After the tremendous success of three award nights in a row of the Indian remanufacturing industry in New Delhi, the Fourth Imaging Solution Award 2013 was organized successfully in the Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Mumbai, on December 19th. The award-giving ceremony has attracted a congregation of more than three hundred guests cutting across verticals of the Remanufacturing industry, including Vendor, Corporate and Resellers across the nation and guests from overseas to celebrate the occasion.

The combined serial inkjet and page printer, copier and multifunction product (MFP) market in India totaled 861,212 units in the third quarter of 2013, a 13.2 percent increase from the third quarter of 2012, according to Gartner, Inc. Total end user spending declined 9 percent from the same period last year totaling USD $223.7 million. Both the monochrome and color markets posted increases of 12 percent and 28 percent.

“Indian organizations are still largely paper dr iven, but there is increasing importance of digitization and the need to access information anytime, anywhere. This represents an opportunity for print providers to expand their services into optimizing the document workflows that support business processes,” said Zalak Shah, research analyst at Gartner.

HP remained the market leader in the Indian printer; copier and MFP market (see Table 1), as its market share totaled 51.5 percent, followed by Canon with 21 percent and Epson with 9 percent share. Samsung Electronics accounted for 7 percent, while Ricoh accounted for 6 percent of the market in the third quarter of 2013.

The Page A4 MFP segment continued to grow in the third quarter of 2013 and increased 20 percent compared to the third quarter of 2012. HP continued to perform well in this segment, with a growth of 31.7 percent and a market share of 56.7 percent. Samsung again at No.2 grew slightly with its market share at 19 percent, Canon’s shipments increased by 33.4 percent, and it accounted for 12.8 percent of the market.

The Page A3 MFP segment showed a small increase of 2 percent compared to the third quarter of 2012. Canon again led

the market with 23.1 percent market share; while Ricoh was at No. 2 with 19.4 percent market share, followed by Konica Minolta with 19 percent share.

The page p r in te r marke t ove r a l l experienced a growth of 7.6 percent in the third quarter of 2013. The market leaders in this segment were HP with 47 percent market share, followed by Canon at 24 percent market share, and Ricoh with 16 percent market share. HP and Canon’s shipments declined 6 percent and 9 percent.

IDC: Cheaper Ink Cartridges Help OEMs Gain Share in Asia Pacific Ink Market

Singapore and Hong Kong, December 17, 2013 – IDC reports today that the printer consumable market in the Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) region declined 2.5% quarter on quarter and grew 0.1% year-on-year to reach US$1,701.24 million in Q3 2013.

IDC finds that on one hand, the printer consumable market is stable or declining in mature economies like Australia, Korea and Taiwan. On the other hand, credit crunch, low GDP growth and seasonal factors have affected consumable shipment in developing economies like India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Out of the total consumable market, third party brands contribute nearly US$364 million, which is approximately 21% of the total value. In emerging economies like India and the PRC, compatible or after-market brands contribute approximately 33% of the total consumable market in terms of value. However, in unit terms, share of compatible players is much higher and contribute approximately 60% of the total unit shipped on an overall basis.

“During the last year OEMs, primarily Epson and HP, have launched inkjet printers with economical cartridges, offering low cost of printing. As price difference between original ink cartridge and third party solution for these printers is low, these inkjet printers have helped OEMs to increase share of originals as a part of the overall ink cartridge market. In ASEAN markets these low-priced cartridges now contribute approximately 50% to the total shipment of Epson ink cartridges," says Pankaj Chawla, Research Manager for IPDS Research at IDC Asia/Pacific.

In such a scenario, third party vendors find the laser toner market more favorable to them. Unlike developed markets, like US and Europe, there are less legal hassles in Asia Pacific countries as most are low income countries and cost is a major concern for not only Small Medium Businesses (SMBs) but also for corporate.

In addition, the considerable price gap between OEM and Third party products catalyzes sales of third party products. Third party vendors have introduced new products like compatible toners and refillable toners with DIY kits. Even channel partners engaged in the business came up with offers like cost per print, cost per toner or other subscription-based customized solutions.

OEMs are also gearing up to increase their market. Some OEMs are launching Managed Printer Services (MPS) for SMBs to offer them low cost of printing. Ricoh has launched refillable toners while market leader HP has urged after-market players to respect OEM's intellectual property rights and not mislead and confuse customers.

Lexmark Introduces Enterprise Solutions in Indonesian Market

Lexmark solidified its hold as one of Indonesia’s leading MPS providers since 2006 by introducing its most recent product portfolio, which includes a combination of software, hardware, and integrated services, designed to respond to the needs of the Indonesian market.

At one of the American printer maker’s recent events, called “Redefining Solutions: Lexmark Print Management and eSF Applications” and held in Indonesia, the company revealed that it is launching a series of solutions for enterprises, which include insurance, healthcare, banking, manufacturing, retail businesses, and public sectors.

The said solutions involve a wide selection of mid to high-end products: monochrome and color laser multifunction printers for small to large workgroups and monochrome and color laser printers. These were on display at the said event.

One of the solutions that Lexmark has brought into the Indonesian market is Lexmark Distributed Intelligent Capture (LDIC), which is designed as an end-to-end banking workflow solution. LDIC lets customers scan documents, convert them to soft-copy formats, and send to Lexmark’s Document Distributor+, a server for the

company’s MFPs. LDIC allows users to classify documents

automatically and capture information not only through MFPs but also through mobile devices, emails, EDI, and databases. Aside from this, users can also collect and store data using back-end systems and share it at the point of capture.

Brainware is another Lexmark software solution, allowing users to clarify and extract data from hard-copy documents. Keywords, barcodes, and even templates are no longer necessary. This is because data extracted from hard copies undergo validation, after which they get passed to data management systems or ERP or any other type of financial system.

The said software can identify essential w o r d s i n a d o c u m e n t a n d p r o c e s s uncommon document layouts with a surprisingly high level of accuracy. As such, it shortens the processing time and reduces errors.

In case there is an error, such as unread text, an unmatched document, or a missing page, both Distributor+ and Brainware will send notifications to users so that they will be able to revise the errors. After this, the document being processed is then routed to a secure repository, indexed, and archived for

easy retrieval and access.Lee Lee Ken, Lexmark’s Asia-Pacific

general manager for Enterprise Sales and Services, revealed that the Kentucky-based company managed to maintain its considerable share in the market through "disruptive technologies," which involves cost-savings solutions like the optimization of existing infrastructure and devices, implementation of document solutions, and understanding various aspects of business processes, which in turn promotes efficiency and improves productivity in enterprises.

"Research tells us many companies spend 1 to 6 percent of its total annual revenue for photocopying and printing purposes. From our perspective, 1 percent is such an amount, let alone the paper itself," Ken revealed, referring to a joint study by Gartner and InfoTrends.

In place of business process management, Lexmark has offered its clients consultation services. If the customer is unsatisfied with the service after six months, they have the option of terminating the said service. However, the customer is required to shoulder a minimum charge.

Nubeprint announces its universal connector to ERPs

ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN. — Nubeprint announces a universal connector to customer’s ERPs available from December 2013.

Nubeprint, the MPS technology vendor known for the quality and superior performance of its tools for managed print services, has just announced the launch of a universal connector that links to the ERP of the customer. Ingram Unveils Game-Changing MPS

Ingram Micro Inc. launched its very own managed print service (MPS) that does not oblige customers to forge agreements with specific manufacturers. Called PrintSense, the company said that this new release will change the game in the printer market.

This is because under PrintSense, subscribers are allowed to take over a fleet using a cost-per-page scheme without being required to shell out a particular amount of money for refreshing hardware.

“We’ve identified that this revenue and profit stream has been difficult to lock down by the IT Reseller channel without extensively investing in infrastructure, therefore resellers are potentially missing out on opportunities. We have been developing this solution with our partners over the past 12 months and we are excited at the opportunities this will bring to the channel,” revealed Gemma Glen, Ingram’s head of category for print, peripherals and supplies.

“PrintSense uses Ingram Micro’s skills and scale to help our customers increase sales opportunities and, in turn, enable end-users to gain the peace-of-mind that their print requirements are constantly monitored by the most advanced fleet automation technology and a reliable engineering service,” she explained further.

Ingram is not the only one smiling at the introduction of this new offering. Kyocera, HP, Lexmark, Canon, Brother, Epson and Xerox are also among the others which found PrintSense worthy of their investment.

“Each reseller has a portal which monitors their end-users’ fleets in real time. Fuji Xerox Begins Operation of its New Manufacturing Company in Vietnam to Meet Increasing Global Demand

HAI PHONG, Vietnam, November 19, 2013 — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. today officially announced the opening of its new manufacturing company—Fuji Xerox Hai Phong Co., Ltd.—in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Located in the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park in Hai Phong with an investment of approximately nine billion yen, the 57,563m2 facility marks a major milestone for the company in Vietnam and will serve as a key manufacturing hub globally. Fuji Xerox Makes History with Printers Featuring Facial Recognition Technology

The Japanese printer maker’s newest product may very well be regarded as the embodiment of science fiction concepts with its facial recognition feature.

This year, the world will be introduced to a new breed of printers – the kind that can be activated by body heat and scan your face for recognition, which then concludes with the display of a personalized menu having a user interface that looks similar to those in smartphones.

“The human detection camera detects the movements of people around the multifunction device to determine whether one is going to use the device or simply passing by, whereas the facial recognition camera recognizes the face of the user standing in front of the device, making authentication simple and fast,” explained Fuji Xerox’s Hidetoshi Ohno, Office Group, Product Marketing, Global Products Sales and Marketing Manager.

“Once the function identifies the user, it recalls the user's personalized menu screen automatically, thereby improving user convenience significantly,” he continued.

This motion sensor technology is called Smart WelcomEyes Advance, which combines human detection technology with facial recognition technology. WelcomEyes Advance will be equipped in its new full-color digital multifunction models, such as those in the DocuCentre-V C series and those in the ApeosPort-V C line-up, which is designed for office use. The company will be launching 20 models in Asia Pacific.

Sources from Fuji Xerox reveal that these devices are the best in their class in quietness and only take 3.1 seconds to recover from sleep mode after a user has approached the device, which translates to zero waiting time. Previous manual-function models take 10 seconds to wake up.

Aside from these, the printers have a roomy 9-inch control panel with user-friendly menu screens and high-visibility icon-based buttons. Users can manipulate controls using simple "flick" and "drag" movements. Not only that, the machines can be turned off from other locations.

To customize menu screens to suit specific user requirements, users may install Easy UI Solution 2.0, which is a free add-on app that allows customization of menu screens.

Also, there is a ScanAuto feature only requires users to press the start button to start scanning – no need to go through complicated processes.

Ohno said that the the new models are incorporated with the Server-Less On-Demand Print function to reduce ownership costs.

"Users can print their documents from another multifunction device when the device which print instruction was initially sent to is in use. This reduces time to wait for document output and prevents unnecessary output, thereby contributing to the reduction of clients' total cost of ownership," he explained.

Ohno also discussed the energy-saving features of the new technologies: “The new models have adopted the proprietary Smart Energy

Management technology. The technology contributes to reducing power consumption and CO2 emission by distributing power only to the device sections (the auto duplex scanning unit, control panel, output unit or controller) needed depending on the type of jobs to perform, when a device recovers from the energy saving mode,” he revealed.

"As for TEC value, which meets the International ENERGY STAR program, one of the new models has achieved 0.99 kilowatt-hour, more than 10 percent improvement as compared to its previous model," Ohno concluded.

Brother Stops Sale of Third-Party Products

Printer manufacturer Brother warned retailers and resellers of the dangers of using non-original printing supplies as these could affect performance quality and may even render warranties invalid.

The printer maker also advised partners to acquire Brother supplies from authorized distributors as it continued to exert more efforts in combating the influx of patent-infringing merchandise.

It can be remembered early this year that Brother took Aster Technology to a legal battle. The Netherlands-based firm was accused of producing and supplying YT-cassettes, which violated Brother’s intellectual property rights.

In turn, Aster agreed to cease selling and marketing remanufactured YT-cassettes, which were used in P-Touch label machines.

“We would urge all of our channel partners to continue buying Brother Original Supplies from authorised distributors, in order to ensure their customers receive the best performance from their products and after-sales service we can provide,” implored managing director of Brother UK, Phil Jones.

SANFORD, NC – (December 4, 2013) – On Tuesday, December 3, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments regarding the case between Lexmark and Static Control. A decision will not be made for months, but the leaning of the court strongly favored another win for Static Control.

Static Control’s claims against Lexmark are based, in part, on Lexmark falsely telling remanufacturers that remanufacturing “Prebate” cartridges was illegal. The Lanham Act, a federal statute, prohibits false advertising. The trial court initially rejected Static Control’s Lanham Act claim, but the Sixth Circuit reinstated it. Lexmark asked the Supreme Court to overrule the Sixth Circuit.

Early on in the argument, things favored Static Control. Justice Sotomayor interrupted Lexmark’s lawyer stating: “You’re disparaging the goods of a person. You’re saying that it’s illegal to use that person’s products. It seems to me that’s the essence of the Lanham Act as it’s now written.”

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg also seemed to favor a ruling for Static Control, commenting: “Here is an entrepreneur that says, ‘We make a product and Lexmark is disparaging our product. It is essentially trying to get us out of this line of business. Certainly if you just read the words of the Lanham Act, this is allegedly false advertising.”

“We are extremely pleased with how things went today,” said Static Control’s President Bill Swartz. “We look forward to the court’s decision in June.”

Formulations Chemist Joins Diamond DispersionsInk specialists appoint inkologist to R&D team

Ink specialists, Diamond Dispersions, have appointed Marie Holmes as formulations chemist and inkologist*.

Ms. Holmes, who lives in Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, has spent the last 39 years working as a formulations chemist with global chemical firms such as ICI, BASF and, most recently, Fuji Film Imaging Colorants in Manchester and will further enhance Diamond’s expanding research and development team.

Commenting on her appointment, Marie said: “Diamond is a growing business with clients across the globe and a number of high profile projects that I can play a key role in.

“I’ve spent my entire career working with dyes and pigments, creating formulations of concentrated products into high quality inks. As such, I have a broad experience of devising inks for a variety of applications and substrates and I am currently focusing on developing dispersions specifically for use in the textile industry.”

Vice Governor of Utrecht, Holland, Visits Ninestar

On November 28th, 2013, Mr. Remco Van Lunteren, Vice Governor of Utrecht, Holland, visited Ninestar, Zhuhai. The visiting team had a meeting with Scott Zang, Assistant President of Seine Group, the parent company of Ninestar. Mr. Van Lunteren spoke highly of Seine’s contribution to Utrecht.

Mr. Zang introduced Seine’s New High-Tech Industrial Park, leading edge technologies, Pantum printers, and its upgrade from cartridge suppliers to the rank of OEMs to the guests. He also discussed the investment, future development and challenges of Ninestar’s overseas sales company in Holland. Mr. Van Lunteren commented that they will provide opportunities and help for Ninestar and welcome Ninestar to have more business and investment in Holland.

After meeting, the officials also visited Seine’s State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemical, the R&D center of Pantum printers and the new park. Mr. Van Lunteren was very appreciated of the New High-Tech Industry Park and was interested in Seine’s fast growth and achievements and he showed confidence and would like to continuously support Seine in Holland.

Figure 1 shows how the toner and drum cartridges are shipped in a new machine. Figures 2, 3 & 4 show a Starter cartridge

top, bottom and gear end cap. Figures 5, 6 & 7 show the same for a TN-750 and Figures 8, 9 and 10 show a TN-780

Current machines released so far for this series are:HL-5440D

HL-6180 printer engine is based on a new 40-42ppm, 1200 DPI laser engine. These machines have a first page out in less than 8.5 seconds, and come standard with 64Mb of memory depending on the machine. The HL-6180 series also have duplexing built in. Our HL-6180 machine came with a TN-720 Starter cartridge which is rated for 3000 pages. The starter cartridge does not come with any reset gears. There are three different toner cartridges available for these machines. The TN-720 is rated for 3,000 pages, The TN-750 is rated for 8,000 pages and the TN780 is rated for 12,000 pages. The TN780 will only fit into the HL-6180 and MFC-8950 machines. There are different part numbers for these cartridges depending on your region. They are as follows:

In our machine, the starter cartridge was a TN-720 and did NOT have a reset gear installed. The TN-750 and the TN-780 cartridges use different reset gears. The TN-750 gears in addition to being a different color from the TN-780, have one large white flag VS two smaller gray flags on the TN-780. That is how the machine knows if there is a HY or SHY cartridge installed. New HY and SHY reset gears are available so that starter cartridges can be made into HY or a SHY cartridge. The OEM SHY cartridge is slightly larger than the STD or HY cartridges, but we feel at this point that there is enough room to make them SHY. (As of April 2013, this is still preliminary info). Reset gears serve two purposes. First they reset the printer so it knows a new toner cartridge was installed. Secondly they tell the printer which cartridge was installed. When the printer senses a new toner cartridge, the bias voltage is set to a high voltage. As the cartridge is used, the bias voltage is reduced gradually down. This process is necessary because according to Brother, a new toner cartridge has a tendency to print light. As the cartridge is used, the density increases. To keep the density level even throughout its life, the density bias voltage is reduced accordingly. Each time a new cartridge is installed, the bias voltage is reset to the high voltage point, and the cartridge page count is reset to zero. Since different yields would dictate different decreases in density over time, Brother uses different reset gears which tell the printer how fast to reduce the bias voltage.NOTE: There have again been some major changes in the way the toner cartridge AND the drum cartridge works in this series. Because of this we are covering the theory again.

New Brother Print Theory: As with previous Brother cartridges, the

waste toner is repelled off of the drum to be transferred to the toner unit, but the method of how this works is now very different.

Figure A is a general layout of the component locations. The waste toner still is transferred to the supply chamber, and this remaining toner still MUST be completely removed from the supply chamber before adding new toner. Fa i lu re to do th i s w i l l cause back grounding. In addition to contaminating the toner cartridge, this may also contaminate the cleaning section of the drum cartridge, which in turn will contaminate the toner cartridge again. The reasons for this are explained in the following cartridge theory section. The first new item in this engine is there is now a paper cleaning roller in the printer itself. This roller cleans off any extra paper dust before the printing process even starts. It is located just after the paper feed rollers. The cleaning section of the drum cartridge no longer consists of a "cleaning brush" it is now a paired system of the cleaning roller assembly and the transfer roller but these rollers only play a minor part. The developer roller now has two jobs. In addition to transferring the good toner to the OPC for printing, it also now cleans off the majority of the waste toner off the drum. This is done by a very complicated series of different electrical charges and a series of directional changes on the drum and developer rollers. The developer roller and drum change direction and charge 4 times per full drum rotation. This is such a complicated process that the printers actually have a rotation controller PCB with a microcomputer on it to control it all. The cleaning roller cleans off any remaining toner that the developer roller did not remove. The transfer roller basically

self cleans itself of any residual toner or paper dust that might have accumulated in the printing process When the drum is cleaned by the transfer roller the surface potential of the drum is dropped (from 900V to about 200V) at this point the transfer roller and cleaning roller will release the waste toner to the drum. This waste toner is actually then charged by the corona wire so that the developer roller can pick it up and bring it back into the toner hopper. Both rollers release the waste toner at the same time. This was done to keep the print speed high, the power supply smaller and the cost on the two rollers and cartridges down. The drum unit also now has a small waste chamber next to the cleaning roller. The reason for this waste area is for things like paper dust that do not transfer well. Since there is a paper cleaning roller before the cartridges in the printer this area in theory should stay fairly empty. The metal roller next to the cleaning roller helps keep the cleaning roller free of anything that does not transfer Since the developer roller now does most of the cleaning work, the condition of the roller while always important, is now much more so. If the roller has any contamination on it from the toner additives, (OEM or aftermarket) it will interfere with the cleaning cycle and ghosting/backgrounding will result. If the cleaning roller gets contaminated and not cleaned properly the same thing will result. The main culprit for this used to be the charge felt. It is now the developer roller. It is very important that the developer roller be cleaned with a dedicated developer roller cleaner. Never use alcohol of any type as this will strip the conductive coating off the roller Since the waste toner is transferred back into the supply of the toner cartridge. Once you print with a bad toner cartridge, the drum unit will become contaminated. Even when you change out the toner with a good properly recycled or new OEM cartridge, the drum unit will transfer some of the bad toner back into the good toner cartridge, which will again cause back grounding. Both cartridges will be contaminated again. It can be a vicious circle. The remaining "toner" in the toner cartridge when toner low is reached is just below the bare minimum that can maintain the proper charge level. When the change toner light comes on, the toner will not

charge up to the proper level and will cause the back grounding. As the toner cartridge reaches the end of its useful life, the printer senses the low charge level in the toner supply and will try to keep the charge level up. This constant charging keeps an almost "empty" cartridge from back grounding. Once the printer cannot get the remaining toner up to the minimum charge, the change toner light comes on. The cartridge at this point will still be printing properly. If you were to take that same cartridge out of the machine for a few days, and then put it back in the printer without doing anything to it, the cartridge will background. This will happen because the charge level that the printer was trying so hard to keep up has dissipated out and the materials left can no longer accept a proper charge.

What does this all mean? 1) Make sure that your cartridge technicians thoroughly clean out the supply chamber of the toner cartridge. 2) Clean the developer roller with an approved developer roller cleaner. (NOT alcohol! That will strip the conductive coating off ) 3) In the event that they forget, and you have a backgrounding cartridge. The toner must be completely cleaned out again. (Do not use the toner over!!), and NEW fresh toner MUST be installed. 4) Clean the developer roller (Again) with an approved developer roller cleaner. (NOT alcohol!) 5) The drum unit then has to be taken apart and cleaned out with emphasis on the cleaning roller and transfer roller. This is a very simple process but very necessary once it is contaminated. According to our tests, there will be approximately 60g of toner left when the cartridge is spent. This is normal. The toner left however as stated above is waste toner/paper dust only and must be thrown out or there will be backgrounding issues.

Figure 2411) Vacuum the doctor blade and foam feed roller clean. Until new blades are available, we do not recommend that the doctor blade be removed or the developer roller felt seals disturbed. The doctor blade can be easily cleaned by blowing the excess toner off, and wiping down with a lint free cloth. Be very careful not to leave any lint behind! See Figure 25

12) Inspect the magnetic roller felts. If they are compressed, (shiny) rough them up with a small screwdriver. See Figures 26 & 2713) Clean the developer roller with a lint free cloth and a dedicated developer roller cleaner. Do not use any chemicals other than a dedicated developer roller cleaner to clean the roller. Any type of alcohol cleaner will strip the conductive coating off the roller.

14) Re-install the developer roller with the long shaft to the gear side. See Figure 28

15) Install the non gear side developer roller bushing and screw. See Figure 29

16) Install the gear side developer roller bushing. Make sure it snaps in place. See Figure 3017) Fill the cartridge with toner for use

in the Brother HL-6180 series of toner cartridges. Replace the fill plug. See Figures 31 & 32

18) Clean the gears, making sure that they have no toner on them. This is a good time to also check the gear shafts to make sure there is enough grease. If the shafts appear dry, or the grease is contaminated with toner, clean the shaft and inside of the gear. Replace the grease with white lithium grease. 19) Install the developer roller gear, E-ring, white axle spacer. See Figure 3320) The cartridge we are remanufacturing is a starter cartridge and did not come with a retaining plate, reset gear or spring. These items need to be installed for the printer to accept a starter cartridge as new. 21) Install the retaining plate over the fill plug. See Figure 3422) Install all the gears as shown. See

Figure 3523) Depending on the cartridge you have, set the reset gears as shown. Make sure the Reset gear tab and the tab on the retaining ring are next to each other. See Figure 36. See Figure 37 for the TN-750 and Figure 38 for the TN-780

关于市场

由于专家们一直在预测打印与硬件的悲观未来,态度消极、

心存恐惧似乎在业界已经成为一种常态。例如,我总是相信打印

拥有光明的前景,我们专注于一种 OEM 转换策略,使用高品质

的再制造耗材作为我们业务的基石。我们在打印硬件市场也看到

了一些复苏迹象,第三季度打印机安装量出现了坚实的增长。同

时,消费者每年在墨水、墨粉上的支出超过 800 亿美元——其中超过 250 亿美元是在彩色激光打印方面,而这一市场目前仍然只有不到 10% 的份额。一切数据

再次表明我们拥有巨大的增长前景。

2013 年,有一些非常积极的迹象表明,合法的后市场与

OEM 打印厂商之间建立合作基础。全球贸易协会与 OEMs 一起

合作,制定更加明确的再生产品与兼容产品定义,惠普甚至表明

再生产品质量优于新的克隆产品。我们希望这一新的共识能够推

动再制造行业的成长。克隆产品非常具有危害性,不仅把价格压

到最低,而且从质量和知识产权角度来说,破坏了影像后市场的

整体信誉。

从根本上来说,2013 年超过 120,000,000 台打印机的销售量,

接近 3 万亿的打印量,说明打印在社会生活中依然发挥重要作用。

消费者在打印时,需要有公平的选择,不论是在任何打印环境中。

他们对于打印的要求应该是高品质、低成本、绿色环保。我们行

业仍然可以传递这些价值,为此我们可以保持谨慎的乐观。

2013 年,我们在美国的 MPS 市场看到与往年一样的

发展趋势:市场发展缓慢,几乎没有增长。这其中的原因

在于,3-5 年前进入 MPS 领域的独立经销商和分销商,

现在并没有兑现其当初承诺的服务。他们发现其再次陷于

了价格竞争,这迅速侵蚀了他们的利润。他们的优先考虑

是收集柜台,结果其后台的增长要远远高于其业务,这吞

食了赚取利润的任何可能性。因此并不奇怪看到他们不再

追逐 MPS 了。

好消息是重要的市场参与者正在做出反应,已经改变

了这一路径。其新的关注点是围绕 MPS 的成本控制,自

动执行增强了其对于 MPS 的信心。实际上监控工具的时

代已经结束了,同时对于 MPS 产量管理工具的需求变得

非常旺盛。因此,我们预计 2014 年将会再次激发人

们对于 MPS 业务的信心,这将使现有的市场参

与者一旦解决了其成本控制与订单执行问题,

就会再次推动 MSP 业务。

MPS 新兴市场,例如欧洲,的确有机会从其他人错

1 月,施乐公司 2012 年取得逾 1,000 项发明专利。跻身全美获得发明专利公司的前十。

施乐新近取得的专利中包括三项重大技术——在静电复印中用于传送图像的软性材料,用于提高彩色打

印机图像质量的技术方法及用于减少施乐数字打印机墨粉消耗量的技术。据悉,施乐将拿出 67.5 亿美元的巨

资对新品研发。

1 月,日本富士施乐公司在海外越南新加坡工业区建设新厂。生产激光打印机、数字复印机、多功能数字

设备和激光扫描仪,年产能 130 万台和零配件 250 万个。计划 2015 年前将产能提高至 200 万台,预计总投

资额约为 90 亿日元。在越南新建的生产企业是对中国市场进行补充。

1 月,天威与北美最大的耗材供应商 Parts Now 达成了合作协议。Parts Now 将成为天威分销商,为其销

售旗下耗材产品。

1 月,在 337 案件中佳能以全胜的姿态结束。337 案涉嫌侵犯佳能“803”和“454”专利的厂商都已经被“摆

平”。佳能请求 ITC(美国国家贸易委员会)发布禁止进口令,以阻止一切侵权产品进入美国市场。

1 月 23 日,天威的耗材芯片及耗材容器发明专利申请成功,拥有专利数达到 2000 项。

1 月,美国国际贸易委员会(USITC)发布了首份再生行业报告,对行业近 3 年的发展进行了总结。 报

告称美国再生行业在最近 3 年上升了 15%,总价值已达到 43 亿美元以上。其中最大的几个再生业务包括:航空、

消费品、电子仪器、IT 产品等等。

1 月 29 日,广东新高端实业有限公司获得广州市知识产权局的专利资助。

1 月,欧洲专利机构的消息透露,Memjet 公司的一项与打印头相关的技术——pagewidth 技术,获得了

专利,这项专利主要用于打印头阻塞时的替换工作。

2 月 1 日,惠普率先宣布提高 49 种耗材价格。

2 月 ,惠普起诉 LD Products 把全新耗材当再生耗材进行宣传和出售,称其行为违反了兰哈姆法案、加

州虚假宣传法、不正当竞争法及习惯法。

2 月 28 日我国广东省质量技术监督局发布再生耗材产品行业标准《再生墨粉的质量和污染控制要求》。

该标准首次把产品质量与生产过程的环保要求结合起来,对再生产品提出了高于传统产品的技术标准的

更高要求。把可能造成污染大气的废料变成生产高科技产品的原料,为减少大气污染做出贡献。

3月,美国最高法院做出裁决,受版权保护的产品在首次销售后,其版权用尽,无论首次销售发生在哪

个国家或地区。此前,首次销售后专利权用尽的原则,被用来禁止首次合法销售发生在国外的产品,再次在

美国国内出售。

3 月,利盟向地方法院提出,请求法院裁定 Printer Essentials 要遵守其传票。

Printer Essentials 表明,利盟要求出示的文件,都是受律师与委托人间的特权以及工作产品声明保护的,

而且含有商业秘密及其他机密信息。

5 月,耗材经销商 IJSS 抗击利盟修正诉讼。利盟向美国俄亥俄州法院提交了名为“John Does”的修正诉讼,

并增加了 31 家被告。再次被列为被告的美国耗材经销商 IJSS 对此提出异议。

6 月 28 日,美国国际贸易委员会(ITC)发信告知美国海关边境保护局(CBP),针对佳能成像卡盒旋

转齿轮 337 侵权案发布了普遍排除令 (GEO),将禁止任何侵犯佳能“803”和“454”专利的产品进口到美国

境内。该局将负责实际执行法令,查处相关侵权产品。

除了普遍排除令,ITC 还制定了停止 - 禁止令 (cease and desist orders),预防已经销往美国的产品进一

步侵犯佳能专利权。ITC 称,普遍排除令和停止 - 禁止令的有效期是到 2016 年 3 月 26 日,就是案件涉及专

利的失效日。

7 月 5 日,澳大利亚联邦法院判处惠普澳大利亚公司误导消费者放弃自身保修权利的行为,支付 320 万

美元罚款,这是澳大利亚最新的消费者权益法颁布以来,被判赔偿金额较多的案例之一。

 

8 月,西班牙法庭驳回了 EFI 公司旗下 Cretaprint 公司的专利侵权索赔案。

8 月,美国知名专利律师 Edward F. O’Connor 为打印机及耗材经销公司 Impression Products 担任代

理律师,就利盟“John Doe”诉讼案向美国俄亥俄州南区法院提出抗诉。

8 月,今年利盟向美国法院先后起诉了 36 家销售或生产再生成像卡盒公司,称他们的利盟成像卡盒首次

销售发生在美国境外,而根据美国首次销售原则,他们的行为已经侵犯了利盟的相关专利权。

8 月,全球最大的耗材再造商 Clover Holdings, Inc. 收购了德国大型空盒回收商 K+U Printware GmbH

和其全资子公司 Collecture。

10 月,珠海耗材国际展在航空展成功举办,展商达 4000 余个,引人注目的 3D 打印专区,吸引不少前来

观看的客人。

10 月,新起点,大未来:去产业链上游参与竞争——赛纳召开“HELLO FUTURE”高峰论坛。赛纳科技

在其新落成的打印机产业园召开了隆重的“Hello Future”高峰论坛,来自全球的 100 多名客户、媒体和行业

专家参加了此次论坛活动,此次活动也是赛纳科技新投入使用的 25 万平方米的新工业园首次向全球客户亮相。

11 月,史丹迪(SCC)创始人 Ed Swartz 逝世。美国时间 11 月 4 日,史丹迪(SCC)创始人 Ed Swartz 逝世,

享年 77 岁。这一悲痛信息传出,各界人士的悲切悼念和对其家人的深切慰问不断涌向美国桑福德。

11 月,天威控股旗下公司 -- 珠海思美亚碳粉有限公司生物墨粉全面上市。 该生物墨粉的适用机型已从

惠普全面拓展到三星、兄弟等打印机型,并据第三方检测机构美国 BETA 实验室检测显示,适用于惠普打印

机的生物墨粉生物含量最高可达 48%。

11 月,珠海市将“培育电子商务平台和网商”等内容写进政府报告。“发展电商”政府补助最高 200 万。

12 月,美国最高法院审理 SCC 史丹迪针对利盟的不实广告诉讼。美国最高法院听取了关于利盟与 SCC

史丹迪诉讼案件的口头抗辩。虽然近几个月不会做出判决,但是法庭的倾向已经强烈地偏向于SCC史丹迪胜诉。

12 月,惠普针对其激光打印机所使用的通用芯片发出了修订版(第二版)白皮书,要求通用耗材必商须

作出相应调整,避免品牌误导。

经过充足的准备,2014 年 3 月 6-8 号的印度新德里

展览的组委会工作人员,于 2013 年 12 月 18-22 号前往印

度举行展览的首场发布会,并拜访重点展商及卖家,邀

请孟买打印耗材一条街的客人前往参加 3 月的印度展。

这次的推广活动受到当地展商和买家的热情接待,收到

了积极的反响。以下是本次活动的主要行程分享给广大

读者朋友。

一、约见印度当地的进口商:

1 12 月 18 号,主办方的 Eric 和 Rose 分别约见了印度的进口

商 Aryan 公司的 T.K.ROY, Tanya Goel 及其总裁 Pradeep,介绍了

3 月份印度新德里展览的情况,Aryan 公司表示全力支持本次展览,

欢迎 RechargExpo 这一品牌国际展览会入驻印度;

2 约见了 Datalinker 公司,这家公司是专门为印度大公司做

打印和办公设备采购的服务公司,公司负责人表示,印度的大公

司欢迎来自中国等世界各地的优质供应商和采购商,前往印度洽

谈合作。印度本地的海关和关税程序较为复杂,建议计划在印度

开展业务的工作,最好是可以跟大家的企业合作,这样可以更好

地融入当地的市场。

Gartner: India Printer, Copier & Multifunctional Product Shipments Up 13.2% in Q3

IDC Report: Global Market of Printer Peripherals Starts to Recover in the 3rd Quarter

2013 年第三季度串式喷墨和页式打印

机、复印机及多功能一体机的出货量达

到 861,212 台, 与 12 年 同 期 相 比 增 长

13.2%。其中,黑白和彩色打印设备的出

货分别同比上升了 12% 和 28%。

Gartner 调研分析师 Zalak Shah 指

出:“目前,印度市场在很大程度上仍

然是受纸张需求推动的,然而人们越来

越重视数字化以及获取信息的及时性与

便利性。这意味着打印提供商可以将其

业务扩展到优化支持业务流程的文件管

理领域。”

在印度打印机市场,惠普仍然占据

领 导 地 位, 市 场 份 额 达 到 51.5%, 佳

能和爱普生紧随其后,市场份额分别为

21% 和 9%。在 13 年第三季度,三星电

子的市场份额为 7%,理光占 6%。

在页式 A4 多功能一体机细分市场,

出货也同比增长了 20%。惠普仍占据统

治地位,增幅达到 31.7%,市场份额达

56.7%。随后是三星和佳能,分别占了

19% 和 12.8% 份额,佳能。页式 A3 多

功能一体机细分市场实现小幅增长,同

比增加了 2%。佳能以 23.1% 的份额居

第一。紧随其后的是理光和柯尼卡美能

达,其份额分别为 19.4% 和 19%。

Gartner: 印度第三季度打印机出货量大幅增长

日前,IDC 发布了其最新打印外设跟踪报告。据介绍,

全球2013年第三季度打印外设(包括A2-A4打印、复印设备)

的出货量为 2810 万台,同比增长了 2.6%,这是自 2011 年

第一季度之后首次出现增长。

在地区市场方面,亚太地区(不含日本)的增幅为最大,

同比上升了 5.2%。随后是西欧和美国,分别同比增长了 3.5%

和 0.5%。

IDC 报告:全球第三季打印外设市场出现复苏

在技术细分市场,喷墨产品的出货量达到 1680 万台,同比

增加了 0.4%,主要得益于多功能喷墨一体机的出货比去年同期

上升了 4%。而激光产品的出货也同比增加了 5.9%。其中,黑白

激光产品的出货量为 830 万台,同比增加了 5.5%。彩色激光产

品的出货量为 180 万台,同比上浮了 7.8%。

惠普继续领导全球打印市场,共销售了 1140 万台,同比增

加了 12.2%,占据 40.7% 的市场份额。佳能排第二,市场份额

为 20.4%,但出货量与去年同期基本持平。随后是爱普生,占了

14.2% 的份额,但其出货同比下降了 4.5%。兄弟排第四,份额

为 7.2%,同比增长 5.7。三星排第五,份额为 4.6%,出货同比

减少了 5.1%。

好!感谢您接受本报专访。作为专门为

市场提供打印机产品和商务影像解决方

案的企业,请您分析一下当前打印行业

的市场潮流。

渡边秀一:从目前形势看,中国市

场仍是黑白打印机占主流地位。但这并

不妨碍我们从全球视角观察整个行业的

发展趋势,从黑白激打向彩色激打转型

是必然潮流,我坚信中国市场亦会如此。

现在,这块市场面临的问题是,用户普

遍认为彩色激打成本较高。在这种情况

下,业内企业需要做的是让客户更多地

认识到,通过使用彩色激打产品能取得

更好的使用效果。

《中国政府采购报》:佳能在这方

面的具体举措是什么呢?

渡边秀一:今年,我们进一步加大

了对彩色激打产品的推广力度。如:每

个月我们会面向全国举行一天彩色日活

动。当然,这些举措取得了一定成果。

我们销售的产品中,过去彩色激打只占

5%,现在提升到了 10%。今年 7 月,我

们一次性推出了 7 款 A4 幅面彩色激打产

品,并在全国各地举办了形式丰富的市

场营销推广活动。可以说,目前,这些

产品销售势头很好,通过这些举措,我

们了解到了客户使用彩色激打产品的具

体环境。

《中国政府采购报》:这些措施的

效果如何?

渡边秀一:一段时间以来,佳能彩

色激打产品和彩色复合机产品在中国市

场都有上佳表现,实现了销售数量和销

售额的双双增长。

从产品到解决方案的蜕变

《中国政府采购报》:在云计算、

大数据等技术纷纷实现落地的环境下,

业内众多硬件设备厂商都在谋求向解决

方案供应商转变。佳能在这方面有没有

相应的计划?

渡边秀一:当然。这是一项顺势而

动的必然性工作。从今年春季开始,我

们面向市场推出低端智能操控系列产品,

目前的销售情况比较令人欣慰。我们还

针对一些专用领域推出了相应的解决方

案软件,并成功引起了市场用户的注意。

接下来,我们会在已有基础上不断开发

新的解决方案产品,以满足日益多元化

的市场需求。

体而言,系统集成商组建基础设施,我

们会和系统集成商进行合作,提供适应

其要求的各种终端产品,包括打印机、

监控等,并作为优化之后的解决方案进

行提供。

立足西部,开拓更广泛的市场区域

《中国政府采购报》:去年 4 月,

佳能华西区域总部在四川成都成立。这

是佳能的一项重大战略举措。在市场布

局方面,佳能接下来会引入哪些资源?

渡边秀一:新成立华西总部,能使

我们更加清楚地了解这片市场的营销状

况,通过数据把握华西地区的市场需求。

为了做到这些,我们会持续投入人力、

物力、财力等各种资源。下一步,我们

会着眼于西部地区的 3 级—5 级市场,继

续深耕,不断扩大业务覆盖范围。

《中国政府采购报》:在战术上,

佳能又将如何布局呢?

渡边秀一:我一直信奉的一条营销

准则是:用户需求引领市场走向。在产

品层面,我们会特别关注中国消费者的

需求。值得一提的是,我们会专门针对

中国的政府用户需求,不断改进产品功

能,完善服务体系。例如,政府用户对

于节能环保功能的要求较高,我们针对

政府市场推出的产品都是能耗较低的产

品,同时,这些产品对于耗材的消耗量

也保持在低位运行。如此一来,政府用

户对于产品的总体拥有成本降低,也符

合政府采购节约财政性资金的初衷。当

然,要做到及时响应客户,实力强大的

经销商队伍必不可少,所以,佳能在选

择经销商方面十分谨慎,在确定经销商

后会对其进行系统而严格的培训。我们

的经销商队伍是经得起市场和用户考验

的。

3D 打印产业短期发展趋势

1)3D 打印带来服务和影响模式的

创新

3D 打印产业链涉及到很多环节,包

括 3D 打印机设备制造商、3D 模型软件

供应商、3D 打印机服务商和 3D 打印材

料的供应商。因此围绕 3D 打印的产业链

会产生很多机会。在 3D 打印产业链里,

除了出现大品牌的生产厂商外,也有可

能出现基于 3D 打印提供服务的巨头。以

下两个例子说明 3D 打印服务的创新:

◆ Shapeways 公司并不直接出售打

印机,而是通过社交网络把“全价值链”

搬到了线上。用户在网站注册后,既可

以把自己的产品设计上传到网站,也可

目前中国 3D 打印技术发展面临诸多

挑战,总体处于新兴技术的产业化初级

阶段,主要表现在:一是产业规模化程

度不高。3D 打印技术大多还停留在高校

及科研机构的实验室内,企业规模普遍

较小。二是技术创新体系不健全。创新

资源相对分割,标准、试验检测、研发

等公共服务平台缺乏,尚未建立起产学

研用相结合的技术创新体系。三是产业

政策体系尚未完善。缺乏前瞻性、一致性、

系统性的产业政策体系,包括发展规划

和财税支持政策等。四是行业管理亟待

加强;五是教育和培训制度急需加强。

3D 打印产业中期发展趋势

从中期来看,与传统的制造技术形

成互补。相较于传统生产方式,3D 打印

技术的确是重大的变革,但目前和近中

期还不具备推动第三次工业革命的本领,

也不会是传统制造业的终结者。目前的

3D 打印技术在复杂构件、新产品开发、

协同制造和实现创意方面较有优势,最

理想的应用是在个性化或者定制化的领

域。因此,近中期还不可能完全替代传

统的制造技术,应该是优势互补。

3D 打印技术虽然也许会重振部分发

达国家制造业竞争力,但是短期内还难

以颠覆整个传统制造业模式。理由有三:

一是 3D 打印只是新的精密技术与信息化

技术的融合,相比于机器化大生产,不

是替代关系,而是平行和互补关系;二

是 3D 打印原材料种类有限,决定了绝大

多数产品打印不出来;三是个性化打印

成本极高,很难实现传统制造方式的大

批量、低成本制造。

3D 打印产业长期发展趋势

综合 3D 打印产业的技术特点和发展

现状,我们认为未来行业发展存在以下

趋势特点:

1)3D 打印个人消费保持高速增长

随着“个人制造”的兴起,在个人

消费领域,3D 打印行业预计仍会保持相

对较高的增速。有助于拉动个人使用的

桌面 3D 打印设备的需求;同时也会促进

上游打印材料(主要以光敏树脂和塑料

为主)的消费。

2)3D 打印金属材料应用程度不断

加深

在工业消费领域,由于 3D 打印金

属材料的不断发展,以及金属本身在工

业制造中的广泛应用。前瞻预计,以激

光金属烧结为主要成型技术的 3D 打印设

备,将会在未来工业领域的应用中,获

得相对较快的发展。中短期内,这一领

域的应用仍会集中在产品设计和工具制

造环节。

3)产业链上的专业分工会进一步深

现阶段,主要的 3D 打印企业一般以

材料供应,设备制造和打印服务的综合

形式存在。这是由产业发展初期技术推

广和市场规模的限制所致。长期来看,

产业链的各环节会产生专业化的分离:

富士施乐公司建设的越南新厂投入使用

富士施乐宣布其位于越南海防市新加坡工

业园的新厂正式投入使用。

据该公司透露,新厂总面积 57563平方米,

投资约 90 亿日元。该设施将凭借高效的生产

流程及更短的交货时间成为全球制造枢纽。

此外,富士施乐称新厂将生产销售包括小

型 LED 打印机及数字彩色多功能设备在内的

最新产品,年产量约为 200 万台。同时还生产

打印机的主要零部件,如感光鼓零件和印刷电

路板。到 2015 财年止,该厂将达到其最大产能。

富士施乐海防公司总裁称:“我们在越南

的新厂将结合先进的制作工艺和操作标准,为

世界各地的顾客提供新颖、高质量的产品及解

决方案。能成为越南经济发展的一部分,我们

甚感自豪;在未来几年,富士施乐将继续投入

资金,与当地劳动力合作发展世界级的制造枢

纽。”

惠普 11 月 27 日公布了截止 10 月

31 日的 2013 年第四财季及全财年财报。

报告显示,公司该季度净营收为 291 亿

美元,同比下滑 3%;净利润为 14 亿美元,

去年同期为净亏损 69 亿美元;合摊薄后

每股收益 0.73 美元,去年同期为摊薄后

每股亏损 3.49 美元。

个人系统业务营收同比下滑 2%,

运营利润率为 3.0%。商业客户的营收同

比增长 4%,消费者客户的营收同比下滑

10%。总出货量同比增长 2%,其中桌面

电脑同比下滑 5%,笔记本电脑同比增长

3%。

打印业务营收同比下滑 1%,运营利

润率为 17.7%。总硬件设备出货量同比

增长 6%,其中企业硬件设备出货量同比

增长 9%,消费者硬件设备出货量同比增

长 4%。供应业务营收同比下滑 4%。

2014 财年第一财季,按非美国通用

会计准则计算(Non-GAAP),惠普预

计摊薄后每股净收益将在 0.82 至 0.86

美元之间。按照美国通用会计准则计算

(GAAP),则预计摊薄后每股净收益在

0.60 至 0.64 美元之间。2014 财年第一

财季的 Non-GAAP 摊薄后每股净收益不

包括每股 0.22 美元的,与无形资产摊销

及重组费用相关的税后支出。

2014 财 年, 惠 普 预 计 Non-GAAP

摊薄后每股净收益将在 3.55 至 3.75 美

元,GAAP 摊薄后每股净收益将在 2.85

至 3.05 美元。这与惠普早前在 10 月 9

日分析师会议上公布的预期一致。2014

年 Non-GAAP 每股净收益不包括每股

0.70 美元的,与无形资产摊销及重组费

用相关的税后支出。

惠普公司中国裁员 否认规模达 20%

11 月初,有媒体报道惠普已宣布将在其欧洲公司削减或调

整 7100 个职位。近日,又有消息称,中国惠普有限公司正在进

行新一轮的裁员,裁员人数或为中国员工总数的 20%。

对此,有媒体向惠普中国相关部门求证,惠普官方证实裁员消

息属实:中国惠普预计会有部分员工离开公司,或被重新部署到新的岗位。对

于裁员的原因,惠普方面的解释是“为了更好地适应公司及客户未来的需求”。

但惠普中国否认 20% 的裁员比例,其企业传播部相关负责人表示:“20%

的裁员比例并不属实,这次受到影响的员工只占中国惠普员工总数很小的比

例。”

该负责人并未透漏受影响的员工比例和对被裁员工的补偿方案,也并未介

绍将重点针对哪些部门进行调整,仅表示“在过渡期,惠普将采取一系列措施

协助受到影响的员工。惠普将继续坚定致力于在中国的长期发展。”

去年 3 月份中国惠普完成了新一轮的组织架构调整,中国惠普由三大业务

单元调整为四个业务单元,分别是:打印与信息产品集团、企业集团、企业服

务集团、惠普软件集团,分别由仪晓辉、符标榜、William 和于志伟负责。

然而频繁的架构调整使得惠普内部人士也难以理清最近十年的架构变化,

有评论认为,惠普中国业务的发展问题无法靠架构调整来实现,这只会让企业

陷入内外混乱的局面中。频繁的变动让中国惠普失去了方向感,这或许是用另

一个错误来纠正已有的错误。

双 11 来袭,电商大战愈演愈烈,消费者的狂欢频频

刷新纪录,相比 2012 年,今年的双 11,仅淘宝一家就突

破 350 亿,京东、易迅等,也纷纷加入“双 11”大战,电

商各大佬的“裸奔”仍在继续,而作为商家,如何看待电

商的爆发式增长,又如何分享电商快速发展的红利?笔者

近期走访了北京奔图科技有限公司,就中国自主核心技术

的激光打印品牌,如何在电商市场获得持续的高速增长,

与大家一起分享“奔图经验”。

笔者:“8.15”、“双 11”等,电商的各种消费狂欢节层

出不穷,在电商消费日的刺激下,奔图在电商的表现怎么样?

赵哲:双“11”已经成为了“中国消费节日”,正如李克

强总理所说的那样,“创造了一个消费时点”,在消费时点的

拉动下,奔图电商表现强劲,也进一步说明,电商已经成为重

要的销售通路,商品的销售通路已从传统意义上的渠道和大客

户双业务模式转变为线上和线下双业务模式。从奔图在主要的

B2C 电商销售数据看,相比于 2012 年,奔图 2013 年的电商

市场增长率达到了 2000%,是京东等系统激光打印机增速最快

的品牌,并且单功能单型号的销售排名从 2012 年的第 22 名进

入前 5,甚至在一些单周销量排名跃居第 1,多功能新品十月

份上市即实现在 65 个单品中销售进入前 10,出现了爆发性的

增长。

这样的增长率,一方面得益于电商市场整体的快速增长,

通过三年来的运作,奔图品牌知名度在持续增长,产品品质得

到了消费者的认可,另一方面,奔图在电商市场,采取了相应

的市场策略,如打造以“奔三风暴”为主的月度品牌促销周,

主推以 P1000L 和 M5000L 为主的明星机型,通过社会化媒体

营销手段,低成本高效率的提升产品促销活动的曝光和转化率。

笔者:奔图实现的 2000% 的爆发性增长是否是可持续的?

在未来的电商市场,奔图又有哪些布局?

赵哲:要长期保持这种“爆发性”的增长,对任何一个品

牌来说,都有很大的挑战,但保持 3—5 年的高速增长,我们

非常有信心。

在 2013 年年初,奔图经营班子专门召开了奔图电商未来

三年的发展战略会议,我们得出了两个基本判断,一是电商整

体市场在未来几年会持续高速增长,通常理解的双业务模式会

从目前的 R 模式和 T 模式,最终转变为线上和线下两种模式;

二是未来 3—5 年是核心 B2C 电商上市前的窗口期,也是传统

企业借助电商大势低成本高速发展的黄金三年,在电商企业上

市后,资本市场的压力会大幅拉升品牌商在线上的运营费用。

基于这样的判断,奔图电商重点做三件事:产品,打造 2—

3 个爆款,使奔图在线上有独立的明星机型;推广,集中资源

做互动性更强的社会化媒体营销和 B2C 电商站内推广;服务,

站在用户的角度,提升整个行业的服务门槛,打造差异化竞争

优势。

客户方面,我们 90% 的资源是投在产出比较高的三家电商,

我们没有像其他品牌一样,动辄上千万的在电商投资金冲销量,

从京东的数据来看,我们 2013 年的投入产出比是主要竞争对

手的 10 倍。这得益于从集团汪东颖总裁到奔图科技舒畅总经

理的高度关注和大力支持,我们在有计划有步骤的发力,后劲

还很足,相信明年在市场排名上还会有新的突破。

2014 年开始我们将在大淘宝系统发力,同时帮助传统渠

道的客户触网开店,让奔图的客户和我们一起分享电商红利。

这对整个电商团队精细化运营的能力要求很高,虽然不会像做

B2C 网站一样立竿见影,但这必将成为我们三年后与其他品牌

竞争的差异化的优势。

笔者:“产品和服务”,是实现市场快速增长的双翼,任

何一个翅膀出现了断痕,都将影响品牌的高飞,奔图在这方面

有哪些措施?

赵哲:雷军说,站在风口,猪都能飞起来。我们不但要飞起来,

还想飞的远,所以产品和服务非常重要,这不但是我们的翅膀,

也是我们的根基。奔图要获得更多用户认可,不辜负用户的期望,

必须用优秀的产品和服务去回馈客户。

产品方面,我们用的元器件都是业内最好的,整机金属构件,

无论是月打印负荷、内存、整机寿命和初次购买成本,还是后

续的耗材选购成本、单页使用成本,都为用户提供了前所未有

的超值选择,从用户反馈和评论的情况看,大家也非常认可奔

图产品的品质和性价比。

服务是我们创造客户价值的另一种方式,从今年的情况看,

真正出现品质问题需要维护的寥寥无几。所以我们计划在 2014

年,与服务部门协同创新,推动拉升整个行业的服务标准,在

重点城市提供上门服务;与京东等电商客户策划做联合推广活

动,打印机 180 天只换不修;同时增设坐席,实现一站式限时

解决服务。

奔图在进入电商市场之初,就提出了“用零售的心态做电

商”,做电商就是做品牌,必须以用户体验为核心。未来道路

上可能依然有各种困难,但我们相信“不忘初心,方得始终”,

“为你做‘好’打印机”,是奔图的使命,也是奔图电商的目标。

Supreme Court Hears Static Control’s False Advertising Lawsuit Against Lexmark

美国北卡罗莱纳州桑福德市—(2013 年 12 月 4 日)—12 月 3 日星期二,

美国最高法院听取了关于利盟与 SCC 史丹迪诉讼案件的口头抗辩。虽然近

几个月不会做出判决,但是法庭的倾向已经强烈地偏向于 SCC 史丹迪胜诉。

SCC 史丹迪针对利盟的控诉部分是基于利盟不实地告知再生厂商再生

“Prebate”硒鼓是非法的。联邦法令兰哈姆法规定,禁止虚假 / 不实广告。

一审法院初审驳回了 SCC 史丹迪基于兰哈姆法案的诉讼请求,但第六巡回

上诉法院重新判决支持该诉讼请求。利盟要求最高法院驳回第六巡回上诉法

院的判决。

早期的抗辩中,形势有利于 SCC 史丹迪。索托马约尔法官打断利盟的

律师说:“你在诋毁一个人的商品。你是在说使用这个人的产品是违法的。

在我看来这正是触犯了兰哈姆法条款。”

法官鲁思·贝德·金斯伯格似乎也支持有利于SCC史丹迪的判决,评论道:

“这里有一个企业家在说‘我们生产产品,而利盟却正在贬低我们的产品。

它本质上是想让我们离开这一业务。当然,你只要读到兰哈姆法的条款,就

会知道这涉嫌虚假 / 不实广告。’”

“对于今天形势的发展我们非常高兴,”SCC 史丹迪总裁比尔·斯沃茨

说道,“我们期待着法院六月份的判决。”

纳思达汪东颖谈中国打印机

发展之路

近日,珠海赛纳打印科技有限公

司 CEO 汪东颖接受记者拜访,谈及中

国打印机的发展之路。

汪东颖说:“虽然打印机和打印

耗材的区别很大,但是我们毕竟是打

印耗材行业的专家了,做了很多年。”

他还说,“作为打印机方面我们

可能是新兵,但是通过 2 年的时间,

我们积累了宝贵的经验。对于下一步

市场推广和产品研发中,我们将更为

关注与消费者需求的融合,相信随着

掌握的东西越来越多,我们的发展也

将越来越好。”

被问及美国国际贸易委员会对行

业的影响时,汪东颖说道:“中国出

口到美国的硒鼓数量有了大幅度的下

滑,但是前景如何我们还是要拭目以

待的。纳思达将关注自主产品发展,

并进一步获得业内认可。”同时他也

十分看好新的工作环境,相信通过工

作环境,交通的改善,能够壮大队伍,

让员工满意,最终获得产品品质的提

升。

两会结束后中央对打印耗材十分

关注,为建立节约型政府,纳思达对

再生耗材和低碳环保的关注也进一步

加强。汪先生十分高兴的分享了纳思

达在政府领域开辟的市场,31 个省和

直辖市中纳思达的产品得到了广泛的

应用,针对不同客户量身定做,银行、

教育行业、政府等市场势头很好。

同时对于电商市场,汪东颖也做

出了积极评判:“电商是不错的销售

渠道,同时电商的快速增长速度也让

纳思达提高效率更好做出相关配合,

京东、苏宁的效率都是值得认可的。”

记者从 3D 打印技术产业联盟获悉,2014 年世界 3D 打

印技术产业大会暨博览会将于明年 6 月 19 日 -22 日在青岛

举行。

中国 3D 打印技术产业联盟执行理事长、世界 3D 打印技

术产业联盟秘书长罗军介绍,2014 年世界 3D 打印大会期间,

将举行 20 多场涉及材料、商业模式、工业级 3D 打印、生物

医学级 3D 打印、文化创意等领域的专题报告会和对话会,

并首次表彰为 3D 打印做出巨大贡献的各国专家和企业;博

览会还将举行 3D 打印时尚秀、3D 创意大赛、3D 创客大会、

3D 体验中心等专项活动。据预计,出席大会的世界各地代表

将达 1200 多人,演讲嘉宾 100 多人,参观博览会的专业观

众将超过 15 万人次。

保产品入选了 2013 年 11 曰 9 日公布的《2013 年商务流通

《2013 年 商 务

流通领域节能节水产品 / 技术服务目录》在 2013 年 11 月 9

日召开的全国流通领域节能减排高峰论坛上公布。论坛在中

国进出口商品交易会展馆举办。此次论坛是由中国商务部主

办,中国商业联合会和中国质量认证中心具体承办的,旨在

共同探讨中国政府绿色采购和发展方向。

根据 IDC 最新打印外设市场跟踪报告,西欧第三季度整

体打印市场(包括 A2-A4 幅面打印设备)继续回暖,总出货

量为 576 万台,同比上升了 3.6%。IDC 表示,该地区整体市

场年内还将继续保持复苏趋势。

该报告指出,喷墨打印机的出货同比增加了 2.6%。其中,

商务喷墨市场更大幅增长了 25.6%。另一方面,激光打印机

的出货也同比增长了

惠普计划 2014 年在英国裁减过千个职位

HP Plans to Cut Over 1000 Jobs in Britain in 2014

据 BBC 消息,日前惠普明年将在英国裁减 1,124 个职位。

惠普表示这是其去年提出的全球裁减 27,000 个职位计划的一

部分。

惠普解释说,这次裁员并不意味着辞掉全部 1,124 名员

工,部分员工可能会转移到公司内部其它的合适职位。惠普

还表示,“我们将通过一系列的内部活动或调整而减轻对这

些受裁员工的影响,例如再培训、再分配和调整岗位等。”

惠普的工会表示,由于惠普的核心业务 - 桌面电脑业务

的萎缩,公司不得不根据用户对笔记本电脑和平板电脑的喜

好要求而做出相应的调整,因此公司管理层在近日会议上做

出了这次裁员计划的决定,裁减包括在 Bracknell 的 600 多个

职位、在 Warrington 的大约 500 个和 Sheffield 的 23 个职位。

工会的负责人还指出,公司的裁员计划已经影响了员工们对

公司的信任。

佳能珠海有限公司新工厂近日投产

11 月 28 日,总投资 15 亿元的佳能珠海有限公司新工厂

举行开业庆典。新工厂生产能力将扩大一倍,数码相机年产

能达到 2000 万台,产品类型将进一步丰富,覆盖数码相机、

小型数码摄像机等领域。

成立于 1990 年的佳能珠海有限公司,从最初 100 多名

员工、年销售额 200 万美元,发展成为员工超过 1 万人、年

销售额达到 13 亿美元、年纳税总额在 1 亿元以上的大型企业,

其生产的卡片数码相机占佳能全球卡片数码相机销售量的一

半。佳能珠海新工厂位于高新区金鼎工业区,项目总投资 15

亿元人民币,占地 20 万平方米。

作为针式打印机的领跑者,爱普生已连续 17 年蝉联全国

销量第一。其今年年初上市的新品 LQ-520K 针式打印机,在

稳定、耐用、节能环保等专业特性方面有着大幅创新,成功

地引领了针式打印的新潮流,因而备受业界的关注。

LQ-520K 针式打印机重量仅 4.1kg,较前代产品机身大

幅度减小,为用户有效节省了操作空间。其操作极其便捷,

控制面板、电源按键、电源线布局合理,接口处有专用的接

线通道,数据线可以从左、右和后面 3 个方向导出,能灵活

适应处于不同方向的插座位置,使用起来更方便。

LQ-520K 针式打印机的速度达到了 347cps,相比前代
