En el Mediterráneo ha sido muy frecuente el uso de hormigón dentro de los puertos como base de amarre deembarcaciones. Estas estructuras pesadas y rígidas han resultado ser poco resistentes con el paso de losaños. En el Atlántico, debido a las fuertes mareas, se han desarrollado pantalanes más ligeros (aluminio/madera tratada) y flexibles, como puntos de amarre.

En la actualidad se está comprobando que aplicar la experiencia del Atlántico al Mediterráneo en el sentido deutilizar el pantalán de aluminio sobre zapatas de cemento o pilotes, es la mejor solución tanto para obrasnuevas como para sustitución de pantalanes de hormigón deteriorados.

¿POR QUÉ RECOMENDAMOS EL PANTALÁN LIGERO (ALUMINIO/MADERA) FRENTE AL PESADO (HORMIGÓN)?:

POR ECONOMÍA- Fácil y rápida instalación.- El coste de la obra es mucho menor. Por otra parte, si con el

paso de los años es necesario sustituir algún módulo, su coste es muy inferior al de retirar el pesado pantalán de hormigón.

- Posible desinstalación ( permite cubrir necesidades estacionales).- Mayor durabilidad, fácil mantenimiento.

POR ECOLOGÍA- Frente a las pesadas estructuras de hormigón, el pantalán de

aluminio se presenta como más amable con el medio ambiente.- Los pantalanes de aluminio permiten realizar pequeñas obras

adaptándolas al entorno sin modificarlo.- En los pantalanes de aluminio todas las canalizaciones: agua,

luz, aguas negras.., tienen fácil acceso, lo que permite su revisión periódica, evitando fugas.

In the Mediterranean it has been common practice, until recently, to buildmarina pontoons in concrete set on the seabed. This has resulted in heavy and rigid structures that havenot proven resistant to the passing years. In contrast the large tides and swells of the Atlantic forced the use oflighter and more flexible marina structures in those waters.

At the moment the industry is looking into using the Atlantic experience in the Mediterranean, using lighterAluminium fingers on concrete foundations or piles. This is an excellent solution both for new marinas and forreplacing older deteriorating concrete marinas in the Mediterranean.

PANTALÁNElemento flotante básico en una marina cuya función estanto el tránsito de personas como el amarre de embar-caciones. Las longitudes estándar son de 6,00 y 12,00 maunque es posible la fabricación de otras dimensiones.Los anchos varían desde 1,00 a 3,00 m para módulossimples. Es posible llegar a anchos mayores mediantemódulos combinados (hasta 9,00 m).

Están fabricados en estructura de perfilería de aleación dealuminio 6005 A en estado T6, soldada bajo gas neutroargón.

El piso está formado por tablas de madera tratada de altadensidad con ranurado antiderrapante.

PONTOONThe pontoon is the basic unit of a marina, acting both asa walkway for people and as a mooring point for yachts.The standard lengths are 6 metres and 12 metres, althoughother lengths can be made on request. For single unitsthe width can vary between 1 and 3 metres. The system’smodularity allows assembly of combined units up to amaximum of 9 metres wide.

Manufactured in a profiled structure of aluminium alloy 6005A-T6, welded in an argon gas atmosphere.

The walkway of the pontoon consists of pressure treatedhardwood planks. The planks are grooved for antislip.

PASARELASElemento de acceso desde tierra a la plataforma flotante.Su longitud varía en función de la luz que sea necesariasalvar y de la carrera de marea o desniveles de la láminade agua existentes. El ancho estándar según el tránsitopara el que está diseñada varía entre 1,00 y 2,00 m.Consulte con la oficina técnica para otras medidas.

ACCESS GANGWAYSThe access gangways connect the land with the floatingpontoons.Their length can vary depending on the differencebetween high and low tide levels. The width can bechosen depending on traffic estimates and will normallybe between 1 and 2 metres. Contact our technicaldepartment for further details.

The gangways are manufactured in the same way as thepontoons, with profiles of aluminium alloy 6005 A-T6,welded in an argon gas atmosphere.

The gangway railings are built and welded with the samematerials. The railings strengthen the entire structure aswell as serving as a handrail.

FINGERS / BRAZOS DE AMARREElemento flotante anclado al pantalán que permite elamarre de embarcaciones facilitando las maniobras deembarque y desembarque, tanto de personas como deobjetos. En función de las dimensiones de la plaza deamarre existe una gran variedad de fingers cuya longitudpuede oscilar desde los 4,00 m hasta los 12,00 m siendoincluso posible unir módulos longitudinalmente para con-seguir mayores dimensiones. Los anchos de paso varíandesde los 0,30 m (no transitables) hasta 1,00 m.

Los fingers están construídos con los mismos materialesque los pantalanes, tanto el aluminio como madera tratadao sintética.

FINGERSThe fingers are fixed to the main pontoon, allowing easiermooring and boarding for yachts and crew. The length ofthe finger can vary between 4 and 12 meter dependingon the size of the berth and the width varies between 0.3 and1 meter. Due to its modular structure different dimensionscan be made on request.

TORRETA PARA SUMINISTRO DE ELECTRICIDAD Y DE AGUALa entrada en vigor del nuevo Reglamento Electrotécnicopara Baja Tensión (RBT) en septiembre de 2003, ha obliga-do a adaptar las torretas de suministro a la nueva instruc-ción técnica complementaria (Instalaciones eléctricas enpuertos y marinas para barcos de recreo).

La parte eléctrica incorpora un cuadro fabricado con unpolímero que ofrece una gran resistencia a los agentesquímicos (agua, solución salina, ácidos base y aceitesminerales) y atmosféricos, muy a tener en cuenta por lasituación donde desarrolla su función.

La instalación de agua se realiza mediante el sistemaAriete25 fabricado en PP (polipropileno) copolímeroRandom de alta calidad y resistencia. Las uniones deeste sistema entre tubos y racores está consideradocomo el sistema más avanzado y fiable en el campo delas instalaciones hidrosanitarias.

Disponemos de sistemas de control de acceso y consumospara optimizar la gestión de su puerto deportivo.

ELECTRICITY AND WATER SERVICE MODULESIn September 2003 new legislation on electricity and watersupplies on marinas came into force. All our installations areequipped with water and electricity units that comply fullywith this legislation.

The service module’s electrical unit is built of a polymerthat is highly resistant to all the corrosive agents that arefound in the marina environment (water, salt, acids,mineral oils, UV, etc.).

The water system in the service module is made with aproprietary system of high quality and with a highlyresistant polypropylene material. The connections usedin this construction are considered the most advancedand reliable on the market.

FLOTACIÓN POLIÉSTERFlotadores fabricados en poliéster reforzado con fibrade vidrio, relleno de poliestireno expandido de 12/15kg/m3 de densidad, lo que garantiza su flotabilidad encaso de rotura.

En poliéster disponemos de una amplia gama de moldespara adaptarnos a cualquier medida de pantalán orequerimientos de flotación. A continuación detallamoslos diferentes tipos con sus medidas:

GRP FLOTATION UNITSFlotation units build of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic). Theinterior is filled with expanded polystyrene material with adensity of 12-15kg/m3, which guarantees its continuedbuoyancy even if the exterior shell gets damaged.

We have a large range of mouldings, which enables usto produce practically any size of float for any kind ofpontoon or other type of floating structure. Underneathare some of the different types and their measures:

FLOTACIÓN DE HORMIGÓNEstos flotadores están formados de un recubrimientoexterior de hormigón debidamente armado y un núcleointerno de poliestireno expandido de alta densidad. Estacombinación garantiza una mayor estabilidad en los pan-talanes debido a la gran inercia que aporta al conjuntosu peso, sin que ello perjudique la flotabilidad aportadapor el núcleo interno de poliestireno. El anclaje al panta-lán se realiza mediante tornillería de acero inoxidableembebida en el propio hormigón de los flotadores

Los tipos de flotadores de hormigón son de dimensiones2,9 x 2,35 x 0,66 m para los pantalanes de 2,5 y 3 m deancho y de 2,35 x 1,90 x 0,66 m para los pantalanes de2 y 2,5 m. Disponemos de flotadores especiales congran francobordo para amarre de megayates.

CONCRETE FLOTATION UNITSThese larger floats are built with an external hull of reinforcedconcrete and filled with high density expanded polystyrene.This combination of materials guarantees that theselarge floats have the great stability and inertia that is neededfor the main walkways, while still maintaining the reliablebuoyancy of their polystyrene core. The floats are securelyfixed to the walkway using stainless steel fittings that areembedded into the concrete of the float itself.

The concrete floats are available in two sizes, dependingon the width of the pontoon. For pontoons of 2-2.5 m.width the float is 2.35m x 1.9m x 0.66m. For the widerpontoons 2.5-3m wide the floats are 2.9m. x 2.35m. x 0.66m.We also have special floats with higher freeboard formegayacht moorings.

POLYETHYLENE FLOTATION UNITSThe R&D department at RONÁUTICA MARINAS isdeveloping new polyethylene flotation units. The introductionof these new materials is being done in close co-operationwith the technical universities of Vigo and La Coruña.The arrival of these flotation units onto the market willprovide a product that is superior in quality and finish tothe options currently available.

ANCLAJES PARA PANTALANESPILOTESConsiste en la hinca de tubería de acero en el fondomarino, a la que su une el pantalán mediante anillas.

La tubería utilizada, recibe un tratamiento contra la corrosiónconsistente en la aplicación de 200 micras de pintura epoxi,previo chorreado de la superficie hasta el grado SA-2.

Las anillas que fijan el pantalán abrazando la tubería,están construidas con perfilería de aleación de aluminio6005 A en estado T6, y está dotadas de 3 ó 4 rodillos decaucho vulcanizado que se deslizan sobre la superficiedel pilote, y van fijadas al pantalán mediante tornilleríade acero inoxidable.

PONTOON ANCHORING PRODUCTSANCHOR PILESConsists of a large iron pipe fixed in the seabed, to whichthe pontoon is fixed with guide rings.

The pipe, or tubing, used is carefully treated to avoidcorrosion, with a 200 micron coating of epoxy paintapplied to the surface, previously sandblasted to SA-2.

The guide rings, which are fixed to the pontoon andsurround the pile, are made of the same aluminium 6005A-T6 profiles as the pontoons, and are equipped with 3or 4 vulcanized rubber rollers that run on the surface ofthe pile. The guide rings are fixed to the pontoon usingstainless steel fittings.

VIGAS CARRIL HEBColumna en acero galvanizado en caliente anclada amuelle que se utiliza como guía en las subidas y bajadasde la lámina de agua para aquellos pantalanes que seinstalan paralelos a un muelle.

Sobre estas vigas se deslizan unos carros solidarios alpantalán con 2 o 3 rodillos de nylon o neopreno quegarantizan el adecuado desplazamiento del conjunto.

LATERAL GUIDES (HEB)Our lateral guides consist of two parts: a hot-dip galvanizedsteel column fixed to the quay wall, acting as a guide asthe pontoon rises and falls on the tide, and a roller-unitfixed to the pontoon.

The roller-unit is equipped with 2 or 3 neoprene or nylonrollers to ensure easy movement along the column. Thissystem is used on pontoons that run along the side ofthe quay.

CADENAS Y FONDEOSEl anclaje mediante cadenas y fondeos consiste en lacolocación en el fondo de la marina de bloques de hormi-gón, a los que se une el pantalán mediante cadenas deacero. Tanto el bloque de hormigón como las cadenasserán de dimensiones adecuadas al pantalán que van aamarrar.

En el caso de anclaje de estructuras muy pesadas,como podrían ser pantalanes de hormigón, se colocanunos contrapesos también de hormigón para mejorar elfuncionamiento de la cadena en catenaria.

CHAINS AND ANCHORSThe conventional chain-anchoring system uses concretemooring blocks placed on the seabed, linked to thepontoon with conventional steel chain. Both the mooringblocks and the chain are dimensioned to suit the application.

If the anchored structure is very heavy, as if often thecase with concrete pontoons, concrete counterweightsare placed to ensure that the chain catenary workseffectively.

El producto está diseñado para el amarre de ingeniosflotantes, como pantalanes, muelles, rompeolas, boyasy embarcaciones. Desde las primeras instalaciones enel año 1.981 no ha habido necesidad de reposición pormotivos de fatiga, desgastes o envejecimiento.

La mayor parte de SEAFLEX® se compone de un cordón degoma, homogéneo y reforzado que puede alargarse hastael 100% de su longitud original manteniendo en todomomento la tensión sobre el pantalán. De esta manera seconsigue un mayor confort de uso en la marina en compa-ración con las instalaciones fondeadas con cadena.

THE SEAFLEX® MOORING SYSTEMThis product was designed to anchor all kinds of floatingstructures; pontoons, buoys, breakwaters and yachts. Dueto its unique features amazing durability and resistance tothe forces of nature has been achieved. The first Seaflexmaterial was installed in 1981 and is still in the water,doing its job.

The main part of SEAFLEX® is the reinforced homogeneousrubber hawser. This hawser can elongate more than100% its original length. The elongation enables SEAFLEX®

to take care of all natural, and almost all artificial, waterlevel fluctuations. Because of the damping effect of thematerial, pontoons anchored with Seaflex are morecomfortable compared to pontoons anchored with chains.

ROMPEOLAS FLOTANTE DE HORMIGÓNLos módulos rompeolas flotantes están fabricados enhormigón armado HA-40 autocompactable con armadurasB-500S. Tienen unas dimensiones estándar de 4 m deancho, 12 m de longitud y 1,90 m de puntal con un fran-cobordo aproximado de 0,60 m. Con un núcleo interno depoliestireno expandido de 15 Kg/m2, de forma que seasegura la flotabilidad del conjunto. El peso aproximadode cada módulo es de 40 tn.

El diseño de estos módulos rompeolas (dique de abrigoflotante) se realiza atendiendo a las condiciones oceano-gráficas, de tipo de fondo, vientos, etc. de cada zona.Consulte con nuestra oficina técnica para obtener el diseñomás adecuado según sus necesidades. Podrá proteger sumarina atenuando el oleaje mediante una instalaciónsencilla, ecológica y fácil de instalar.

FLOATING CONCRETE BREAKWATER STRUCTURESOur concrete (HA-40) breakwater pontoons, with steel(B-500S) reinforcement, are 4m wide, 10m long and 1.9 mhigh. When floating they have a freeboard of approximately0.6m. Inside the concrete shell is a core of expandedpolystyrene, with a density of 15 kg/m3, which ensuresthe buoyancy of the unit. Each unit weighs approximately37 tonnes.

The design of these breakwater structures is adapted tothe local conditions as every setting can be different inclimate, seabed and sealevel fluctuations.
