On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Increase

Aims to establish legal framework to promote energy efficiency in Russia. Energy efficiency

was defined as one of top priority factors of Russian economy modernization

January 2009 Government Decree No. 1-p

State Policy Guidelines for Power Industry Energy Efficiency Improvement on Basis of

Renewable Energy by 2020

Intends to increase share of RES in total volume of energy production and consumption by 4.5 per cent by 2020

June 2008 Presidential Decree No. 889

On Measures for Increasing Energy and Environmental Efficiency of Russian Economy

Defines the goal of decreasing GDP energy-intensity by 40 per cent by 2020 as compared to 2007

Comparative analysis of legislation in the field of energy efficiency in Russia and Japan

Main goal was to exchange experience and expertise, define the barriers for cooperation and the ways to remove them

REA is planning to organize a

business-mission for a delegation

of Russian government and

business sector to Japan to

exchange experience on:

• Energy management on

industrial sites;

• Energy efficiency within the

Smart city concept.

This initiative of REA has been

supported by Ministry of

Economic Development of Russia

and Russian Trade representative

office in Japan.

• Survey APEC economies’ priorities, strategies and plans for CHP application in distributed

energy generation
