Samira Adam Mohammed Bio

She is an Emarati Interior Designer, born in 4th of August 1987. Since the childhood she was very interested in being an Archaeologist, because she

couldn›t studied what she always desired, she entered Zayed University, and studied Interior Design. Because of her love of culture and history, she always

included her passion for culture in her design. She was known since the first interior design studio of

being specialized in Arabic contemporary designs. Some designer take years to find out their path in design industry, but she knew where she belong already in university. She dreams to design for goodness of

humanity, trying to change the world for those who needs the most these changes.

Designer Statment

I had always been inspired and fascinated by the histories, legends and cul-ture. I have very strong bond with the past, its inspirer’s me, and have some

mysteries feeling about it, that want me to explore more, and live in that en-vironment, sometimes I do feel that I came from the past. Moreover, I always remember Shiekh Zayed saying about the person’s history, “a person who has

no past, will have no future».When it come to design, I always get inspired from the Islamic and Emarati background that I come from, and I always try to make flavor of the Islam-ic and Emarati cultures element and integrated into my design. My design is all about presenting developing the Islamic and Emarati design to mod-ernize it, and make it more contemporary, and settled. The culture is a very big field, and it’s amazing how using the culture as my inspiration, I came up with completely different design! This is my path that I will follow in

future, I want to change my city, and give it feature of Islamic and Emarati Country, rather than Foreign looking city.

This project was about design-ing Arabic restaurant in New York City, in Time Square. So

putting heaven and paradise as or inspiration, we gave it name Arasium. the idea behind is the

old arabic famous designer used paradise as thier inspira-tion and came up with beau-tiful designs, so we imitated

them by chosing the same path that they chose in the past.

Here are two of my projects. Armani Hotel Room Redesign, I used Arabic calligraphy to design a frame to create the dessert. The attention was to change the Armani minimal-ist design, and give it Arabic feature. while, the spa design,
