Analog Noise Tool provides unique information to identify a variety of downhole flow scenarios. Small changes in flow can be difficult to isolate with traditional flow meters and temperature probes. The By capturing the noise created by cavitating fluid or bubbling gases the Analog Noise Tool locates where fluid is moving through even the smallest openings. The DataCan Analog Noise Tool can be used as a stand-alone logging tool or combined with additional sensor via the e-line pass thru.

Digital Noise Tool

Description

• Operate with the Telemetry or Memory systems• Real time data to surface when used with Telemetry• Filtered data• Corrosion resistant Inconel construction• Selectable fixed gain amplifier

Much like the Analog version, the Digital Noise Tool records sound created by moving fluids. The Digital Noise Tool is designed to work with either the Telemetry or Memory logging tools from Lee Specialties.

The Digital Noise Tool is available in two configurations: Single Channel or Dual Channel. The Dual Channel Digital Noise Tool has two acoustic sensor spaced out in a fashion to allow the user to determine the direction from which the recorded sound is originating. This feature is especially useful in minimizing the time spent locating areas of interest.

Memory Adaptor Tool

Description

The Memory Adaptor Tool stores data within its internal memory. A casing collar locator (CCL) is contained in the adaptor, a separate Gamma Ray Tool is recommended for operation. The MAT tool uses a lithium battery pack as its power source.

Telemetry

Description

The Lee Specialties Telemetry is generally wireline deployed, providing real-time data from the well to the acquisition system. The Telemetry can multiplex up to 16 digital channels of data. Included in the Telemetry are a casing collar locator (CCL) and a gamma ray detector. The telemetry’s bottom sub contains a multi-pin connector that permits communication with a variety of production logging tools.

Gamma RayDescription

The Gamma Ray Tool detects naturally occuring and artificially induced gamma ray radiation. The Gamma Ray is used to correlate well lithography.

Gamma Ray Tools are useful in recording induced radiation, such as tracer logging to determine fluid movement by tracing radioactive iodine ejected into wellbores.

Gradiomanometer

DescriptionThe Gradiomanometer is a non-radioactive device that derives fluid density in a well. A high-resolution transducer measures differential pressure over the length of a 24-inch column of fluid. Density is derived from the hydrostatic pressure generated over this column.

This tool is used to establish the density of fluids or gases in a well, primarily in production logging applications.

The Gradiomanometer is used with other tools in a tool string, and transmits its data to either the Telemetry Tool or the Memory Adapter tool (MAT).

Description

Pressure/Temperature/Flow (PTF) Sensor

Description

The high-resolution Pressure/Temperature/Flowmeter (PTF) tool is used to measure pressure, temperature, and fluid velocity in a wellbore.

The tool transmits data from the transducer (pressure and internal temperature) serially to a telemetry tool, which transfers data to a surface acquisition system, or to a memory adapter, which stores data within internal memory.

Fullbore Spinner

Description

The Fullbore Spinner is a versatile and reliable fluid velocity measurement tool that incorporates a collapsible impeller that allows the spinner to be run through tubing and expand into a large diameter casing. Inline FlowmeterThe Inline Flowmeter contains an electrical through-connection allowing its placement anywhere in a tool string. When operated in combination with a fullbore flowmeter, the inline flowmeter allows for production profiling in tubing and casing on a single logging run. It may also be used as a backup flowmeter for horizontal well logging where the fullbore spinner may be restricted by debris in the well. This flowmeter performs in all well orientations.

The spinner is mounted to precision roller bearings. Rotation detection is through zero drag hall effect devices, giving very low threshold and optimizing low flow measurement. Description

The Flow Tool works in conjunction with Lee Specialties continuous or fullbore flowmeters to measure flow in a wellbore.

The tool transmits frequencies from the flowrate sensors to a telemetry tool, which transfers data to a surface acquisition system, or to a memory adapter, which stores data within internal memory.

Temperature

Description

The Temperature Tool measures temperature in a wellbore.

The Temperature Tool transmits a frequency based on the measurement of a RTD (Resitive Temperature Device) to a telemetry tool, which transfers data to a surface acquisition system, or to a memory adapter, which stores data within internal memory.

RA Density

Description

The RA Density Tool uses low energy gamma rays to determine the downhole fluid density during a production log. The tool provides consistent and reliable measurement in deviated and horizontal wells while remaining unaffected by flow rates.

Gamma rays are emitted from a radioactive source at one end of the measuring cell and are detected at the opposite end by a scintillation detector and photomultiplier.

Dual Gamma Ray

Description

The Dual Gamma Ray Tool employs two sensitive iodide sodium scintillation crystals and two photomultiplier tubes to detect gamma ray radiation. Use the tool to correlate to the surrounding lithology of the well.

3-Sensor Caliper

The Three-Sensor Caliper is a downhole, production logging tool used to measure the inside diameter of a wellbore. Three sensors, connected to three equally spaced arms, measure the diameter of the well. These measurements allow operators to gather information regarding the condition of the well. Data from the tool indicates the presence and inside diameter of restrictions or out-of-round conditions in a wellbore.

The tool is designed to pass from a large diameter to a smaller diameter while logging down. It can also log up to a small diameter restriction without locking up the arms.

Roller Centralizer

The Roller Centralizer is a mechanical device that centralizes a tool string while it is run in or out of the wellbore. Carbide rollers on the contact points prevent wear on the arms as they expand and contract to fit the wellbore.

Linewise System©

Description

The Linewise System is a basic acquisition system comprised of hardware and software that records and displays simple process measurements. Examples of these include: depth, line tension, pressure, temperature, and flow. It can measure four analog voltages, four frequency inputs, and depth counter input. The Linewise System can interface with the Lee Specialties DRS Panel, the Magnetic Mark Detector System, and the Winch Shutdown Control System in this catalogue.

Linewise Software

Description

The Linewise Software package is a set of applications that allows the operator to display various surface process measurements while carrying out wireline operations on slickline or electric line. The software will record this information, providing the operator with the option of graphing the data. Examples of commonly recorded process measurements include: wireline depth, speed, line tension, and wellhead pressure.
