poem poem she looked to the sky and saw only him and she thought i could die now someone was sitting on the swing in the park and there was melted ice cream on the floor it reminded her of his hands then the clouds covered the sun and the grass was cold like the way he looked at her when she wasn’t all dolled up sometimes she wished she could forget the way he smelled she woke up from a nightmare and realised that all her nightmares were about him and his perfect eyes and golden voice and she knew that her love was broken and metal in the shower she thought of the times he kissed her and the times he made her feel like the smallest person in the world and she tasted blood and salt the branches of trees were the veins on his wrists she reached out and snapped each and every one of them
