5 things happen when allowing MDO Master data create
Allows centralised/decentralised, electronic access to create Materials
(or Vendors, Service Masters, BOM’s etc) either from within the Catalog
or via direct access
Only agreed nouns/attributes (and subsequent approved naming
conventions) can be selected ensuring consistent master data
Duplicates are in your face. If you try to repeat an existing description,
warnings are given that material exists already
‘Real Time Governance’, approvals/authorisations take place BEFORE
data is entered into SAP (no garbage in!)
On final approval, data is created automatically in SAP (and then
automatically available in MDO Catalog)
