WIP Taipei Interventional Pain WorkshopWelcome Letter

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

This is the beginning of a new era for WIP in east Asia!

It is indeed a great honor and privilege to welcome you to WIP Taipei Interventional Pain Workshop and First East-Asian FIPP/CIPS Examination at National Taiwan University, College of Medicine.

This workshop aims to provide advanced educational and training pro-gram of excellence in interventional pain practice that is synonymous with WIP. It covers key topics of interventional pain procedures and fea-tures general lectures, ultrasound workshop with life demonstration and fluoroscopic cadaver workshop as well as the FIPP/CIPS examination.

Pain relief remains a global unmet medical need and becomes increas-ingly crucial in Asian countries. We strongly encourage all pain clinicians and practitioners in Asia and also the rest of the world to join us.

Ever since the inception of the 1st East Asian WIP Educational workshop in Taipei, Taiwan, we were proudest to confer a personal Philanthropic Philosophy to the project, that fortunately was followed by the represen-tatives of Taiwan Pain Society and National Taiwan University, College of Medicine with the enthusiastic support of Prof. Chih-Peng Lin and the members of WIP - Taiwan section.

Hopefully the academic success of this first edition will permit us to generate grants and funds for successive editions in order to promote attendance from less developed Asian countries as a continuation of the founding spirit.

We wish you a very nice stay!
