Achievements• The start-up was in 1987 with South for Construction (SFC) – a
Lebanese contracting company that deals with roads, infrastructure and marine works, as well as construction for public and private facilities.
• MISC was founded in 1995 and was specialized in infrastructure and roads’ maintenance and rehabilitation.
• In 2000 came Geovision where we expanded our scope of work to cover Geographical Information System (GIS) and tracking softwares.
• 2014 – E-Power and Services was the most recent addition; it specializes in providing all Electric utility services.

• SFC was established in 1986, and in no time, was classified as class A contractor by the Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Public Woks and Transportation, Ministry of Power and Water, the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) among others.
• Since then, SFC was engaged in several contracts in Lebanon covering infrastructure, construction and paving of roads, building construction and rehabilitation, marine works, upgrading and maintenance of infrastructure, construction of Aquapark and construction & maintenance works at Beirut International Airport.

MISCGeneral overview
• At the end of the war, the Lebanese government, represented by CDR, launched many projects for the rehabilitation and maintenance of the infrastructures and public services within the framework of the National Reconstruction plan.
• In 1995, South for Construction was awarded the first contract for the maintenance and rehabilitation of sewage and storm water drainage networks. To be able to satisfy the market needs, SFC established MISC – specialized in the infrastructure and road maintenance and rehabilitation.
• MISC owns a modern fleet of road and sewage maintenance equipments in addition to video and electronic network scanning equipments.
• MISC personnel are undergoing training for handling network repair and equipment that can be operated and controlled by mean of remote controllers.
• MISC is also responsible of keeping the main and service roads open during storms.

In a new approach toward regionalization, Our first contract was awarded in Dubai starting in the field of airport maintenance services.
Our services extended to other airports in the UAE such Sharjah, Fujairah, Bahrain through the airport services maintenance as well as introducing the services of Project Management
MISC is still improving its’ efforts to promote services through municipalities and airports.
MISCGeneral overview
With the diversified types of contracts on hand, the company provides specialty services at Beirut, Bahrain, Fujairah and Sharjah International airports.
Our services:Field maintenance covers outdoor facility maintenance in order to provide safe aircraft movement surfaces on the Air Operations Area.It includes maintaining runways, taxiways and interlines including Foreign Object Control and De-Rubberizing. It also includes maintenance to infrastructure systems supporting drainage of ramps and taxiways and grounds up-keeping and maintenance for appearance and alleviation of hazards.
Field Maintenance also covers removals and containment of hazardous materials spills (Bay Cleaning- occurring at or around bay areas), generated during ground vehicle maintenance, aircraft cleaning, fueling operations, aircraft maintenance and repair work, and engine test cell operations.
MISC has adopted an engineered an environmentally sound Airfield & Apron Management & Cleaning process that will reduce pavement reconditioning costs, down time, repair costs, and at the same time decrease airport liability. This process is distinctive in:
•Its restoration of pavement friction with no damage to the existing pavement•Preventing damage to runway painted markings, joint seals, crack sealant•Does not result in loss of pavement texture•Non-hazardous to personnel and environment•Complies with FAA standards

E-Power & Services(EPS)
• Started in 2014 – after Electricite du Liban decided to use the services of subcontractors.• South for Construction handles the construction works with a total value of 15,000,000
American dollars and a duration of 12 months.• Total value of the project is 53,145,453.26 American dollars.
EPS – General overview
• Electricity du Liban (EDL) has awarded several contracts to upgrade and maintain the electricity grid in Lebanon. The objective of the project is to reduce losses on the distribution network, eliminate illegal connections, improve collection, upgrade the actual grid and improve the services provided to customers.
• EPS, being an experienced company in the electric utility services, was awarded a contract to fulfill the above requirements in zone 15.
• EPS services more than 122,000 customers.• The project is scheduled to be completed in 54 months. • EPS staff consists of a team of dedicated professional project managers, engineers,
technicians, administrators and clerks.

EPS – General overview
• Since its’ inception, EPS’s core business has been to ensure high level of customer service in the distribution of electricity. This is achieved through planning, developing, maintaining and operating the electricity distribution system and managing the key interface form from the transmission network.
• This covers servicing current demand and building the required infrastructure to be prepared to meet future demand.
• EPS has to reliably, safely and less costly distribute electricity to residential, business, agricultural and governmental consumers whilst minimizing and mitigating environmental impacts.
• EPS manages customers’ interface invoicing and payment collection.

GIS is a tool for managing data about where features are (geographic coordinate data) and what they are like (attribute data), in addition to providing the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze this data.
• Enterprise Automated Vehicle Tracking (AVL) AVL, or Automated Vehicle Location, is the remote determination of vehicle
position and travel information (heading, speed, etc..), giving the ability to monitor a fleet of vehicles from a distance.
