demonstration, given the bad weather of the winter on the morning of February 8. It was

obvious; the demonstrators couldnt unfold their full potential because of the nasty weather
in that day.
In the final hours of the morning rush hour, motorists were rolling slowly on the slippery
roads and pedestrians were struggling through the slush of snow on the ground as they
walked on the curbsides. In that awful scenario, a group of Eritreans and Canadians braved
the unrelenting snow of the winter, in order to show their solidarity for the Eritreans in the
refugee camps in Israel.
The mysterious disappearance of the office of the Rwandan consulate from 141 Adelaide St.
West and the unfriendly security of the property also hampered the efforts of demonstrators
on top of Mother Nature. Yet the organizers and activists decided to proceed forward with
their initiative and rename it Show of Solidarity for Eritrean Refugees in Israel rather than
dismissing: RWANDA BACK OFF.
The demonstrators were able to hit their objective successfully: they echoed in downtown
Toronto, the message of solidarity for the piteous Eritrean refugees in Israel.
