Oraşul Rheinau se află, în cantonul Zurich, la 6 Km de Cascada Rinului, situată în Neuhausen în cantonul Schauffhausen, Elveţia.Impunătoare case cu embleme şi frontoane amintesc de vremurile trecute ale localităţii. Intre cele doua curbe ale Rinului , pe o mica insulă se ridică, cu cele 2 turle impresionante, Mănăstirea Benetictină, a cărei legendă spune ca a fost fondată în anul 778.

Die Stadt Rheinau liegt im Kanton Zürich, 6km enfernt vom Rheinfall in Neuhausen, welcher sich im Kanton Schaffhausen in der Schweiz befindet. Die Fassaden der wunderschönen alten Fachwerkhäuser erinnern an alten Zeiten. Zwischen den beiden Biegungen des Rheines befindet sich eine kleine Insel auf welcher sich ein Kloster und eine dazugehörige Kirche mit zwei Kirchtürmen befinden. Der Legende nach wurde das Kloster im Jahr 778 gegründet. Der Bau der Kirche wurde hingegend für den Zeitraum 1705-1710 offiziell dokumentiert.

The town of Rheinau, in the canton of Zurich, is 6km away from the Rhinefall, which is located in Neuhausen in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland. The faces of the beautiful old frame houses are reminders of the old times. Between the two curves of the Rhine you find a little island on which a monastery and a church with two steeples have been built. Legend has it that the monastery has been founded in 778. The construction of the church is documented for the years 1705-1710.
