmers, or magnetic transformers withfalling edge dimmers ?? (both will destroy the dimmer !!)

3) Lamps are only full illuminated: if all lamps on a multi-phase installation are only full illuminated, itcan be assumed that the defect in not onthe dimmers. On a single-phase device: Test, if an incandescent lamp 60-100W is still full illuminated after disconnectingthe neutral wire. If yes, then the dimmer is defective (most probably the thyristor).Potentiometer-Control: is the potentiometer properly connected ?Push-button Control: is it properly connected ?

2) Lamps remain dark: If all lamps remain dark in a 3-phase installation, it can be assumed that the defectis not in the dimmers. Is the mains voltage at the entry of the dimmer(s) available ?Check the fuse and the terminal connections !Check the control part: is the potentiometer correctly connected ? / is the push-button control connected tothe mains ?On push-button control: is the push-button control device supplying a changing voltage ca. 1 - 10 V= at itsoutput? If only a single dimmer is not functioning: make a short contact on connection L and 10; if the lamps turnsON, the dimmer must be replaced, if the lamps stay OFF/dark, there is an interruption at the installation inthis circuit.

1) Before startingVery Important: Please check before connecting the lighting installations to the devices if theinstallation is correctly wired and free from short circuit or ground circuit. For that the lighting installation should be directly connected to the mains and the function of all individuallights must be checked. For 3-phase installations, the 3 phases should be tested individually (check if onlythe affiliated lights are responding) and then all 3 phases together. If all lights are fully ON and no fuse orcircuit breaker falls, it can be called an error-free installation. Only after these short tests should thedimmers and control devices be connected to the installation.

These modules are used in systems for light-scenes to integrate switchingfunctions into the presets (e.g. a fan can be switched ON at preset 3 or ablind can be closed at preset 2 a.s.o). The items can store up to 8 presets(On or Off) and are fully compatible with our dimming controls for lightscenes (only exception: device STD).

For ON-OFF switching of any load, a twin relay-module is available with the following functions. Bothrelays are separately accessible (modular installation, width 70mm):

1) 1-pushbutton function, every push switches alternately ON and OFF

MODULES WITH SWITCHING FUNCTION RELX2-K77

Other switching-modules and switch-modules with special functions like time-switches as well asmatrix-modules for group switching are available or made to order to specific needs.

As supplement to our system-modules for lighting control we offer various modules for controlling of blinds, screens and any other switch functions. These modules are fully integrated in our whole systems and can becontrolled through pushbutton panels and remote controls.

MODULES WITH PUSH-BUTTON FUNCTION REL4-K77

Switching Modules

These Relay-modules are available for modular installation (width 70mm)with 2, 3 and 4 relay outputs, max. 10A switching capacity. It serves forcontrolling of blinds, screens and any other switching functions. Also relay-modules for modular installation (width 70mm) with up to 6pushbutton functions 1A are available, as well as relay-modules with up to30 pushbutton functions 1A for DIN-rail installation.

2) 2-pushbutton function, button ON switches only ON, button OFF switches only OFF, repeatedly operating the same function is without effect

3) Function ALL-ON: through this button all connected relays switches ON, relays which are already ON remain unchanged.

WIRING >> F17

REL-BVWidth 70mm

Width 70mm

4) Function ALL-OFF: through this button all connected relays switches OFF, relays which are already OFF remain unchanged.

All 4 functions can be used independently from eachother, for example a relay can be used with the 1-pushbutton function as well as with the ALL-ON and ALL-OFF functions at the same time.

In connection with our Pushbutton-Dimmers and control devices NTxx, it allows in addition to brightness-control circuits also simply switched light circuits and any other switched items to be used for forming groupsthat can be switched together without hindering their individual functions.

MODULES WITH SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

Control BRIGHT - STOP - DARK - PRESET 1+2 - ON/OFF

CONTROL DEVICE NT 38/2 (E) with 2 PRESETSControl BRIGHTER-DARKER-ON/OFF and 2 daylight-dependent automatic controlpresets, with logic function

Special version of the control device NT 38 (Functions: BRIGHTER-DARKER-ON/OFF-Constant Light Control) with 2 independent selectable constant light values.Application: if rooms will be used differently, however corresponding presettedbrightness should be kept constant.

C 8

After more than 30 years working with lighting control devices we have different special versions of ourstandard devices and project orientated special developements for various demands available. If you needa special lighting system function, maybe we already have the solution for it from earlier projects.

The following are some examples of special functions:

Function: This device has 2 registration-inputs A+B (230V), bothretrieve light value 1 (normally brightness 80-90%) by activating. InputA serves for motion detectors and retrieves by activating light value 1(bright), de-activating sets light value 2 (for instance 20%) after themotion detectors delay time. Input B serves for barrier detectors orsimilar and has an adjustable switch back delay time (ca. 1-15 min.).Activation of one of the inputs calls light value 1, value 2 is called onlyafter all connected detectors have been de-activated (including delaytime). Both inputs are locked against the other, so light value 2 will beretrieved only if both inputs are inactive and the delay time of B is over. That way it is secured that the light value 2 (low brightness) can only becalled if no motion detector is active, as well as the delay time of thebarrier detector/switch is over.

WIREL2With 70mm

This device was specially developed for logic control of lighting control device NT42(E) and used forgarage areas with a motion detector and gate-barrier, it can be used anywhere for retrieving differentlight values when motion detectors and other command givers are used to call 2 different light situations, for instance 80% if somebody is in, 10% if nobody is in.

CONTROL DEVICE WIREL2

CONTROL DEVICE NT 42(E) with longer transfer timeControl BRIGHT - STOP - DARK - PRESET 1+2 - ON/OFFFunctions: Regular NT 42 functions: BRIGHT-DARK-STOP-PRESET 1-PRESET 2-ON/OFF, however with longer transition times.Three (3) variants are available: Transition time max. ca. 10 min., 30 min., 120 min.Application: for instance artificial dawning for animal breeding, research laboratory, henhouses and similar.
