Mrs. Benton’s Class Proposal

Mrs. Benton’s class is proposing to repaint the 3rd grade – 4th grade basketball court. We have been working hard to achieve this.

One of the reasons we need lines is because people say they shot a three pointer when they didn’t. It makes a big fight that goes on for awhile and wastes our playground time and we don’t like that.

If we had a four square court it would help us fight less. Even in four square there is fighting and people start to make up rules.

These problems waste our time and it is not fun when it happens. Then we don’t look forward to having playground the next day.

Paint for Black Tops

The paint has to be exterior latex-based.

The color should be black, red, yellow, or blue.

We need to add three point lines.

We will need latex-lite 2-gal, optimum driveway resvfacer paint

The Playground is Dirty

The playground is dirTy.we chose This problem because:

1.) we wanT The play ground To represenT our school well .

2.) The playground is dirTy and does noT look good.

Too Many People AreLittering!

• Reasons why we need more trash cans• People can’t seem to find the trashcans.• When people can’t find trashcans they litter.• When people litter the playground isn’t pretty.

• We can fix this by…• Putting trash cans in better locations.• Like on the basketball court by the entrance.• We could put one close to the play area.

Remember don’t litter!!!!

Pricing of Trash Containers• We would attach the trash containers to the

fence with bungee cords• Heavy Duty Trash Containers can be as low as

Equipment Problems!!!

• Problem- The basketballs get stuck in the nets when we shoot

• Problem- Some goals do not have rims• Problem- The equipment is falling apart• Problem- There are no tetherballs on

the poles• Problem- Some classes are loosing their

balls

WE NEED NEW NETS,TETHER BALLS,

BASKETBALLS, SOCCER BALLS, AND FOUR SQUARE BALLS.

STORAGE PROBLEMS Here are some problems about storage.

People are complaining about balls being lost or stolen.

People forget to bring containers out so we don’t have anything to play with.

I hope these problems will be solved soon!!!!!

WE NEED A STORAGE B IN, AND SOME BUNGEE CORDS ,

The total is $76.00

How long will it take?• If we switch recess and lunch to tape and

paint and pack up early and paint during carpool 1 and 2.

• We can do 50 minutes a day so then taping will take one day and painting will take 3 days and will dry overnight so it will take 4 days with a total of 3 hours and 20 minutes.

The overall price is about$198.82

We are planning to do the following because we can’t afford

that much money:1.Have a bake sale

2.Get a boy scout to make a bench3.Take donations

4. Use leftover paint from other projects
