External Fuse and Relay Center (EFRC)

The vehicle's instrumentation, gauges and other electricallycontrolled parts are wired through the Fuse and Relay Cen-ter (FRC) and the External Fuse and Relay Center (EFRC).

The FRC is located in the center of the dash, just above theengine cover and the EFRC is mounted to the bulk head inthe engine compartmentnear the steering column.

The EFRC contains fuses and relays that provide power tothe Engine Management System (EMS) and the Aftertreat-ment System.

Located just below the in dash FRC panel are the followingmodules: Vehicle ECU/Bodybuilder module, Light ControlModule Central Locking Module.

Refer to the decal inside the FRC and the EFRC cover or tothe molded cover for vehicle's exact fuse locations and rat-ings. (Note that all fuses and relays may not be used inevery vehicle.)

The FRC and EFRC panel's can include mini-fuses, relaysand micro-relays. The micro ISO relays are smaller in sizethan conventional relays, and the pin arrangement is differ-ent. Mini-fuses are also smaller in size, but the current ratingis the same as ATO-size fuses.
